Services for Clytus Jefferson Angel, 80, were at 11 a.m. Monday at Angel Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Eugene Burgess and James Cohorn officiating. Burial was in Seven Springs Cemetery with K. L. Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Center in charge.
Mr. Angel died Saturday at The Meadows.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Brenda Angel and Jeff and Debbie Angel of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Danny Craven of Jacksonville; three sisters, Pauline Johnson, Mary Hyde and Betty Noah, all of Jacksonville; two brothers, Eugene Angel and Roscoe Angel, both of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren, Brad Angel, Amy Angel Boothe, Will Angel, Andy Craven, Rachel Angel, Todd Craven and Chase Craven; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brad Angel, Slade Boothe, Will Angle, Andy Craven, Todd Craven and Eddie Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the adult men’s Sunday school class and deacons of Angel Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Angel was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He owned and operated a cotton gin and built homes for more than 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Sue Johnson Angel.

Gloria Ann Ackley

Graveside services for Gloria Ann Ackley, 58, were at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Jacksonville City Cemetery, with Clyde Ray officiating.
Mrs. Ackley died at her home Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Ackley of Jacksonville; three daughters; Beth Maddox, Dana Pauline Meeker and Sharon Vasser, all of Jacksonville; two sons, Brian Frost of Weaver and Dustin Ackley of Jacksonville; her mother, Leomey Jackson of Piedmont; three brothers, Wendall Jackson of Jacksonville, Charles Jackson of Atlanta and Randall Jackson of Piedmont; six grandchildren, Brandon Frost, Kevin Frost, Seth Breed, Max Meeker, Alex Meeker and Colton Vasser; two nieces and five nephews.
Pallbearers were Ray Pruitt, Dale Pruitt, Tommy Pruitt, Jason Farmer, Keith Maddox, Scottie Christopher, Dean Key, Scott Ford, Tony Key, Joey Spears, Lynn Floyd, and Billy Snyder.
Mrs. Ackley was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, a native of Calhoun County, and member of Bonny Brook Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Leonard Jackson and a son, Kevin Frost.
Mildred L. Williamon

Services for Mildred L. Williamon, 81, will be today at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Walker Dean and Jim Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Bynum with Miller Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Williamon died Sunday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters, Henri Gunnells of Jacksonville, Peggy Williamon Denfip of Weaver and Mary Lee Williamon of Texas; two sons, Ronnie Armstrong of South Carolina and David Williamon of Weaver; a brother, J. W. Hydrick of Jacksonville; a great-aunt, Annie Mae O’Neal; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Gunnells, Frankie Odell, Chase Gunnells, Dan Smith, James George and Chris Bentley.
Mrs. Williamon was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County, a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bynum, and a retired hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gordon Williamon.
Jerry Wayne Garmon

Memorial services for Jerry Wayne Garmon, 51, a Jacksonville native and resident of Fayetteville, N. C., were Thursday in Fayetteville, with Rev. Bruce Creech officiating.
Mr. Garmon died Jan. 13 at Duke Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy B. Garmon of Fayetteville; a daughter, Ginger Ann Garmon of Fayetteville; his parents, Eugene and Mildred Garmon of Burgaw, N. C., and a sister, Penny Raynor of Burgaw.
Alene Elizabeth Howell Lett

Services for Alene Elizabeth Howell Lett, 95, were at 11 a.m. Friday at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center chapel with Rev. Truman Norred officiating. Burial was in Green lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lett died Jan. 6 at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, June and John Lewis Richardson of Jacksonville and Barbara Chandler of Ohatchee; a son, Howell Lett of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, Sharon E. Richardson of Paw Paw, W. Va., John Louis Richardson of Alexandria, Va., Dr. David P. Richardson and his wife, Kristen A. Richardson of Marietta, Ga., Pam Rooney Lucas and her husband, Master Sgt. Jeff Lucas of Biloxi, Miss., Nancy Lett Shaw and her husband David Shaw of Jacksonville and Denise Rooney of Dallas; and three great-grandchildren, Macon Richardson and Jacob Richardson of Marietta and Justin Shaw of Jacksonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were John Louis Richardson, Dr. David P. Richardson, Master Sgt. Jeff Lucas, James Brock, Billy Brock and Bill Roberts.
Mrs. Lett was a native of Piedmont and a member of West Side Baptist Church. She worked for RSVP for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dwelling “J. D.” Lett; her parents, Bessie Woodall Howell and Wilson A. Howell Sr.; a sister, Bernice Brock; and a brother Wilson A. Howell Jr.

Wilma Fay Jenkins

Services for Wilma Fay Jenkins, 74, were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel, with Rev. Truman Norred officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins died Saturday at Jacksonville Medical Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy A. Jenkins of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gerald and Deborah Jenkins of Gulf Shores and Kenneth Jenkins of Jacksonville; and a grandson, Christopher Matthew Jenkins of Gulf Shores.
Pallbearers were Donald Whitley, Max King, Justin King, Billy Green, Tim Jenkins and Jackie Jenkins.
Mrs. Jenkins was a resident of Calhoun County most of her life and was a member of West Side Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis R. Jenkins.
Gladys Jewel Burke

Services for Gladys Jewel Burke, 87, will be at 11 a.m. today at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center chapel with the Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in Grove Oak in DeKalb County.
Mrs. Burke died Monday at Jacksonville Heath and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Alvin Harrell of Jacksonville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Sherry Burke of Warner Robins, Ga., J. T. and Leona Burke of Weaver, LeRoy and Melba Burke of Anniston and Ronald and Tena Burke of Alexandria; two sisters, Myrtle Sterling and Bessie Bailey, both of Fort Payne; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Danny Burke, Randy Burke, Jimmy Burke, Russell Burke, Wesley Burke and Nathan Burke.
Mrs. Burke enjoyed crocheting afghans. A native of DeKalb County, Mrs. Burke was a member of West Point Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Burke; two daughters, Judy Burke and Debra Burke; and a grandchild, Geoffrey Harrell.
