ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Services for Kathryn Malatino of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Anniston, will be announced by Gray Brown Service Mortuary and Crematory.
Mrs. Malatino died Sunday in St. Petersburg.
Morales

BYNUM – Services for Mary Ellen "Mimi" Morales, 62, of Bynum, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary and Chapel with Rev. Ron Moreno officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 Tuesday night at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morales died Saturday at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
Roberts

JACKSONVILLE – Services for Birdie L. Murray Roberts, 89, of Jacksonville, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Truman Norred officiating. Burial will be in White’s Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roberts died Saturday at Jacksonville Medical Center.
Survivors include three daughters, Clara Lee Loden of Waco, Texas, Elaine Eye and her husband Bill, of Georgetown, Texas, and Doris Baker and her husband H. Wendell, of Montgomery; two sisters, Ann Dryden of Oxford and Cynthia Merritt of Pensacola, Fla.; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Roberts’ nephews.
Mrs. Roberts was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, and attended West Side Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Roberts, her sons Herman Roberts, Clark Roberts, Billy Roberts and Johnny Roberts, a daughter Patricia Ann Roberts, three brothers and two sisters.
Shew

JACKSONVILLE – Services for Fredy Darrel Shew, 80, of Jacksonville, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Revs. Terry Johnson and Bill Jaggar officiating. Burial will be in Green lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Shew died Saturday at Jacksonville Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine Allsup Shew of Jacksonville; a daughter, Carol Perry of Marietta, Ga.; a brother, Chester Shew of Glencoe; two grandchildren, Valerie Suzanne Perry, and Scott DeWayne Perry and his wife Shannon; a great-grandson and five nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Roger Shew, Ryan Shew, James Shew, Jerry Shew, Scott Perry, Brent Shew and Mark Williams.
Mr. Shew was a native of Etowah County, son of the late Fred and Ette Shew. He was a resident of Calhoun County for most of his life. He received his bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University and his master’s degree from Peabody College. He taught school at Oxford, White Plains, Friendship, Duke and Alexandria. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church and an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kaye Shew and a brother, Doyce Shew.
Thrower

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Services for Alma Seymour Thrower, 76, of Columbus, Ga., formerly of Roanoke, will be today at 3 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Tyson and Donald Benefield officiating. Burial will follow at the Midway Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Thrower died Saturday at her home.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela DuBose and her husband Larry W., of Columbus, Ga.; a son, Joe Thrower and his wife JoAnn, of Wadley; a sister, Agnes Griffin of Opelika; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Thrower, Heath Puckett, B.J. Armstrong, Larry DuBose, Dean Thrower, Eddie Wray, Willie Johnson and Seyburn Childers.
Mrs. Thrower was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nora Elizabeth Sheppard Seymour; husband, James H. Thrower, Jr.; and a son, James Thrower.

OXFORD – Services for Meron J. "Tommy" Thompson, 88, of Oxford, will be announced by Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel.
Mr. Thompson died Saturday in Birmingham.
Wymer

Services for Edna M. Wymer, 77, of Anniston, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Forestlawn Gardens Chapel with Rev. Tim Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the Forestlawn Mausoleum Chapel.
Ms. Wymer died Sunday at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
Survivors include two daughters, Joann Wymer and Judy Madrigal, both of Anniston; two grandsons, Robbie Dale Pate and Jason Madrigal, both of Anniston; three sisters, Irene Silas of Anniston, Betty Herring of Oxford and Bobbie Hearn of Daytona, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren.
Ms. Wymer was a Calhoun County resident for most of her life, daughter of the late Walter and Fannie Luallen. She was retired from CM Offray. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Luallen and Clifford Luallen and a sister, Vernice Haskew.
Bailey

WOODLAND – Services for Auline Fant Bailey, 80, of Woodland will be 2 p.m. today at Mount Carmel Church of Christ with Rev. David Daniel officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mrs. Bailey died Monday at Hospice LaGrange in LaGrange, Ga.
Survivors include her husband, John R. Bailey; a daughter, Yvonne Edwards of Auburn; a son, Hulett J. Glover Jr. of LaGrange; three stepdaughters, Rachel Worrell of LaGrange, and Trudy Fincher and Sharon Street, both of Woodland; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Edwards, Glenn Street, J.R. Fincher, John Fincher, Ron Worrell and Jake Hembree.
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rush and Sally Cogar Fant; a sister, Josie Hilyer; and a grandchild, Carol Turner.
