Graveside services for Kirby Harris Locklear, 92, of Albertville were Sunday at 11 a.m. at Memory Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Henry Golson officiating. Albertville Funeral Home was in charge.
Mr. Locklear died Nov. 8 at an Albertville nursing home.
Survivors include a brother, Hoyt R. Harris of Jacksonville and six nieces.
Mrs. Locklear was the oldest member of First United Methodist Church in Albertville. She was retired from Hewett’s Drug Store, where she worked for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. R. Locklear.
Patricia Aline Price Hill

Services for Patricia Aline Price Hill, 60, of 1054 White’s Gap Rd., S. E., were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Profile Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chuck Cummings officiating. Burial was in Anniston Memorial Gardens with K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.
Mrs. Hill died Thursday at her home.
She is survived by her husband, John Grady Hill of Jacksonville; two daughters, Debbie Gudvangen of Riverside, Calif., and Marsha Fitzgerald of Concord, N. C.; two sisters, Carlene Hayes of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Marlene Freeman of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Nicole Gudvangen, Tayler Fitzgerald, Chad Gudvangen, Michael Gudvangen Jr., and Alisha Gudvangen; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Allen Payne, Robert Payne, Brian Payne, Dewey Sams, Jerry Wayne Parris, Richard Payne, Fred Hill and David Romines.
Mrs. Hill was an Alabama native She moved in 1969 to California and lived there 21 years before returning to Alabama, where she lived until her death. She was a member of Profile Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting and was employed by Head Start in Jacksonville.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Alabama.
Frances Striplin Mallicoat

Graveside services for Frances Striplin Mallicoat, 74, of 504 Third Ave., N. E., were Saturday at 11 a.m. at Green lawn Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Will Garrett officiating and K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.
Mrs. Mallicoat died Thursday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Mallicoat of Jacksonville and Don Mallicoat of Asheville, N. C.; a sister, Sue Bryan of Saks; and four grandchildren, Bob Mallicoat, Kimberly Mallicoat, Justin Mallicoat and Keri Mallicoat.
Pallbearers were Bob Bishop, Sonny Bishop, Jimmy Hay, Jack Lacock, Gene Rhodes, Ray Hammett and Johnny Hammett.
Mrs. Mallicoat retired from teaching after 30 years of service. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville. She was a volunteer at Jacksonville Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mallicoat.

Donald A. Wilson

Graveside services for Donald A. Wilson, 82, of Leeds were Saturday at 1 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel directed.
Mr. Wilson died Thursday.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Trevarthen Wilson; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert D. and Tommie Wilson of Leeds and Terence “Terry” E. and Becky Wilson of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Robert Alan Wilson and Julie Wilson of Leeds, Matthew T. Wilson and Rebekah Wilson of Jacksonville and Pam Glass of Birmingham and a great-granddaughter, Heather Glass of Birmingham.
Mr. Wilson was born and reared in Birmingham. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leeds, a furniture manufacturer representative for 45 years, a Mason, Scottish and York Rites member and a Zamora Temple Shriner.
Tim Carter

Services for Tim Carter, 45, of 307 Vann St., S. W., will be today at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Holiness Church with the Revs. Norman Smith and Michael Carter officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville City Cemetery with K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.
Mr. Carter died Sunday at Jacksonville Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Wilkerson Carter of Jacksonville; a son, Michael Carter of Jacksonville; a daughter, Jessica Carter of Jacksonville; a granddaughter, Abigail Carter of Jacksonville; his mother, Margie Ledbetter Whitman of Oxford; his father, Grover Wayne Carter of Jacksonville; a sister, Judy Lancaster of Oxford; Pallbearers will be Dirgan Bragg, Darryl Reaves, Travis Spence, Cecil Johnson, Wayne McCurry and Benjie White.
Mr. Carter was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a Civil War buff and was self-employed.
Birdie D. Parker

Graveside services for Birdie D. Parker, 90, of Talladega will be today at 2 p.m. at Lincoln City Cemetery, with the Rev. Jackie Mims officiating and Talladega Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Parker died Sunday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Varnes and Earl Varnes, both of Lincoln; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Parker and Bernice Parker, both of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Tony Parker of Pell City, Vicki T. Adams of Jacksonville, Eddie Thompson of Piedmont, Mike Varnes of Lincoln and Jackie Varnes of Pell City; six great-grandchildren, Stacey A. Pounds, Jeremy Adams, Mandy Parker, Brent Varnes, Brian Smith and Brandon Smith; three great-great-grandchildren, Taylor Adams, Trey Adams and Jackson Pounds; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tony Parker, Mike Varnes, Jackie Varnes, Grady Adams, Jeremy Adams and Frank Harper.
Mrs. Parker was a lifelong resident of Talladega County and was a member of Eastaboga Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pitt Parker, and a daughter, Jane Moody.
Ellen S. Ferguson

Services for Ellen S. Ferguson, 94, of Wellington, were Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont. Graveside services were Friday at 10 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ferguson died Sept. 27 at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Joy Borden and Douglas Borden, both of Piedmont and Ann Milner of Stone Mountain, Ga.; four grandchildren, Felecia Steward, Key Milner, Susan Trammell and David Milner; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ferguson was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, where she was a longtime resident of the Wellington community. he was a former member of Wellington Baptist Church and was a current member of First Baptist Church of Piedmont. She was a seamstress and had served as a columnist for the Wellington News section of The Jacksonville News. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Lloyd Ferguson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to Wellington Baptist Church or First Baptist Church of Piedmont.
Andrew Jackson Fair

Services for Andrew Jackson Fair, 76, of Lake City Fla., were Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lonnie Johns officiating, and the Rev. Lowell VanVleck assisting. Burial, with full military honors, followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Lake City.
Mr. Fair died Sept. 25 at his home following a long illness.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell Fair; three sons, Jackie Laverne (Lela) Fair, Michael Joe (Laura) Fair and Ricky Eugene (LeAnne) Fair, all of Lake City; two daughters, Alice Marie (Kenny) Altman of Stuggart, Germany and Judy Ann (Keith) Mobley of Lake City; two sisters, Lillaree (Allen) Miller of Leesburg and Betty Ann Newsome of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Fair was a native of Jacksonville and was the son of the late Arthur Harrison and Effie Adora Brown Fair. He had lived in Lake City since 1968, having moved there from Birmingham. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Army, having served with the 5th Infantry Division in the European Theater, where he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star He worked for many years for the Aero Corporation as an aviation supervisor. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
