Our dear father has gone from our home,
We do miss him so much.
Oh,dear father, thou art gone, left us to weep and mourn,
Left us for a better home.
Where no sickness ever comes.
How we miss you father dear,
Yet we trust that thou art near.
My body's racked with pain, I could hear him say,
But I can feel his tender hands, He lift's me up again.
Now it seems sad with us,
In this dark old world below,
And when the Savior calls for us,
We'll all be ready to go.
How sad and lonely are the day's since our Uncle passed away,
Let us get ready to meet him,
On that great judgment day.
It was God's will for you to go,
And leave us here on earth below,
To grieve, weep and mourn. Until resurrection morn.
