PIEDMONT - Services for Katherine Jordan Morgan, 85, of Piedmont will be 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of Piedmont with Dr. Harris Hand officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home. The body will be at the church one hour prior to service.
Mrs. Morgan died Saturday at Piedmont Health Care Center.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Thomas Michael “Mickey” Morgan and his wife, Mary, of Birmingham, and Randy Morgan and his wife, Judy, of Piedmont; three grandchildren, Michael Morgan, Amanda Morgan and Jordan Morgan; several nieces and nephews; and caregivers Estelle Dew, Brenda Kiser and Opal Ashworth.
Pallbearers will be John Kirkpatrick Jr., Jim Wilson, Dr. Danny Wilson, Teddy Grogan, Bruce Dempsey, B.T. Law, John Wilson, and Lin Latta.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Ina Varnell Sunday School Class and the Spice of Life Club of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Standing Rock and lived in Piedmont most of her life. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Piedmont, where she belonged to the Ina Varnell Sunday School Class, the Spice of Life Club and the United Methodist Women, serving several years as treasurer. She was a member of the Athenian Study Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris T. Morgan and a grandson, Christopher T. Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church of Piedmont, 300 N. Main St., Piedmont, AL 36272.

OXFORD - Services for Jean S. Miller Morris, 71, of Oxford will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Miller Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Bob Owens officiating. The family will receive friends 4-7 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morris died Saturday at her home.
Survivors include her son and his wife, Douglas and Monica Miller of Oxford; three sisters, Bobbie Jo Snow of Munford, and Sally Martin and Dorothy Young, both of Oxford; and three grandchildren, Kevin Richter, Gene Miller, and Airon Perkins.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamala Peoples; and a son, Jeff Miller.
Rockhold

GADSDEN - Graveside services for Sadie Luverne Lasseter Rockhold, 92, of Gallipolis, Ohio, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden, with William B. Kughn officiating and Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends at the graveside service.
Mrs. Rockhold died Monday in Gallipolis, Ohio.
Survivors include two sons, Barna Howell Lasseter and his wife, Alice, of Gallipolis, Ohio, and William Frank Lasseter of Chillicothe, Ohio; four grandsons; a granddaughter; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rockhold was an Etowah County native. She attended schools in New Mexico and received her teacher’s certificate at Jacksonville State University. She was a homemaker and a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ of Gallipolis, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Barna Ivey Lasseter and John W. Rockhold; and her parents, Jacob and Nora Archer Fuhrman.
Smallwood

Services for Gary S. Smallwood, 56, of Anniston will be 2 p.m. Monday at Gray Brown-Service Chapel, with Rev. Woodfin Grove officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Smallwood died Thursday at his home.
Survivors include his mother, Orliss E. Smallwood of Anniston; a sister, Karen Glover of Anniston; and a nephew, Brett Glover of Anniston.
Pallbearers will be Stan Bennett, John Tyler, Mike Reid, Joe Estep, Wilson Webb, Chris McCary, David Parker, and David Webster.
Mr. Smallwood, an Anniston native and lifelong resident, was a regional director of Legal Services of Alabama. He was a 1974 graduate of the University of Alabama and a graduate of Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama School of Law.

ANNISTON - Services for A. T. Cook, 90, of Anniston will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Golden Springs Baptist Church, with Dr. Roland officiating. Entombment will be in Forestlawn Gardens, with Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour prior to service.
Mr. Cook died Saturday at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Vera D. Cook of Anniston; two sons, Boyce W. Cook and his wife, Carole, of Roanoke, Va., and Larry T. Cook and his wife, Kaye, of Colorado Springs, Co., three grandchildren, Kevin Cook, Perry Cook, and Larry T. Cook Jr.; two step-grandchildren, Chad Smith and Shawn Smith; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Smith, Perry Cook, Karl Beasley, Scott Burdette, Steven Burdette, and Brian Burdette.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class of Golden Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Cook, a Franklin County native, lived in Calhoun County since 1941. He was retired from Standard Coffee Service, where he worked for 44 years. Mr. Cook was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church, where he formerly served as deacon and was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Lions Club.

ANNISTON - Services for Thomas L. Hunt, 51, of Anniston will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Greater Thankful Baptist Church in Anniston, with Rev. P.Q. English officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills cemetery in Anniston, with Anniston Funeral Services in charge. The body will be at the church one hour prior to service.
Mr. Hunt died Thursday at his residence.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Nelson of Birmingham; and three brothers, Curtis Hunt Jr. of Jacksonville, Jerome Hunt of Washington, D.C., and Terry Hunt of Anniston.
Mr. Hunt was a lifelong resident of Anniston, a member of Greater Thankful Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
