She was born March 10, 1916 to George and Meada Meelar Cooke. She was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Buckelew and Billy Buckelew; two daughters, Brenda Patterson and Elsielen Livingston; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation was Friday.

Mr. McMurry died Friday, June 29 at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born in Walker County on Dec. 15, 1925 to J.D. and Minda Ann Glenn McMurry. He was retired from Goodyear Rubber and Tire Plant and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Eva. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and received the Military Cross of Honor. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 15, Disabled American Veterans Post No. 11, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4190, Decatur Shrine Club, Cahaba Temple Shrine of Huntsville, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry 32nd Degree of Huntsville, Nunn-Oden Lodge No. 398 and Elks Fraternal Organization of Decatur. Survivors include his wife, Flossie McMurry of Hartselle; three sons, Bobby Lee McMurry of Vinemont, Larry Don McMurry, John David McMurry both of Hartselle; one daughter, Linda Kay McMurry Eddy of Hartselle; two brothers, Ben McMurry of Hanceville, R.J.
