Johnson
Services for Howard H. Johnson Jr., 76, of 1405 Forest Lane, Anniston, will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Anniston with Revs. Billy Redding and Woodfin Grove officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn-West Cemetery in Charlotte, N.C. The body will be at the church an hour before services. Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Johnson died Thursday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Kirkman Johnson of Anniston; two daughters, Cynthia Johnson Snyder of Huntersville, N.C., and Robin Johnson Cheyne of Bremen, Ga.; a son, Howard Vincent Johnson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Laura Johnson, Mark Johnson, Andrew Johnson and Donald Cheyne.
Pallbearers will be Scott Frame, Hal O'Kelly, Jack Guyton, Steve Traylor, Jim Williams, Fred Ray Lybrand and Gibson Coleman.
Mr. Johnson, a native of North Carolina, was a resident of Anniston for 35 years. He was a veteran of World War II, and a U.S. Air Force pilot of the B-52 bomber. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Anniston.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and the Boy Scouts of America.
Overstreet
COLLINSVILLE
Services for Erbie Maebelle Brooks Overstreet, 90, of Route 2, will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Centre with Rev. David Huskins officiating. Burial will be in Longshore Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Overstreet died Thursday at her home.
Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Boyea and Alp Garrett, both of Pensacola, Fla., and Polly Caminiti of Collinsville; two sons, Herman Overstreet of Centre and Ronnie Overstreet of Collinsville; two brothers, Laron Brooks of Bruton and Lowell Brooks of Pensacola; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mrs. Overstreet, a native of Repton, was a housewife. She was a member of the Pentacostal Church.
Roberts
BLUE MOUNTAIN
Services for Johnnie W. Roberts, 77, of 3321 Stephens St., will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Willingham officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Roberts died Thursday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, I.V. Roberts of Blue Mountain; three sons, Johnny W. Roberts Jr. of Dallas, Roy Gene Roberts of Wedowee and Duvey Lee Roberts of Weaver; two sisters, Louise Murray and Maggie High, both of Dallas; a brother, Emery Lee Roberts of Waxahachie, Texas; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Willingham, Cecil Willingham, Harold Willingham, David Willingham, Bryant Willingham, Donald Willingham, Cary Gene Roberts and Rusty Roberts.
Mr. Roberts, a native of Calhoun County, was a resident of Blue Mountain. He was retired from Adelaide Mills.
Robinson
Services for Elizabeth M. Robinson, 86, of 224 Rockwood Drive, Anniston, will be announced by Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory.
Mrs. Robinson died Friday at Regional Medical Center.
Smith
Services for Julio Cesar Smith, 21, of 2320 Coleman Road, Apt. #305-B, Anniston, will be today at 6 p.m. at Anniston Funeral Chapel with Rev. John S. Nettles officiating.
Mr. Smith died Thursday in Anniston.
Survivors include his father, Clarence L. Smith of Anniston; his mother, Maria Smith of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a son, Kelley Smith of Hobson City; a brother, Reinaldo Wilson of Atlanta; and a sister, Darma Wilson of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mr. Smith, a native of New York, lived in Anniston for 5 years. He was a 1995 graduate of Anniston High School.
Yarbrough
JACKSONVILLE
Graveside services for Ethel Yarbrough, 92, of 410 Wilson Drive SW, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Terry Johnson officiating in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Piedmont. The family will receive friends Sunday from noon-1 p.m. K.L. Brown Funeral Home & Crematory is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Yarbrough died Wednesday at Wessex House of Jacksonville.
Survivors include two stepsons, Max Yarbrough of Eastaboga and Clyde Yarbrough of Huntsville; several nieces and nephews; and primary caregivers, E.L. and Gwen Westbrook.
Mrs. Yarbrough, a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, was a member of Ruhama Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.G. Yarbrough and stepson, Tommy Yarbrough.
