Mr. Freeman died Thursday, Oct. 11 at his residence. He was born in Cullman County on April 28, 1923 to Lee and Zubie McCoy Freeman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cullman the Cullman Lions Club and and Masons. He served in the United States Army Air Corp as a bomber crew member during World War II, spent nine months overseas in the European theatre of operations where he participated in 30 missions and 375 combat hours. He was awarded the ETO ribbons with four stars, Distinguished Flying Cross and an Air Medal with three clusters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Diana Marie Freeman.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Kimbrell Freeman of Cullman; sons, Charles L. (Marilyn) Freeman of Auburn; brother, Gene (Edna) Freeman of Jasper; sister, Bobbie (Lester) Alexander of Daphne; two grandchildren, Lee (Heather) Freeman of Nashville, Tenn., Brian (Chelsea) Freeman of Atlanta; and six great-grandchildren, Charlie Freeman, Jacob Freeman, Ben Freeman, Sarah Freeman, Daniel Freeman, Zachary Freeman.

Mr. Chapman died Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 5, 1934 to Benjamin Allen and Bernice Couch Chapman. He was retired from Cullman Electric Cooperative.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sheila Chapman; and his brother, Paul Chapman.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wisener Chapman; a son, Ronald Allen Chapman; a daughter, Lisa Chapman Trammell; a brother, J.W. Chapman; a sister, Margaret Lavern Pettus; and six grandchildren, Richard and Erica Dill, Ryan and Koty Trammell and Chad and Benjamin Chapman.

Pennington High School.

He was a minister and a farmer and pastored churches in Winston and Cullman Counties. His churches include Sardis Baptist Church, Unity Baptist, Brickyard Baptist and Edgewood Baptist. He was a member of the West Hartselle Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Agnes Rozell Allgood Cole.

Services for Edith Oden Aday, 87, of Eva will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Chuck Hanvey officiating, with burial in the Oden Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Aday died Thursday, Oct. 18 at her residence. She was born Aug. 12, 1914 in Morgan County to Charles Andrew and Emma Entrekin Oden. She was a homemaker and member of Ridge Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett W. Aday; three brothers, Ira N. Oden, Huey Oden and Roy Oden; and two sisters, Bertha Flack and Ona Oden.
She is survived by a daughter, Brynda Aday Tylo of Eva.
Pallbearers will be Len Gibbs, Dwight McNutt, Harold Morgan, Ray Pace, Kenneth Puckett and Richard Whipple.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mary Athalene Wynn White
Services for Mary Athalene Wynn White, 61, of Okeechobee, Fla. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001 at Neighborhood Baptist Church, the Rev. Lewis Briscoe officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. White died Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Palm West Hospital in Palm Beach, Fla. She was born in Cullman County on Feb. 28, 1940 to William “Bud” and Bernice Whittle Wynn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Neighborhood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Ray White of Cullman and Perry Dewayne White of Okeechobee, Fla.; two daughters, Kathy Ann Loschiavo and Connie White, both of Okeechobee, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the church.
David C. Maddox Sr.
Services for David C. Maddox Sr., 92, of Decatur will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2001 at Corinth Methodist Church, Joe Wayne Maddox officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the service.

Mr. Maddox died Friday, Oct. 19 in Nashville, Tenn. He was born ind Dekalb County on Oct. 3, 1909 to Ernest and Lou Maddox. He was the former owner of New York Hatters and Dry Cleaners and owned the Nutrition Center in Decatur. He was a member of Austinville Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Florine Maddox.
Survivors include his son, Charlie Maddox of Nashville; daughter, Peggy Lewis of Ross, Calif.; grandson, David Lewis; granddaughter, Heather Lewis-Davis; and one step-granddaughter, Audra Green.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ina V. ‘Ginnie’ McAnnally Turner
Services for Ina V. “Ginnie” McAnnally Turner, 76, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2001 at Garden City First Baptist Church, the Rev. Keith Gambill officiating, with burial in Garden City Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner died Friday, Oct. 19 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in LeBlanc, La., on July 29, 1925 to John Jacob and Maudie Long Cole. She was a retired custodian from the Cullman County Health Department. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Garden City where she was a former Sunday school teacher, WMU leader and Vacation Bible School teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husbands, Robert C. McAnnally and Maxie Turner.
Survivors include her son, John (Marilyn) McAnnally of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; two daughters, Ann (Lynn) Harris of Cullman and Martha (Charles) Gamble of Hanceville; two sisters, Velma (Vern) Ladd of Mountain Home, Texas and Betty (Bob) Wheeler of Kerrville, Texas; stepdaughter, Debra Turner of Cullman; four grandchildren, Nikki (Shane) Whitehead of Muscle Shoals, Stacy (Johnny) Watwood of Vinemont, Emily Gamble of Hanceville, and John-Ryan McAnnally of Signa Mountain, Tenn.; and two great-granddaughters, Jessica and Sydney Whitehead of Muscle Shoals.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Building Fund of Garden City Baptist, P.O. Box 173, Garden City, Ala., 35070.

Mr. Weaver died Saturday, Oct. 20 at his residence. He was born in Cullman County on July 22, 1920 to John and Daisy Benefiled Weaver. He was a member of Bibleway Pentecostal Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Estelle League Weaver; and son, Leon Weaver.
Survivors include four sons, Marvin (Sue) Weaver, Danny (Carol) Weaver, Wendell (Joann) Weaver, Billy (Debbie) Weaver all of Cullman; five daughters, Eva Mae (Alton) Stone of Decatur, Edith (Bobby) Ballinger of Speake, Ester (Bob) Baker, Linda (Roger) Seals both of Cullman, Judy (Homer) Bennett of Jacksonville; brother, Alford Weaver of Cullman; two sisters, Nellie Sue Sartin, Frances Gober both of Cullman; 32 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Perry died Friday, Oct. 19 at Bessemer Carraway Medical Center. She was a substitute teacher and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy (Buddy) Nash of West Blocton, Libby (James) Meacham of Cullman; five grandchildren, Tami Lewis, Chip Nash, Jamie Bennefield, Kathy Calvert and Krysta Meacham; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Graham, Wayne Canterbury, Lynn Canterbury, Bob Stone, Billy Paul Stone and Marty Nichols. Nephews and great-nephews will be honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Doss died Friday, Oct. 19 at the Carnegie Tri-County Hospital. She was born in Shamrock, Texas on Sept. 23, 1918 to Herbert and Louise Nidiffer Copeland. She was a member of Alfalfa Baptist Church and the Rebehka Lodge. She and her husband, Henry Basil Doss, ran Doss Hardware and Lumber and a radio and TV sales repair business.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Herbert Copeland Jr. and Bob Copeland.
Survivors include her son, Glenn (Marianne) Doss of Cordell, Okla.; daughter, Shelia Jo (Rolland) French of Eva; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Drummond died Saturday, Oct. 20 at his residence. He was a coal miner and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rickey Joe Drummonds.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Drummonds of Bremen; daughter, Darlene Lawson of Bremen; three sons, Thomas C. Drummonds, David N. Drummonds, Kenneth L. Drummonds; one sister, Ruby Brown of Cullman; and 12 grandchildren.
