She worked as a nurse and as a volunteer for Hospice. She also worked as a registered nurse for Hanceville Nursing Home until retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Fleming Patterson and James Beverly Neal; her husband, William A. Cheuvront; a daughter, Evelyn Elizabeth Cheuvront; a sister, Lucy Neal Turner; two brothers, James B. Neal Jr. and Charles L. Neal Sr.; and grandson, Jason Cheuvront. Survivors include two sons, James Kirby (Betty) Cheuvront of Cullman and Allan Neal (Karen) Cheuvront of Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Juanita Ann (Chuck) Chatham of Cullman and Laura Ellen (John) Bennett of Huntsville; two brothers, John P. She worked for Moulton Implement Company for 18 years and then retired from the Department of Human Resources after 18 years. She was a member of Moulton Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bill Fuller. She is survived by a son, Charles A. Fuller of Huntsville. She was a school teacher and was a graduate of Cullman High School and Sacred Heart Academy of Alabama. She also worked as a counselor for girls in St. Vincent Hospital Nurses Training in Alabama. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was active in the missionary society and choir, a member of the Council on Aging, the Reames Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Senior Bridge Club, and was secretary for AARP for two terms and served on the board of directors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Christian; and her son, Richard Christian. Survivors include her daughter, Evelyn Rhodes of Medford, Ore.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. He was a funeral director for Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman, was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in World War II and Korea, was president for National Quartet Association-Alabama Chapter, taught CPR with the American Red Cross for four years, Woodmen of the World Fraternalist in 1996, captain of Johnson’s Crossing Volunteer Fire Dept. for two years, president of Woodman Lodge No. 1894, member and trustee of Houston Congregational Christian Church in Houston, and lead singer of the Harmoneers Quartet for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Inez Moormann and Bernice Moore. He is survived by his wife, Winnie Lou Rowe Atkins of Hanceville; five daughters, Marilyn (Jack) Whatley of Northport, Jane (Jerry) Campbell of Danville, Beverly (Roger) Wright of Hanceville, Carol Atkins and Joyce Atkins, both of Cartersville, Ga.; two brothers, W.E. “Gene” Atkins and Hardie Atkins, both of Cartersville, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
