Isabelle Nagel
CAREY - Isabelle E. Nagel, formerly of West Findlay Street in Carey, and more recently of the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died at the facility at 12:25 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004. She was 95.
Born in Cottleville, Mo., on Feb. 2, 1909, she was a daughter of John F. and Alice M. (Wentz) Gutermuth. She and Frank J. Nagel were married on June 8, 1950. He died May 21, 1993.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Alma Bohlen, Selma Suber, Ella Plott, Alice Putnam; and a brother, Eugene Gutermuth.
Mrs. Nagel was a homemaker. She was of the Protestant faith.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Beach Funeral Home in Carey, with the Rev. Charles Steward officiating. Burial will be in Wharton-Richland Union Cemetery. Visitation is for two hours before the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the activities department at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center or Carey Food Pantry.
Edmond Lanker
CAREY -- Edmond "Gene" Lanker, 205 Dow St., Carey, died at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay. He was 71.
Born March 24, 1933 in Carey, he was the son of Ralph and Natella (Oglesbee) Lanker. He married Jeannine O. Brown, and they were divorced.
Surviving are two sons, Clifford, Carey; Dwayne, Upper Sandusky; one daughter, Pam Shumaker, Bowling Green; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and special friend, Colette High, Carey. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Lynch, and one great-granddaughter.
A 1951 graduate of Carey High School, Mr. Lanker retired in 1985 from Sentle Trucking after 22 years as a driver. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Carey, and of American Legion Post No. 344 in Carey.
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, the Rev. James Sharrett officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends will gather from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Dorcas Carey Public Library or Grace United Methodist Church, or a charity of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
Ralph Ringelman
Ralph E. Ringelman of Upper Sandusky died at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. He was 83.
Arrangements are pending at Lucas Funeral Home.
Janis Geary
SYCAMORE - Janis E. Geary, 69, of rural Tiffin, died at her home at 5:47 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004.
Born in Wyandot County on July 8, 1935, she was a daughter of Everett E. and Lula M. (Hablitzel) Corfman. She married Robert E. Yuhas on June 24, 1953, and they later divorced. She and Berlyn G. Geary married on Aug. 21, 1976. He survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Julie Lescallett, rural Tiffin; Bonita Ramirez and Karen Wise, Tiffin; and Cynthia Fleck, Findlay; three stepchildren, Pamela Shaw, rural Tiffin; Todd Geary, Sycamore; and Kimberly Hurley, Upper Sandusky; seven grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Duane Corfman, Sycamore; and three sisters, Ruth Ann Myers, Bloomdale; Marilyn Holdcraft and Rita Van Hoosier, Bucyrus. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Jerry, Charles, Keith, Daryl and Larry Corfman.
A 1953 graduate of Sycamore High School, Mrs. Geary retired as an inspector at Timken Roller Bearing plant in Bucyrus after 30 years. She also worked at General Electric in Bucyrus for seven years.
She was a member of Sycamore United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Geary was a 35-year member of Sycamore American Legion Auxiliary No. 250, a 20-year member of the Sycamore Lioness Club, a former member of the Sycamore Pythian Sisters and a 30-year member of Buckaroos Western Square Dance Club in Bucyrus. She also was a member of the Shelman Model A Club in Shelby, the Seneca Cruisers Car Club, the Car Coddlers Car Club in Sandusky and the Mohawk Historical Society. She enjoyed her garden, flowers, hunting for mushrooms and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore, with the Rev. Kelly Brown officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Keith Hossler
SYCAMORE - Keith A. Hossler of rural Tiffin, died at the age of 66 at his home at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004.
A son of Henry N. and Mary (Keller) Hossler, he was born in Tiffin on May 30, 1938. He and Rita Karg were married Oct. 26, 1963. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Tiffin; three daughters, Karen Kline and Wendy Shellhouse, rural Tiffin; and Shannon Roper, Tiffin; a son, Timothy, Tiffin; nine grandchildren, Jackie, Julie and Jacob Kline, Jennifer and Chelsea Roper, Andrew and Chad Shellhouse, and Keegan and Brittany Hossler; three brothers, Daryl, Washugal, Wash.; Eldon, Tiffin; and Neil, Fostoria; and his extended family of Rob, Angie, Harley and Dylan Sloan, Tiffin.
A 1956 graduate of McCutchenville High School, Mr. Hossler was a manager of New Haven Supply in Tiffin and Upper Sandusky. He formerly worked at Mohawk Supply in Tiffin and at the former U.S. Commission Co. in McCutchenville.
He was a member of McCutchenville United Church of Christ.
Mr. Hossler served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1961-67. He was a member of the Tiffin Chamber of Commerce and the Seneca County Homebuilders Association. He also enjoyed farming, camping with his family.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore with the Rev. Jan Kucera officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville, where Sycamore American Legion No. 250 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation is at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the organization of the donor's choice.
Darlene Prince
Darlene E. Prince of Upper Sandusky, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. She was 69.

Warren Scott
BUCYRUS - Warren G. Scott, 83, of Upper Sandusky, died Friday evening, Dec. 24, 2004, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
Born in Gallipolis on June 4, 1921, he was a son of Walter and Irene (Wagner) Scott. On March 12, 1983, he married Gertrude J. (Miller) Rossman. She survives.
Also surviving are three stepsons, Steven Rossman, Bucyrus; Michael Rossman, Philadelphia; and William Rossman, Galion; numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and two brothers, Clifford, Sycamore; and Walter, North Robinson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and William; and two sisters, Dorothy Scott and Mary Schirack.
Mr. Scott lived in the Nevada and Sycamore areas for most of his life, and worked at the railroad for a couple of years. He worked for Webster Foundry in Tiffin for 30 years, retiring from there.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus, with the Rev. Bob Jividen officiating. Burial will be in Oceola Cemetery. Visitation is for an hour before the service at the funeral home.

Matthew Beach
SYCAMORE - Matthew J. Beach, 5968 Ohio 231, Sycamore, died at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at the intersection of County Highway 39 and Ohio 231. He was 15.
A son of James R. and Pamela L. (Zoeller) Beach, he was born in Tiffin on Aug. 21, 1989. His parents survive.
Also surviving are a brother, Stephen at home; maternal grandparents, Marcia Zoeller and Paul Zoeller, both of Tiffin; and paternal grandparents, Ron Beach, Bucyrus, and Melvin and Joan Ross, rural Sycamore.
Mr. Beach was a freshman at Mohawk High School, and a member of the high school wrestling team. He also was a member of Mohawk FFA.
Mr. Beach enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, his Chevy pickup truck, going four-wheeling, playing poker with his friends and going to antique tractor shows.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore, with the Rev. David Roach officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Wyandot County Sportsman Club or Mohawk FFA.
Kyle Griffin
SYCAMORE - Kyle A. Griffin, 4435 CH 134, Sycamore, died at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at the intersection of County Highway 39 and Ohio 231. He was 16.
Born in Upper Sandusky on Feb. 2, 1988, he was a son of Bruce A. and Denise K. (Long) Griffin. His parents survive.
Also surviving are two brothers, Shawn and Shane at home; maternal grandfather, Don Long, Upper Sandusky; paternal grandparents, Eugene and JoAnne Griffin, rural Upper Sandusky; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Cleda Long.
Mr. Griffin was a sophomore at Mohawk High School, where he was a two-year member of the Mohawk FFA.
He attended Sycamore United Methodist Church.
Mr. Griffin was a former member of the Kids Got the Spirit 4-H Club, Sycamore Cub Scout Pack 118 and Sycamore Boy Scout Troop 138. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Kelly Brown officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation is from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
