Services for Mary Irene Taylor, 87, were at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford with Sam Parker officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor died Nov. 8 at her home.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Dale Taylor of Munford; two brothers, Huse Erwin and Andrew Erwin of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Tammy Prestwood and Leslie Taylor, and a great-grandson.
Pallbearers were Jimmey Prestwood, Dewey Parker, David Parker, Charles Parker, Harold Parker, and Thomas Badgett.
Mrs. Taylor was a lifelong Jacksonville resident.
WESTBROOK

Services for E. L. “Wes” Westbrook, 69, were at 11 a.m. Nov. 15 in the chapel of K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Terry Johnson officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
Mr. Westbrook died Nov. 12 at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen Westbrook of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mark Rosier of Buford, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Paige Westbrook of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Francis Jenkins of Freeport, Fla., and Jackie Knighten of Ocala, Fla.; a brother, Robert Westbrook of Piedmont; two grandsons, Brandon Rosier and Justin Rosier, and a granddaughter, Riley Westbrook.
Pallbearers were Richie Johnson, Scott Johnson, Keith Jenkins, Tim Jenkins, Danny Westbrook, Jerry Bryan, Dennis Bryan, Scott Williams and Joe Steele.
Mr. Westbrook was retired from the Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a retired teacher at Ayers State Technical College. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Elbert Leroy Westbrook.
ANDERSON

Services for Albert Johan “Andy” Anderson, 88, were at 11 a.m. Oct. 13 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Will Garrett and Revs. James Robertson and Melisa Saccucci officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery. K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center was in charge.
Mr. Anderson died Oct. 11 at Baptist Montclair Hospital in Birmingham.
Survivors include his wife, Sophena Williams Anderson; a sister-in-law and her husband, Sarah and Bill Martin of Opelika and several cousins.
Pallbearers were Peyton Williams, David Williams, Shad Williams, Danny Bates, Cliff Williams and Robert Boyko.
Mr. Anderson was a longtime Jacksonville resident and a member of First United Methodist church where he served as treasurer of the Paul and timothy Sunday School class and as an usher. A World War II veteran, he served in the 29th Infantry in Iceland, England and France. He served on the board of the Lutheran Nursing Home in Brooklyn, N. Y.

HEATHCOCK

Services for Bettie Jean Young Heathcock, 73, of Mexico Beach, Fla., formerly of Calhoun County, were at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center chapel with Dr. Bob Ford officiating. Burial was in Green lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Heathcock died Oct. 4 in Corinth, Miss.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann Heathcock and David Steven Asbill of Corinth; a son and daughter-in-law, Lt. Col. Robert Bruce and Karen Ann Heathcock of Arlington, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Hobbs Young of Alexandria and Gwynn Odette Heathcock of Fayetteville, Ga.; a brother-in-law, John Herman Heathcock Jr., and his wife, Janice Carol Heathcock, of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren, Graham Case Asbill, Tyler Heath Asbill, Robert Anthony Heathcock and James Darrell Heathcock.
Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
Mrs. Heathcock was a Baptist. She was a member and officer of several organizations, including the National Daughters of the American Revolution and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mexico Beach Volunteer Fire Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. James T. Heathcock (ret.); a brother, Leilus Jackson Young; her parents-in-law, John Herman and Fallie Mae Heathcock and a brother-in-law, William F. Heathcock.

HENRY

Services for Nell Pierce Henry, 96, of Anniston, were at 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Dave Roberts and Rev. Jerry Foote officiating. Burial was in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Henry died Sept. 21 at Regional medical Center.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Don Beabout of Anniston and Emily and George Taylor of Birmingham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dalton and June Henry of Webster’s Chapel and Carlton and Elizabeth henry of Coosada; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Wade Henry, Rolf Pietz, Brent Beabout, Kermit Hinds Geoff Taylor Harold Ballard, George Taylor and Don Beabout.
Mrs. Henry, a Birmingham native, had lived in Calhoun County 59 years. She was a member of Gladeview Baptist Church. She retired from Anniston Army Depot with 30 years service. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.C. Henry, and two brothers, C. C. Pierce and Wilford Pierce.
SHEALY

Funeral services for Thomas Randall Shealy, 54, of Attalla, were at 11 a.m. Oct. 9 at Morgan Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Tom Holt officiating. Cremation was after the services.
Mr. Shealy died Oct. 6.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Shealy; three stepdaughters and their husbands, Lisa and Rob O’Day of Hokes Bluff, Meg and Mike Marty of Warrior, and Kerry and Dudley French of Birmingham; a brother, Lowell Shealy of Georgia; two nieces, Kay Brown and her husband, Barry Penny of Huntsville, and Melanie Raulerson of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Deven O’Day and Trevor O’Day of Hokes Bluff and Macon Marty of Warrior and a nephew, Tony Shealy of Alexandria.
Mr. Shealy was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Attalla for the past year and a half. He was a member of the Attalla First Methodist Church and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union 498. He was employed by Stevens Plumbing Company and had worked at a number of Calhoun and Etowah County funeral homes. He was a veteran of Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Alex and Imogene C. Shealy; a sister, Juline Shealy Brown and a niece, Denise Shealy.
