Alex Berman, 93, died Saturday morning at Four Courts Senior Center. He
was a graduate of the old Jefferson School of Law, a practicing attorney of
council at Fernadez, Friedman, Grossman, Kohn Attorneys' at Law, a past
President ofKeneseth Israel Congregation, a member of the American Bar
Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar
Association, B'nai Brith,St. George Masonic Lodge, former board member
of Jewish Community Center,Past President of the Junior Order of United
American Mechanics and a member Board member of the Louisville Jewish
Day School.
Survivors include:a daughter, Esther Banashek; son, Dr. Phillip Myer
Berman; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm today with visitation beginning after
12:00pm.Interment will be in the Keneseth Israel Cemetery .Memorial
gifts can be made toKeneseth Israel Congregation.

Friday, 4/28/2000 - 23 Nisan 5760
Irma Lee Fleischer, 78,died Tuesday morning at home.She was the
former Irma Zimmerman, a member of Keneseth Israel Congregation, a
member ofthe Keneseth Israel Sisterhood and Hadassah.
Survivors include:her husband, Jack Fleischer; a daughter, Marianne
Fleischer; a son, Dr. David Fleischer; a brother, Irvin Zimmerman and three
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm today with visitation beginning at 12:00
noon.Interment in Keneseth Israel Cemetery will follow the service.
Memorial gifts can be made to: Hospice of Louisville; Keneseth Israel
Congregation; or to Kosair Shrine Temple.

Tuesday, 4/25/2000 - 20 Nisan 5760
Sidney Baldwin, PhD, 75, died Saturday afternoon at Norton Audubon
Hospital.He was a native of Rochester, NY, a member of Adath Jeshurun
Congregation, the American Chemical Society, Who's Who in American
Science, a research chemist for Wright - Patterson Air Force Base in
Dayton,Ohio and also a research chemist for Joseph E. Seagrams and
Sons Distillery.
Survivors include:a daughter, Dr. Laurel Ettie Baldwin of Cape Town,
South Africa; two sons, Dr. Hillel Baldwin of Tucson, Arizona; Harley
Baldwin of Upland, California; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM with interment following in Adath
Jeshurun Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 AM.

Care Inpatient Unit. She was the former Edith Shirley Fine, a lifetime
member of Keneseth Israel Synagogue, life member of Keneseth Israel
Sisterhood, life member of Hadassah, and a member of the Jewish
Community Center.Survivors include:three sons, Randy Spivak, Gary
Spivak, and Nicky Spivak of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Shelley
Kriegshaber; a brother, Sidney Fine; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2:00pm at the funeral home with visitation
after 1:00pm.Interment will follow in Keneseth Israel Cemetery, Preston
Highway. Memorial gifts can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of
Louisville, the Jewish Community Center or the donor's favorite charity.

Gerri Miller, 75, died Monday afternoon at the Hospice & Palliative
Care Inpatient Unit.She was the former Gerri Wasbutsky and a member
of The Temple and The Temple Sisterhood.
Survivors include: her husband Stanley Miller; a daughter, Shelley Dice;
two sons, Mark Miller and Bruce Miller; a sister, Leta Baylus of Baltimore,
MD; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm today with visitation beginning
after 12:00 noon.Interment will follow in The Temple Cemetery, 2716
PrestonHighway.Memorial gifts can be made to Hospice of Louisville.

Howard W. Borsuk, 77, died Saturday evening at the Hospice & Palliative
Care Inpatient Unit. He was a professor emeritus and former dean of the
University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work, where he taught more
than thirty-six years; an Army veteran of World War II; a former member of
of the boards of Keneseth Israel Congregation and Jewish Family &
VocationalService; and a member of B'nai Brith.
Survivors include:his wife, Leonore Kalish Borsuk; three daughters,
Judith Kessler, Deborah Brill and Esther Borsuk; a brother, Bertram Borsuk;
and five grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Keneseth Israel Cemetery.
Memorial gifts can be made to either United Jewish Campaign or to
Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville.

Emma Berman, 94, died this morning at Four Courts Senior
Center.She was the former Emma Fink, a member of Keneseth Israel
Congregation, a member of The Temple, a former member of Hadassah,
a member of the National Council of Jewish Women-Louisville Section,
and The Temple Sisterhood.Survivors include:a daughter, Carolyn B.
Grossman; a son, Jerome D. Berman; a sister, Rosetta Handmaker; five
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Keneseth Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust Lane.
Memorial gifts can be made to Four Courts Senior Center or Keneseth
