MILLERSBURG -- Saloma Miller, 91, 7378 Township Road 601, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Altercare of Millersburg, after an extended illness. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Fryburg Beachy Fellowship Church, with Bishop Paul Chupp officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call tonight (Thursday) from 6-9 and Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the church. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements. She was born Oct. 3, 1907, in Wayne County to Jacob and Mary (Miller) Coblentz and married Noah D.M. Miller on Sept. 25, 1934. He died Jan. 23, 1987. Surviving are daughters, Betty Wagler of Hartville and Mrs. Adam S. (Anna) Miller and a son, Wayne and wife, Lydia Ann Miller, all of Millersburg; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

RITTMAN -- Fred J. Rice Jr., 62, 346 Diane St., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Wade Park Veterans Hospital in Cleveland. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with James A. Foster officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. He was born Dec. 12, 1936 in Radnor, W.Va., to Fred J. and Dorothy (Fortner) Rice Sr. and married Helen Lemon. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Christine and husband, Timothy Stoufer of Sugarcreek; two grandchildren; sisters and their spouses, Anna and Ulys Gunnels, and Lorene and Harry Samic, all of Rittman.

MILLERSBURG -- Richard Allen Kisling, 40, 6732 Township Road 323, died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 13, at his home after an extended illness. He was born Nov. 28, 1958 in Rockingham County, Va., to James Samuel and Thelma Maxine (Hensley) Kisling and married Linda Catherine Witmer on May 28, 1988. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Marlene Rose, Jason Andrew, Sharon Beth and Samuel James Kisling, all of the home; his mother of Timberville, Va.; and brothers, James Boyd, George Authur and Marvin Samuel Kisling, all of Harrisonburg, Va., Donald Ray Kisling of Timberville, Va., Darrell Wayne Kisling of Singers Glen, Va., and Robert Lynn Kisling of Richmond, Va.

She was born March 11, 1938 in Coshocton to Walker and Rose (Wright) Lowe and married Grover Cleveland Ross Jr. on July 24, 1964. He died Dec. 6, 1986. Surviving are children, Patsy Long of Clark and Shannon Wilde of Coshocton; three grandchildren; and sisters, Eddie Rodrick of Coshocton and Joy McCollum of Millersburg.

He was born April 13, 1914 in Orrville to Carmon and Nora (Dean) Adams and married Iva May Beck on July 8, 1938. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, David Adams of Pottstown, Pa., and James and wife, Cathie Adams of Beech City; a granddaughter; and a sister, Sylvia Maurer of Wadsworth.

SPRING, Texas -- Russell "Rocky" Shakley, 86, of Spring, Texas, formerly of West Salem, died Saturday, Jan. 9, at Woodland Health Care Center in Spring, Texas. His first wife, Dora Markley, died Jan. 4, 1966.

She was born Sept. 26, 1918 near Scio to George C. and Martha L. (McFadden) McCombs and was married to Carl B. Davis for 37 years. He died in 1974. Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Noah of Wooster and a son, Richard and wife, Donna Davis of Magnolia; grandchildren, Donald Lee Noah of Frederick, Md., J. David Noah of Kettering, Douglas E.
