Margaret Fern Stone
Former Juneau resident Margaret Fern Stone died Aug. 18, 2007, in Anchorage. She was 66.
"I love my mom for eternity," said her daughter, Mryan.
"I love my grandma forever," said grand- son Joshua Kane.
The family thanks everyone for their support.
She is survived by Ronald Kay Stone, of Juneau; daughter, Mryan Stone-Shepherd, of Juneau; grandson, Joshua Kane Preston, of Juneau; and daughter-in-law, Mayda Jazmine Preston.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Glacier Valley Baptist Church.

Liv Cheryl Gray
Lifelong Hoonah resident Liv Cheryl Gray died Aug. 21, 2007. She was 58.
She was born Dec. 6, 1948, in Juneau, to proud parents Bernice and Paul Dybdahl Sr. She was the fourth of six children from Gaax'ayi (Duck Point). Her Tlingit name was Yís tu du. She was of the Yeil (Raven) moiety, Taakwaneidí Clan, Taan (Sea Lion) Hít of Hecata Island. She also was Norwegian yadi, Shangukeidi dachxán.
According to her family, she would dive headfirst into a rich part of her life when she made a grand escape from the village and eloped with her lifelong love, Dennis H. Gray Sr., who she married on Aug. 30, 1964, at the Sierra Bells Chapel in Reno, Nev. They shared nearly 43 years of love and commitment, her family said. She proudly mothered five children with her husband, her family said.
She was proud of her heritage as a Tlingit and worked diligently for her people, her family said. She was a respected leader and held many elected and voluntary positions within Alaska's Native community. She served on the Hoonah Health Council for six years as both president and vice president; the SEARHC board of directors for 16 years, including one year as vice president; the JOM/Native Education Committee for six years; the Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp 12, as both vice president and president; and was a life member of the Tlingit and Haida Executive Council for 14 years, recently serving as the executive council emeritus, the Hoonah City Council for 10 years; Title IV Indian Education Committee for one year; the mayor of Hoonah for three years; the Hoonah Tlingit and Haida Community Council for 18 years and the THREA Board of Directors for seven years, as both member and chairwoman.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Edward James and Katherine Rowan; paternal grandparents, Anders and Johanna Dybdahl; and parents, Bernice Rowan Easterly and Paul Dybdahl Sr.
She is survived by her husband; children, Denise Pauline Gray, Sonya Marie Smith and her husband, John, Dennis H. Gray Jr. and his wife, Renee, Andrew Paul Gray and his wife, Tesh, and Howard Leif Gray; brothers, Paul Dybdahl Sr. and his wife, Sally, Johan Arnt Dybdahl and his wife, Ethel, and James Leif Dybdahl and his wife, Ladonna; sisters, Dorothy Marie Johanson and her husband, Doug, and Johanna Kathleen Dybdahl and her husband, John; auntie, Regina Skan; uncles, James Rowan and Jonathan Oliver Rowan; 10 grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, with whom she treasured.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the Alaska Native Brotherhood Memorial Hall in Hoonah, and at 6 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Hall in Juneau.
Rachel Jade Grimes
Juneau baby Rachel Jade Grimes died in the early morning of Aug. 12, 2007, at Bartlett Regional Hospital.
She was born Aug. 11, in Juneau. Family members said she lived her life, however brief, to the fullest. She is, and will always be, loved and with us, they said.
She is survived by her parents, Dustin and Bobi Jo Grimes; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Teresa Fisher, of Troy, Mont.; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Heidi Grimes, of Juneau; uncles and aunts, Donovan, Rebekah and Derrick Grimes, and Phillip and Chera Cole; and cousins, Reuben and Ava Grimes, Ashley Neely and Derek Cole.

Heather Lee Eversmeyer Haynes
Juneau resident Heather Lee Eversmeyer Haynes died July 14, 2007, in Wenatchee, Wash., after a nine-month battle with cancer. She was 47.
She was born March 14, 1960, in Bryan, Texas. She moved to Juneau with her family in 1967. In 1971, she and her family moved to the Seldovia area, where she graduated from Seldovia High School in 1978.
She married in 1983 and graduated in 1985 from Murray State University with maximum honors. She returned to Juneau where she worked in the State of Alaska Health Department before she worked in the family owned business of C&C Custodial Inc.
She divorced in 2002. The same year, she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Alaska Southeast and then her certificate for special education. She taught at the Juneau Christian School and Auke Bay Elementary School.
She is survived by her son, Jesse Eversmeyer, and daughter, Kayce Eversmeyer, both of Juneau; parents, Evan and Marjorie Haynes, of Haines; two sisters, Christine Turner, of Haines, and Karen Day, of Williamsburg, Ky.; and two brothers, Philip Haynes, of Monument, Colo., and Nathan Haynes, of Salt Lake City.

Her ashes will be interred in Haines.
Christine Felipe
Juneau resident Christine Marie Felipe died peacefully Aug. 21, 2007, in her sleep at home. She was 41.
She was born Feb. 18, 1966, at the old St. Ann's Hospital. She attended various schools: Harborview Elementary School, Marie Drake Middle School, Juneau-Douglas High School and Mount Edgecumbe High School. Then she went on go to San Diego City College. She worked for Bureau of Indian Affairs, Fish and Game and the Forest Service.
She loved to go hiking, camping and fishing. She just loved to travel and hang out with family and friends, said her family. She was a fun-loving person who touched the hearts of everyone who met her, they said. She will be greatly missed by her family and her longtime boyfriend, Ole, and her baby cat, Marcie.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peter E. and Sophie Johnson; aunt, Matilda and Herbert Mercer; uncles, Ronald James and his wife, Violet, Raymond Johnson, and Richard Willard Sr.; sisters, Jackie and Cheryl Felipe; and cousins, Michael Richardson and Gilbert Johnson.
She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Felipe and her husband, Phillip; father, Knute Felipe and his wife, Joan; boyfriend of eight years, Keith "Ole" Olsen; sisters, Janette Williams and her husband, Jeff, and their daughter, Alexis, Melissa Catenada and her husband, Jose, and their children, Calaudio, George, Cecelia, Ana Alicia and Alnadalia; brothers, Knute Felipe Jr., and his son, Knute Felipe III, and Brian Felipe and his daughter, Mariana; aunts and uncles, Chris Curd, of Texas, Nenita Untalasco, of Juneau, John Mazon Sr., Dix Mazon, Sam Mazon, Enrique Untalasco Benardo Untalasco Ezechiel Untalasco, all of Juneau, Fred Mazon, of California, Evelyn and "Buster" Richardson, Thelma and Gerald Charles, of Anchorage, Angie and Patrick Johnson, Mary Olson, of Idaho, Marie Reyes, of Washington, Clifford and Debbie Jo Johnson, and Franklin and Anita Johnson; nephew, Jose L.
