Darrel Neil Leeth-Wright
BELLEFONTAINE - Darrel Neil Leeth-Wright was stillborn at 5:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.
He was the son of Nathan Dean Wright and Destiny Marie Leeth. They survive.
Also surviving are grandparents Deborah and Gregory Matthews and Aaron and Melani Wright, all of Bellefontaine. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Darrell Neil Leeth.
Graveside services will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery at 3 p.m. today with the Rev. A.W. Purdin officiating. There is no visitation.
Eicholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine is handling arrangements.
Jennie Courtad
CAREY - Jennie E. Courtad, formerly of Clay Street in Carey, died at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday at the Carey Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 70.
A daughter of Clarence M. "Shang" and Leona (Rall) Courtad, she was born in Carey on Aug. 13, 1934.
Surviving are three sisters, Donna Fabiani and Patricia Brashares, Carey; and Nancy Vogel, Norwalk; a brother, James Courtad, Powell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Courtad.
A 1952 graduate of Carey High School, Ms. Courtad retired in 1994 from Allied Signal in Fostoria.
She attended the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation.
Ms. Courtad was a life member of VFW Post No. 3759 Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post No. 344 Auxiliary and Eagles Aerie No. 2198, all in Carey.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the original shrine church in Carey, with the Rev. Ernest Waechter officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carey. Visitation is at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey from 4-8 p.m. today, with a VFW Auxiliary memorial service at 7:15 p.m. and a Christian wake at 7:30 p.m.

Maryann Kinnear
FOREST - Maryann Kinnear of Arlington, died at the Good Samaritan Center in Arlington at 1:51 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004. She was 67.
Arrangements are pending at Shields Funeral Home.
Jimmy Marshall
CALEDONIA - Jimmy E. Marshall, 72, of Caledonia, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Marion General Hospital.
Born on Dec. 16, 1932, in Mount Blanchard, he was a son of Frank "Pete" and Eva Bame-Marshall. On April 12, 1958, he married Shirley A. Smithson at the Patterson United Methodist Church. She survives.
Also surviving are five children, Jim, Howell, Mich.; Jalene Kin, Upper Sandusky; Troy, Glendale, Ariz.; Ty, Marion; and Shanna Keene, Caledonia; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Jerry, Bluffton; and four sisters, Maxine Tracy, Forest; Regina Hougendobler, Midlothiam, Va.; Nancy Marshall, Forest; and Sally Jordan, Lake Lure, N.C.
A 1950 graduate of Forest High School, Mr. Marshall graduated from Andrews Barber College in Columbus. He co-owned and operated the J&B Barber Shop in Marion for 42 years. He also was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Pacific during the Korean War.
Mr. Marshall was a lifetime member of Forest VFW Post No. 1182. He enjoyed woodworking, doing crossword puzzles and playing Trivial Pursuit. He was an OSU football and Cleveland Browns fan.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 10:15 a.m. in Caledonia Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Young officiating. Military honors will be provided by members of VFW Post No. 1182. Visitation is from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Timson Allen and Melroy Funeral home, 407 S. Main St., Caledonia.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Patrick Logsdon
Patrick J. "P.J." Logsdon, formerly of Upper Sandusky and more recently of Columbus, died at his residence on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004. He was 47.
Born in Upper Sandusky on July 15, 1957, he was a son of C. Patrick and Rita (Niederkohr) Logsdon. He and Rosalie Karg were married in Upper Sandusky on Sept. 24, 1976. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Benjamin, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; a daughter, Veronica Logsdon, Columbus; a brother, Michael, England; and two sisters, Sharon Huffman and Karen Logsdon, Upper Sandusky. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve.
A 1975 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School, Mr. Logsdon was a self-employed independent courier for the last 15 years, and a co-owner and operator of a small retail business in Columbus.
He was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church and of St. Agnes in Columbus, and more recently was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Columbus. He had been a minister of hospitality.
Mr. Logsdon was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Air Force as a communications specialist. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hiking.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Kent Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by local veterans’ organizations. Visitation is at Bringman-Clark and Co. Funeral Home from 2-6 p.m. Sunday. A biblical Scripture service will be held there at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Christopher John Nye
CAREY - Christopher John Nye was stillborn on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
He was a son of Michael L. and Carin M. (Gottfried) Nye of Kirby.
Also surviving are two brothers, Ryan and twin brother Alexander, both at home; maternal grandparents Scott and Virginia Gottfried, Kirby; paternal grandparents, Ronald Nye and Ginny Duffee, Toledo; and two maternal great-grandparents and three paternal great-grandparents. He was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Sara Nye.
Graveside services were held Monday, Dec. 20, in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carey, with the Rev. Kent Kaufman officiating. Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Vernon Collins
MARION - Vernon C. Collins, 1639 Marion-Waldo Road, died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at Wyandot Manor. He was 76.
Born in Ironton on Dec. 7, 1928, he was a son of Chester and Ruth (Hankins) Collins. He married Donna Mae Wilson on April 1, 1948, in Greenup, Ky., and she died April 6, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Gary, Springtown, Tex.; Brian, Marion; three daughters, Carol Needles, Upper Sandusky; Bonnie MacFar-land, Runnemede, N.J.; and Joyce Smith, Marion; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, William, Marion. He was preceded in death by a brother, James.
A 60-year resident of Marion, Mr. Collins retired in 1994 after 42 years with the Erie, E-L, and Conrail Railroad. He was a member of the United States Trotters Association and enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, shooting pool, playing cards and harness horses.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd Funeral Home in Marion, the Rev. Kenneth Durtsche officiating. Burial will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Katherine Corfman
FREMONT - Katherine B. Corfman, 73, of Ohio 12, Fremont, died Saturday, Dec, 18, 2004, at St. Lucie Medical Center in Florida.
She was born April 30, 1931, in Norfolk, Va., the daughter of the late Arnold and Sarah (Sawyer) Bonney, Sr.
She married Wayne L. Corfman on Nov. 18, 1956 in Norfolk, Va., and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David Wayne, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Daniel Ray, Fremont; a brother, Arnold Bonney Jr., New Port News, Va.; a sister, Joyce Sutton, Mathews, Va., and grandchildren Justin and Jessica Corfman, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lyle Jean Hurst.
Mrs. Corfman was a homemaker and a member of Bible Baptist Church in Tiffin where she taught Sunday school. She loved Jesus Christ, children and sewing. She was also involved in Fair Ministry.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home, 425 E. State St., Fremont, with burial in Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Amazing Grace Missions, Blind Children in Ethiopia, Deaf Children in Botswana, Africa, or the International Board of Jewish Missions.
Charles Grubbs
BELLEFONTAINE - Charles "Chuck" T. Grubbs Jr., 47, of Bellefontaine, died at 9:23 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.
A son of Charles T. Grubbs Sr. and Marilyn A. Parker Austin, he was born in Bellefontaine on Feb. 12, 1957. His mother survives in Upper Sandusky.
Also surviving are a son, Justin, Bellefontaine; four brothers, John, Upper Sandusky; William Scott and David, Bellefontaine; and Doug, Marysville; and a sister, Chris Garverick, Powell. He was preceded in death by his father.
A 1975 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Mr. Grubbs was an electrician for Watkins Electric.
Mr. Grubbs enjoyed repairing and working on computers.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Eicholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, with the Rev. Ron Irick officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty. Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine.
