Johnson

ROANOKE - Services for Gregory Gilliam Johnson, 57, of Roanoke will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with Revs. Don Quick and Stoney Halsey officiating. The family will receive friends 4-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson died Sunday at Wedowee Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Kristopher Johnson of Selma; and his mother, Sue Johnson of Roanoke.

Mr. Johnson was a truck driver for Hub Trucking. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Johnson; and his father, Loys Johnson.

Johnson

WADLEY - Services for Samantha Johnson, 13, of Wadley will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Wadley, with Elder Thomas Knight and Rev. Lathonia J. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Clark Memorial Funeral Service in Roanoke. The body will be at the church one hour prior to service.

Ms. Johnson died Wednesday at Randolph Medical Center in Roanoke.

Survivors include her mother, Juanita Johnson of Wadley; a brother, Sylvester Johnson of Wadley; her maternal grandmother, Christine Johnson of Wadley; her paternal grandmother, Mollie O’Neal of Wedowee; three special aunts, Elizabeth Heard, and her husband, Cotter, Christina Johnson, and Mary Johnson and her husband, Marvin, all of Wadley; and two special uncles, Randy Johnson and his wife, Denise, of Chicago, and James Johnson and his wife, Angela, of Daviston.

Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Kit Johnson and Carl O’Neal.

Anderson

JACKSONVILLE – Services for Albert Johan "Andy" Anderson, 88, of Jacksonville will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville with Dr. Will Garrett and Revs. James Robertson and Melisa Saccucci officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at K.L. Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Mr. Anderson died Monday at Baptist Montclair Hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include his wife, Sophena Williams Anderson; a sister-in-law and her husband, Sarah and Bill Martin of Opelika; and several cousins.

Pallbearers will be Peyton Williams, David Williams, Shad Williams, Danny Bates, Cliff Williams and Robert Boyko.

Mr. Anderson, a longtime Jacksonville resident, was a member of First United Methodist Church where he served as treasurer of Paul and Timothy Sunday School and as an usher. A World War II veteran, he served in the 29th Infantry in Iceland, England and France. He served on the Board of the Lutheran Nursing Home in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Debt Retirement, P.O. Box 1025, Jacksonville, AL 36265.

Braddock

Services for Helen Louise McCullars Braddock, 82, of Anniston will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory with Rev. Spence Steedly officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Braddock died Sunday in Anniston.

Survivors include a sister and her husband, Ruth and George Atkisson of Anniston; a brother, George Johnson of Albertville; and two grandchildren, Jeremy Chavez and David Doyle.

Pallbearers will be Norman Murray, Curt Murray, Dennis Catoe, Philip Rowe, Mykel Storey and Kyle Gilmer.

Mrs. Braddock, a Lanett native, lived in Calhoun County most of her life. She was a member of The Choccolocco Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Burt McCullars, and a daughter, Jerri Lynn Chavez.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Choccolocco Community Church, P.O. Box 234, Choccolocco, AL 36254.

Comer

OHATCHEE – Services for Jackie Wayne Comer, 59, of Ohatchee will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ohatchee First Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Terry officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory in Anniston.

Mr. Comer died Sunday in Anniston.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Comer, and a son, Patrick Comer of Ohatchee.

Pallbearers will be Doug Laney, Glean Heath, Howard Thomas, Weldon Curry, Jerry Nunnelly and Bobby Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Sunday School Class of Ohatchee First Baptist Church.

Mr. Comer, a Calhoun County native and lifelong resident, was a deacon and member of Ohatchee First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Nannie Comer.

Dame
10-12-2004

CALHOUN, Ky. – Services for Eugene Martin Dame, 79, of Calhoun, Ky., formerly of Anniston, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, Ky. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and two hours prior to services at the funeral home.

Mr. Dame died Sunday at Riverside Manor Nursing Home in Calhoun.

Survivors include a son, Mike Dame of Northport; three daughters, Rebecca Jackson of Madisonville, Karen Adwell of Owensboro and Donna Hausmann of Seattle; a brother, Howard Dame of Owensboro; a sister, Anna Mae Dame of Utica, Ky.; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dame was a member of First Presbyterian Church. A World War II Navy veteran, he served on submarines as a radio operator. He retired from General Electric. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Perryman Dame.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3703 Taylorsville Road, Suite #102, Louisville, KY 40220.
