TUCKER, Ga.
Services for Evelyn C. King, 87, of Tucker, formerly of Weaver, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Forestlawn Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Bill Snow officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory.
Mrs. King died Monday at Decatur Hospital in Decatur.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela King of Alexandria; a son, Douglas F. King of Tucker; two brothers, Thomas M. Crain of Pensacola, Fla., and William D. Crain of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Jessica Cummings, Patrick Pettis and Richard Wilson; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. King was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and had been a registered nurse at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzah O. King; a grandchild, Vanessa Cooper; and a great-grandchild, Reina Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church or a favorite charity.

Services for Ola Perry, 94, of Roanoke will be announced by Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee.
Miss Perry died Tuesday at Wedowee Hospital.
Willman

JACKSONVILLE
Services for Dorothy Elizabeth Willman, 75, of Jacksonville will be Friday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the church parlor. K.L. Brown Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Willman died Tuesday at Jacksonville Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dorothy Willman Scholarship Fund, c/o Jacksonville State University Foundation Inc., 700 Pelham Road N., Jacksonville, AL 36265.
JOHN D. 'J.D.' HULSEY

Services for John D. “J. D.” Hulsey, 83, will be today at 1 p.m. at Tredegar Congregational Holiness Church, with Revs. David Daniels and Leslie Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville City Cemetery with K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.
Mr. Hulsey died Sunday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn F. Hulsey of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Don Campbell of Anniston; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Tommy and Jerri Hulsey and Homer Hulsey, all of Jacksonville, Steve and Marcia Hulsey of Fort Meade, Fla., and Benny and Sheila Hulsey of Anniston; a sister, Ruth Parris of Jacksonville; a caregiver, Debbie Baker of Jacksonville; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six nieces and nine nephews.
Pallbearers were Tony Hulsey, Jeremy Hulsey, Craig Hulsey, Terry Hulsey, Dewight Hulsey, Dwayne Hulsey, Nick Hulsey and Jackie Wilkins. Honorary pallbearers will be musicians of Tredegar Chapel Congregational Holiness Church.
Mr. Hulsey was a native of Rockmart, Ga., and had lived in Calhoun County most of his life. He was an Army World War II veteran and was retired from Anniston Army Depot after 38 years of service. He was a member of Tredegar Chapel Congregational Holiness Church.
BEAN

Services for Billy Bean, 69, of Jacksonville and Delta were Friday at 2 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Christian Church with Revs. Gordon Taylor and Zenus Windsor officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge.
Mr. Bean died Oct. 23 at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Akemi Crowe of Jacksonville; three daughters, Vicki Goodson of Anniston, Sheena Bell of Heflin and Kim Latimer of Elizabethtown, Ky.; four sons, Terry Bean, Mike Bean and Keith Bean, all of Delta and Kenneth J. Crowe of Jacksonville; three sisters, Audrey Jones of Suwanee, Ga., Joan Cox of Thomasville, Ga., and Ann Hughes of Highlands, Calif.; three brothers, Braxton Bean of Childersburg, Shearl Bean of Huntsville and Don Shephard of Ashland; 15 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bean was a native of Randolph County and had lived most of his life in Clay and Calhoun counties. He was an Army veteran and had received a Purple Heart during the Korea War.
He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War and was a Christian.

Graveside services for Frances Inez Murray Henry, 64, were at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Chuck Cummings officiating. Burial was at New Oak Cemetery, with K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.
Mrs. Henry died Friday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Murray of Jacksonville; two daughters and one son-in-law, Beverly and Curtis Clay of Jacksonville and Diana Henry of Paw Paw, W. Va.; one son, Chuck Henry of Philadelphia; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gordon Murray of Pensacola, Fla., and Carl and Shirley Murray of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Jeremiah Henry, Brian Clay, Jennifer Henry and one great-grandchild, Madison Clay.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Sparks, Cody Homesley, Bobby Homesley, David Drawdy, Donald Williams and D. J. Williams.
Mrs. Henry was a Calhoun County native and lived in the county most of her life. She was a member of Profile Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry; one grandson, Gene Clay; two sisters, Shirley Williams and Margaret O’Dell, and two brothers, Dan Murray and Milton Murray.
Kenneth Samuel Clifford

Services for Kenneth Samuel Clifford, 88, of Blue Mountain were Friday at 11 a.m. at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory, with Dr. Deryl Wood officiating. Burial was in Post Oak Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Clifford died Sept. 26 at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Ezma Mildred Williams Clifford of Anniston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Joel Nance of Jacksonville and Mary Jane and Steve Starley of Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Joel Starley, Brent Nance and Kim May; seven great-grandchildren and 29 nieces and 18 nephews by marriage.
Pallbearers were Joel Nance, David May, Joel Starley, Brent Nance and Steve Starley.
Mr. Clifford was a diesel instructor in Europe, South America, Africa and Egypt for Standard Oil. After returning to the United States, he obtained a post-secondary teaching degree and taught diesel mechanics at Hobson State Vocational College and Ayers State Technical College. He later obtained an accounting degree from Gadsden State and opened a small business, Calhoun Income Tax Service, for a short time.
He was a volunteer with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program for several years, a member of Pilgrims Rest Church of Cleburne County and a World War II veteran. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, and as a young man was a Minor League baseball player in St. Louis. He also enjoyed boxing and was a fly weight amateur boxer while in the U. S. Navy. He and his wife were married in 1936. He enjoyed listening to music, especially gospel.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Leah Starley.
