Harvey M. Alderfer
Harvey M. Alderfer of the Lutheran Community At Telford died late Sunday, June 3, 2001 in the Community’s Skilled Nursing Unit, where he had been a medical patient since May 3. He was 99. He was the husband of 66 years to Lillian Mae (Smith) Alderfer, who died in May of 1991. A native and lifetime resident of Telford, Pa., he was the son of the late Isaac L. and Ella O. (Moyer) Alderfer. He was a 1934 graduate of Pierce Business School of Philadelphia. Mr. Alderfer was a partner with his brother, the late Willis M. Alderfer, for 44 years in the ownership of I.L. Alderfer Sons Chrysler and Plymouth Dealers of Telford until the business was sold in 1979 to Bergey’s of Franconia, Pa. He was a longtime active member of Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, Telford. Mr. Alderfer served on the Telford Borough Water Authority, where he received recognition for his 22 years of service. He was also Charter member of the Telford Lions and served as its first president. He was a Mason and a member of the McCalla Lodge No. 596 F&AM in Souderton, and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 1539 in Sellersville. Mr. Alderfer and his wife enjoyed surf fishing off the Jersey Shore. He is survived by a son, Merrill S. Alderfer and his wife, E. Christine of Perkasie; five grandchildren, Mark R. Alderfer and his wife, Vivian, John R. Alderfer and his wife, Nina, Sharon Walter, Patricia, wife of Don Shisler, and H. Daniel Alderfer and his wife, Doreen; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Harvey L. Alderfer; a brother, Willis M. Alderfer; two sisters, Fanny A. Kinsey and Ellen Merrick; five infant brothers and sisters; and a step great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at 11 a.m. in the Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, Telford, Pa. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Jane Nicholas Bedinger
Jane Nicholas Bedinger of Hatboro died on Friday, June 1, 2001 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 82. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Garvin for 24 years and the late Henry Bedinger for 26 years. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Andrew J. Nicholas and Anna D. Gosling. She graduated from Abington High School in 1938 and Pierce Business College. She was employed by Sears Roebuck and Company and retired in 1981. She was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 346, Jenkintown. She was also an active member of the Navy League, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Church of the Advent. She volunteered at the Orangeman’s Home and Abington Memorial Hospital. She is survived by a loving family including a son, Andrew N. Garvin of Abington; a daughter, Jane G. Forgione and son-in-law, Arthur M. Forgione Sr. of Willow Grove; three grandchildren, Nicolette M. Isidori of Ambler, Karen E. Bossert of Beech Creek, Pa. and Arthur (Marty) M. Forgione Jr. of Warrington; and three great-grandchildren, Robert, Tristan and Ryan. Theresa Mary McDonnell Bruno
Theresa Mary McDonnell Bruno of Jamison died Sunday, June 3, 2001 at her residence. She was 43. She was the beloved wife of Robert Bruno for 18 years. She was the dearest daughter of Anna Mae Caine McDonnell and the late Edward J. McDonnell. A loving member of the Jamison community who was filled with love and goodness, she rejoiced with the angels as they took her hand and led her to the comfort and peace of our Lord’s arms. She battled with breast cancer for 10 years, but never let her suffering and pain interfere with her love and concern for family, friends and community. Theresa continually performed countless volunteer services, which included being a Mom to her children’s sports teams, a CCD instructor and school aide. She was loved and valued as a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her love and memory will live on forever. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her three children, Robert E., Juliann Marie and James M. Bruno, all at home; her two brothers, Edward J. Reverend Robert D. Burns Jr.
Reverend Robert D. Burns Jr. of North Wales, formerly of Glenside, died Sunday, June 3, 2001 at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Rectory. He was 56. Born in Abington, he was the son of the late Robert D. and Cecelia (Wilbur) Burns, and stepson of Edward C. Walsh Sr. of Roslyn. Reverend Burns was a 1962 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. He then entered the U.S. Navy and later joined the U.S. Marines, and served in Vietnam as a corpsman during the war. He received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and other medals and recognitions. He was a teacher, then became principal at St. Gabriel’s Hall in Audubon from 1984 to 1998. While principal, the school received a National Excellence Award from President Bush. He entered St. Vincent’s Seminary, Latrobe, Pa. in 1998 and was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest for the Harrisburg Diocese on June 2, 2001. He was the brother of Edward C. Walsh of Roslyn, Elizabeth Capaldi (Ben) of Dresher, Sharon Fitzpatrick (Bob) of Montgomeryville and Robin Burns of Hendersonville, N.C. He is also survived by three nieces, one nephew and one grandniece. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Most Reverend Nicholas C. Dattilo, D.D. Reverend Monsignor Joseph E. Lynaugh

Reverend Monsignor Joseph E. Lynaugh, Pastor Emeritus, Queen of Peace Parish, Ardsley, and resident of Villa Saint Joseph, Darby, died at Villa Saint Joseph, Darby, on June 2, 2001. Monsignor Lynaugh was born on November 19, 1910 in Pottsville, Pa. He was the son of the late Joseph Francis Lynaugh and the late Mary Edward Sweeney. Monsignor Lynaugh attended Pottsville Public School, Saint Patrick Parochial School, Pottsville; and Saint Patrick High School, Pottsville, before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. Monsignor Lynaugh was ordained on May 30, 1936 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia, by Most Reverend Hugh L. Lamb. On September 13, 1965, Monsignor Lynaugh was named Domestic Prelate of His Holiness by Pope Paul VI. Monsignor Lynaugh served as Parochial Vicar, Annunciation B.V.M. Parish, Shenandoah; Saint Timothy Parish, Philadelphia; and Saint Francis de Sales Parish, Philadelphia. In January 1954, Monsignor Lynaugh was appointed founding Pastor, Queen of Peace Parish, Ardsley, where he served for 34 years. He was named Pastor Emeritus there in 1988. Monsignor Lynaugh also served on the Building Committee of the Archdiocese and was Chairman of the Parish Sites and Boundaries Committee. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by His Eminence Anthony Cardinal Bevilacqua at Queen of Peace Parish, Ardsley, Pa., on Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at 11 a.m. Assisting at the altar will be Monsignor Philip J. Mabel H. Smith
Mabel H. Smith of the Lutheran Community At Telford, Telford, Pa., formerly of Sellersville, died Saturday evening, June 2, 2001 in the Community’s Skilled Nursing Unit, where she had been a medical patient for several months. She was 84. She was the wife of 30 years to Bentley G. Smith who died in March of 1989. Born in Souderton, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Edna Pearl (Hunsicker) Shoemaker. A resident of Sellersville for many years, she entered the Lutheran Community At Telford in 1991 as one of their first residents to the new addition. Mrs. Smith worked for the former C.D. Moyer’s of Sellersville for many years and also in the hosiery industry including the former Granite Hosiery Mills, Souderton and the former Deleux’s of Sellersville. Later she worked along with her husband, Bentley at the store they owned and operated, Lesher’s Five and Dime Store of Perkasie for twenty years, until the store was sold in 1984. She was an active member for more than 75 years of Zwingli United Church of Christ, Souderton where she served on various committees. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Nancy Jane Lancenese of Telford; two stepgrandchildren, Michele Burke and Geoffrey Lancenese; a stepgreat-granddaughter, Morgan Lancenese; and a brother, Nari H. Shoemaker and his wife, Ethel of Souderton. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth H. Texter who died in June, 1991; and an infant sister, Anna Hunsicker. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 7 at 11 a.m. in the Zwingli United Church of Christ, Wile Avenue and Walnut Street, Souderton. Dorothea E. Vollmar
Dorothea E. Vollmar of Hatboro passed away suddenly Saturday, June 2, 2001 in Abington. She was 83. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Vollmar. Born in Lower Providence, Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lillie (Graham) Beard and had resided in Hatboro for 56 years. An expert seamstress, Dorothea did alterations for many friends and relatives, along with designing and creating wedding gowns. She was the devoted mother of Deadra LaJeunesse and Charlene Leis. Dorothea is also survived by two granddaughters, Jaime Flagler and Dayna Leis; a great-grandaughter, Kylie Flagler; a sister, Grace Shupe; and a brother, Harry Beard. Dorothy Louise Walters
Dorothy Louise Walters of Quakertown, formerly of Perkasie, died late Thursday night, May 31, 2001 in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown, where she had been a patient since March of this year. She had been in failing health for four months. She was 76 years old. Born in Falls Mills, Va., she was the daughter of the late Sidney Crockett and Myrtle (Kirtner) Knode. A resident of Perkasie for most of her adult life, she moved to Grundy House, Quakertown in 1989. Mrs. Walters was employed for many years in the Production Department of the former Melvin Freed’s Glass Company of Perkasie until her retirement in 1989. She was president of the Grundy House Association and Honorary Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Perkasie Fire Company. She is survived by a daughter, Betty L. McGinness of Quakertown; three grandchildren, Angela and Erica McGinness and Jennifer Walters; a great-granddaughter, Josey Walters; and a brother, Leonard Knode and his wife, Helen of Roanoke, Va. She was preceded in death by three sons, Jack K., Raymond Lee and Robert Walters Jr.; and four brothers, Eugene, Arnold, Jack and James R. Knode. Jane (Lightell) Campbell of Doylestown died on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at Pine Run Community. She was 87. She was the wife the the late Peter Campbell. Born in New Orleans, La., she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Rose (St. Anne) Lightell. Jane is survived by two daughters, Hazel Isabella and her husband, Benny, of Horsham and Catherine Fay Heckler and her husband, Donald L., of Doylestown; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Kathleen, Chris, Kim, Chuck, David and Michael; and seven great-grandchildren, Zachery, Tyler, Jasen, Amanda, Ashley, Matthew and Jonathan. Daniel J. Cerven
Daniel J. Cerven of New Hope, Solebury Township, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 85. Daniel was the husband of Wilma G. (Kreisler) Cerven, who died this past July. Born in Newark, N.J., Daniel was the son of the late John and Susan (Usak) Cerven. Daniel was a retired U.S. Army colonel and a member of the Navy League. He attended St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Bedminster. Daniel is survived by one son, Daniel R. Cerven and his wife, Bonnie, of Quakertown; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Ruth Smith and Dorothy Murphy. Raymond J. deGroot
Raymond J. deGroot, a two-year resident of Yardley, formerly of Ottsville, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002. He was 36. He was the husband of Suellen K. Brunswick-deGroot. Born in Doylestown, he was a son of Terry R. and Wendy R. (Van Breugel) DeGroot. Raymond was formerly employed for seven years with the Central Bucks School District, teaching at Central Bucks East and Holicong schools. He was most recently employed by Inlingua Inc., Philadelphia. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three brothers, Terry and his wife, Julie, of Bath, Pa., Michael of Colorado, and Craig and his partner, Gerwin Janssen, of New York. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews. Ruth R. Fleck
Ruth R. Fleck, formerly of Holland Township, N.J., died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, in Manorcare Health Services, Bethlehem. She was 89. She was the widow of William A. Fleck who died in 1968. Born March 17, 1913 in Kintnersville, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Dillon Shannon. Mrs. Fleck was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Milford, N.J. and a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Haycock Run and St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Riegelsville. She is survived by a brother, Thomas Shannon of Hellertown; and four nephews and four nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Haycock Run. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. There will be no calling hours. John A. Howell Jr.
John A. Howell Jr. of Lambertville, N.J. died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at his home. He was 73. He was the husband of Mary Jane Williamson Howell.
Born in Lambertville, he was the son of the late John A. Howell Sr. and Ella Marie Trauger Howell. Mr. Howell was a lifelong resident of Lambertville. He served as an officer with the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission for 28 years, retiring as a sergeant in 1987. Earlier he and his father owned and operated the Amoco Station at Bridge and Main streets in Lambertville. For 37 years he was a substitute school bus driver of the South Hunterdon Regional School District. He also worked as a driver for Flemington Car and Truck Country. He served with the National Guard for eight years. Mr. Howell was active in volunteer emergency services in Lambertville. In 2002, he marked 59 years as a member of the Hibernia Volunteer Fire Co. He was also a past president of the Hibernia Fire Co. At the time of his death, he was the chairman of the Lambertville Fire Commission. He also was a past president of the Lambertville Ambulance Association, a past member of the Lambertville Public School Board, a past president of the Mount Hope Cemetery Association, Lambertville and a past scout master of Lambertville Boy Scout Troop 49. He was a member of the Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead Museum, Lambertville, the Amwell Masonic Lodge 12, the Loyal Order of Moose, Doylestown Lodge, and the Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Howell was a member and past deacon of the Old Rocks Church of West Amwell and a past deacon and session member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John A. Howell III and Kathleen Howell of Solebury; his grandchildren, Sara Marie Howell and John Michael Howell of Solebury; his sister, Doris Lister of Washington Crossing, Pa.; and his nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York St., Lambertville. Rev. David Errickson of Old Rocks Church of West Amwell will officiate. Richard J. Hutchinson
Richard J. Hutchinson of Doylestown died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 85. He was the beloved husband of Frances McCaney Hutchinson. They were married for 60 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Schruen Hutchinson. Mr. Hutchinson was a resident of Doylestown for the past 10 years, and had formerly resided in Clifton Heights, Pa. for more than 40 years. He graduated in 1936 from South Philadelphia High School, where he was a star player on the baseball team. After graduation, he went on to play semi-pro baseball for the Eastern Shore league. Mr. Hutchinson was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
Before retiring in 1989, he was employed as an industrial engineer with Honeywell Corp. for 44 years. In his leisure time, Mr. Hutchinson enjoyed gardening. Throughout his lifetime, he had a special love for children and all types of animals. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his son, William J. Hutchinson of Newport, Wash; his two daughters, Patricia Ann Stairiker and her husband, Daniel, of Doylestown, and Susan M. Valley of Englewood, Ohio; and a sister, Marie Abbruzzese of Pennsauken, N.J. He also is survived by his eight grandsons. Frank Kallatch, a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant, died at his home on Friday, Sept. 27, 2002. He was 78. He was the husband of Caroline (Rubino) Kallatch.
Born in Lumberville, he was a son of the late Alex and Mary Ann (Necheski) Kallatch. Frank was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Wanda F. Kimmey of Chalfont died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at her residence. She was 80. Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of Chalfont for 76 years.
She was the loving wife of 59 years to Curry N. Kimmey Sr.; and loving mother of Marsha A. Wright of Chalfont, Curry N. Kimmey Jr. of Florida, and Terence W. Kimmey of Chalfont. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Smith. Theresa (Drzalowski) Klepcznski of Philadelphia died Sept. 26, 2002. She was 88. She was the beloved wife of the late William Klepczynski; dear mother of Rita Campbell and her husband, Joseph, of Doylestown, and Dr. William J. Klepczynski and his wife, Gloria, of Edgewater, Md.; and loving grandmother of Dr. Joseph Campbell and his wife, Stefani, of Coopersburg, David Campbell and his wife, Joelene, of Pipersville, Gerald Campbell of Doylestown, Jean Horner and her husband, James, of Vienna, Va., and Mark Klepczynski and his wife, Sine, of Aspen, Colo. Gladys H. Marchese
Gladys H. Marchese of St. Mary Manor, Lansdale died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at her residence. She had been in failing health. She was 90. She was the wife of Harry S. Marchese, who died in February of 1972. Formerly of Hatfield and Norristown, she had been a resident of St. Mary Manor for seven years. Born in Souderton on March 16, 1912, Mrs. Marchese was the daughter of the late Franklin and Addie Maur Hager. She had worked in inside sales at a flag manufacturing company.
Mrs. Marchese was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norristown. She is survived by a daughter, Marlene A. Gregory and her husband, Joseph, of Jamison; nine grandchildren, Bethanne Dayton, Bonnie Irvin, Brenda and Barbara Gregory, Robert and Paula Marchese, Annette Sailer, and William and Jeff Stahl; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane Stahl in 1997; a son, Paul Marchese in 1971; three brothers, Henry, Franklin and Richard Hager; and a sister, Thelma Slotter. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, in the Chapel at St. Mary Manor, 701 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, North Wales. Michael G. Papelian
Michael George Papelian of Jamison died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at his residence. He was 80. Born in New York, N.Y., he was a son of the late George and Rose Masoian Papelian. He was a resident of Queens, N.Y. prior to moving to Jamison three years ago, where he was a member of Yorktown Community. Prior to his retirement, Michael owned and operated a deli and grocery store in New York City for 40 years. He was a World War II veteran and had served with the U.S. Coast Guard. Michael was a member of St. Vartan’s Armenian Cathedral in New York City. He is survived by one sister, Bertha Takoushian of Jamison; and eight nieces: Lydia Arakelian and her husband, Niki, of Doylestown and their children, Niki, Lia and Alec; Loretta Teri and her husband, Russ, of Holtsville, N.Y. and their child, Julia; and Anna Boghosian, Mimi Rubido, Arlene Sims, Laura Knauss, Janet Papelian and Jackie Dougherty, and one nephew, Skip Papelian, all of Los Angeles. He also is survived by several other great-nieces and nephews in California. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mack and Vincent and his sister, Beatrice Boghosian. Edwin W. Schneider
Edwin W. Schneider of New Britain died Sept 25, 2002, at his residence. He was 77. He was the husband of Joan (Mitchell) Schneider, who died in 1989.
Born in Philadelphia on Nov. 26, 1924, he was a son of the late Albert and Adaline Freasal Schneider. He was employed as an electrical systems manager with Leeds & Northrup for 35 years. He retired in 1987. Mr. Schneider was commander of VFW Post 3258, and retired after 10 years of service as a volunteer for Chalfont Fire Co. He is survived by his children, Richard N. Schneider (Marilynn) of Pittstown, N.J., Gerald R. Schneider (Sharon) of Mukwonago, Wis., and Barbara A. Collopy (Glenn) of New Tripoli, Pa.; a sister, Gertrude Ruth; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Schneider Jr. and Otto Schneider. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Wittmaier-Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 E. Butler Ave. (Route 202), Chalfont, where friends may call from 9:30 until the time of the service. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Philadelphia.

Joseph Comly Stover
Joseph Comly Stover of Ivyland passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002. He was 92. Born in Buckingham on July 30, 1910, he was the son of the late Elizabeth B. and Joseph H. Stover. He attended Buckingham School until 11th grade and went for his last year at Hatboro High School, graduating in 1928. During his lifetime he was employed at the Hosiery Mill in Hatboro and at Brewsters, where he worked on aircraft and missiles for 17 years. He was also employed at Chase Aircraft, Hercules Powder and Fischer & Porter. He retired from Fischer & Porter in 1975 after nine years. In 1951 he became involved with Centennial School Board for 22 years. He was an advocate in establishing the Middle Bucks Vo-Tech School and served 18 years on the Advisory Committee at the school. Mr. Stover was a member of Ivyland Presbyterian Church, having served in many capacities from 1941 to 1944. He was a member and officer for the Odd Fellows Lodge 447, Jamison. In addition, he served on the Park and Recreation Board of Ivyland Borough, and was involved with and supported the Boy Scouts of America. In between all of the work and community activities he kept busy with his hobbies, namely hunting, fishing, gardening, photography, and traveling nationwide and in Alaska with his Air Stream trailer. He was a terrific wine maker and unselfishly shared it with his family and friends. As Mr. Stover’s longtime neighbor and friend, Audrey Read, said, “He was a legend.” He was a devoted husband to his wife, Helen (Vasey) Stover, for 68 years; the loving father of Janet S. Ward of Horsham, and Comly Allen Stover (Freda) of Hatboro; the dear grandfather of Bradford Stover, Jeffrey Lynne Ward, Holly Tease, Bryan Stover, Heidi Stover, Heather Piasecki and Corinne Stover; and stepgrandfather of Gregory Smith and Jeffrey Smith. Three great-grandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren also survive. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Ivyland Presbyterian Church, 51 Gough Ave., Ivyland, PA 18974, where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Rev. Idwal H. Thomas
Reverend Idwal Henry Thomas of Hatfield, formerly of Harleysville, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center - Cedar Crest, Allentown. He was 81. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Fisher) Thomas. They had been married 54 years on Sept. 10. Born in Anglesy, Wales, he was a son of the late Harry and Enid (Thomas) Thomas. He was a graduate of Central High School in Philadelphia and Philadelphia College of the Bible (now Philadelphia Biblical University), and had attended Bob Jones University. He served with the U.S. Army 20th Air Corps during World War II.
Rev. Thomas served in the ministry for more than 55 years, including his service as a visiting pastor for Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Quakertown for 21 years, senior pastor at Christ Independent Bible Church in Perkasie for 12 years and associate pastor for the Church of the Open Door in Philadelphia for 19 years, where he was recognized as a charter member. He also was chaplain for the Sunday Breakfast Association in Philadelphia. He served as a board member for the African Inland Mission in Pearl River, N.Y. and the Independent Fundamental Churches of America. Reverend Thomas had a radio program on the former WBYO, now WBYN, in Boyertown for 12 years, where he developed the “Words to Live By” radio ministry. He was active with the prison ministry programs in Bucks and Lehigh counties for more than 10 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Thomas and his wife, Shirley, of Hatfield and Keith Thomas and his wife, Deborah, of Perkasie; five grandchildren, Eric, Kimberly, Kevin, Keith and Kristin; and four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Haley, Jeremy and Cora May. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Quakertown. Interment will be in Tohickon Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Raymond E. Truman
Raymond E. Truman of Telford died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, in Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 49. He and his wife, Diane Lynn (Smith) Truman would have observed their 23rd wedding anniversary in December 2002. Born in Kokomo, Ind., he was the son of the late Raymond Paul and Anne (Keith) Truman. Mr. Truman was employed as a machinist for Pennfield Precision Inc., Sellersville. He retired in April of 2002, after ten years, due to failing health. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, having served as a mechanic on the US Midway and the US Oklahoma City vessels. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lauren Claire Truman, at home, and a son, Keith Smith Truman of Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pa. Vincent I. Visco
Vincent I. Visco of Warrington died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at his home. He was 63. He was the husband of the late Anna Ventresca Visco.
Born in Italy, he was a son of the late Vincent and Annita Incollingo Visco. Vincent had lived in Warrington for the past 16 years and was formerly of Warminster and Philadelphia. Prior to his disability, he had been employed as a bell operator with Budd Co. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He is survived by a son, Vincent M. Visco of Warrington; and two sisters, Antonietta Visco and Maria Mancini. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Euclid Avenue, Warrington. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
