Mr. Gamble died Monday, Oct. 1 at Hanceville Nursing Home. He was born June 11, 1918 in Blount County to O.K. and Ivela Parson Gamble. He was in construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ruby Moody Gamble.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Sue Dean of Hanceville and Ann Evans of Hoover; four sons, Charles Kayro Gamble and Raymond Allen Gamble, both of Hanceville, Gene Gamble of Cullman; and James A. Gamble of Birmingham; two daughters, Molly Grace Sloan of Corner and Joyce Lynn South of Gulf Shores; two sisters, Beatrice Cartron of Cullman and Susie Williams of Georgia; two brothers, Joe B. Gamble of Enterprise and Roy J. Gamble of Cullman; and his wife, Nancy Bastian Gamble.

Mrs. Russell died Thursday, Oct. 4 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 6, 1910 to Grover Cleveland and Rosa Alverson Maxcy. She was the co-owner of The Place, a ladies clothing retailer in Cullman and a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Cullman. Before going into business in 1965 with The Place co-owners Kathryn Fricke and Polly Vinson, Mrs. Russell worked for the dress shops Four Seasons and Princess Art Shop.They retired in 1985. She was a graduate of Florence State Teachers College and taught at schools in the Bounds Crossroads in Itawamba County, Miss., Vinemont and Cullman County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Curtis Noel Russell.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Russell, Bob Russell both of Hartselle; one brother, Lewis Maxcy of Mississippi, seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dyer died Monday, Oct. 8 at Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham. He was born July 1, 1930.

Memorial services for Barbara Jean Sims, 46, of Hanceville will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001 at Dodge City Town Hall.

She was preceded in death by her father, Malcolm Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burnie Powell; two sons, Joe Powell and Billy Powell; and her two brothers, Alfred Allen and John Allen.
Survivors include three sons, Rufus Powell of Vinemont, Charles Powell of Washington and Harold Powell of Indiana; two daughters, Clara Harrell of Cullman and Margaret Runge of Vinemont.; a brother, George Willard Allen of Mississippi; a sister, Annie Mae Gooch of Cullman; 25 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Chapman died Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 5, 1934 to Benjamin Allen and Bernice Couch Chapman. He was retired from Cullman Electric Cooperative.

Mrs. Keeton died Thursday, Oct. 11 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born in Cullman on Feb. 18, 1934 to C.C. “Lum” and Estora Hawkins Mosteller. She was the founder and owner of Cullman Overhead Door and Glass Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father- and mother-in-law, Palm and Liley Keeton; sister, Ruby Smith; and four brothers, Bruce, Clyde, Bert and Duwayne Mosteller.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Keeton of Cullman; son, Charles Louis “Chuck” Keeton of Cullman; two daughters, Sheila (Kenneth) Burks, Sherrie (Danny “Boone”) Hunter, both of Cullman; brother, Billy Mosteller of Eva; sister, Elsie Collier of Tallahassee, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
