TALLADEGA – Graveside services for Hulon "Hoot" Stone, 77, of Talladega will be 2 p.m. Friday at Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at Talladega Funeral Home.
Mr. Stone died Tuesday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Wilcox Stone; two daughters, Brenda Crowe and her husband, Larry, of Rainbow City, and Wanda Stone of Talladega; three sons, Stanley Stone, Kenny Stone and Johnny Stone, all of Talladega; a sister, Estelle Gurley of Talladega; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Mr. Stone, a DeKalb County native, had lived most of his life in Talladega County.

Strickland

TALLADEGA – Services for Juanita Strickland, 71, of Talladega will be announced by Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary.
Ms. Strickland died Wednesday at Talladega Healthcare Center.

PIEDMONT – Services for Jared Arrington, 29, of Piedmont will be announced by Thompson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Arrington died Thursday at his home.
Burkhead

ASHLAND – Services for Jim Bob Burkhead, 77, of Ashland will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Holmes officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Ashland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at Clay County Funeral Home.
Mr. Burkhead died Thursday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Jo Burkhead; a daughter and her husband, Jocelyn B. and Bryan Phurrough of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Warren Burkhead of Ashland; two sisters, Glenda Burkhead of Jay, Fla. and Sue Jerkins of Brewton; two brothers, John Burkhead and Buddy Burkhead, both of Jay; and a grandson, Jonathan Saxon.
Pallbearers will be Jean Nolen, Randy Royster, Joey Crawford, Steve Roberts, Greg Roberts, Freddie Thompson, Rusty Mattox and Earl McCay. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Ashland Masonic Lodge 356, York Rite of Anniston, Scottish Rite and Alcazar Temple of Montgomery.
Mr. Burkhead, a Clay County native and lifelong resident, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ashland. He retired from Local 1192 as a millwright with 55 years of service. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Ashland Masonic Lodge 356 and a 33rd Degree Mason, York Rite of Anniston and Scottish Rite and Alcazar Temple of Montgomery. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Burkhead; his parents, Dee and Cora Burkhead; two sisters, Oleta Hodnett and Ramona Lee; and three brothers, Dee Burkhead Jr., Tom Burkhead and Bill Burkhead.

Denson

LINEVILLE – Services for Olen Denson, 74, of Lineville will be 2 p.m. today at Barfield Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne A. Stevens and Rev. Wayne Adams officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends until 1 p.m. today at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Denson died Wednesday at Bill Nichols Veterans State Home in Alexander City.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Foster Denson; a daughter, Lisa Porter of Lineville; a son, Kenneth Denson of Lineville; four sisters, Esther Upchurch, Lucille Dickinson, Willene Upchurch and Martha Moncus, all of Lineville; a brother, Lindsey Denson of Lineville; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerrold Denson, David Upchurch, Larry Upchurch, Gary Denson, Charles Denson, Steve Foster, Bobby Crenshaw and Doug Foster . Honorary pallbearers will be Barfield Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class.
Mr. Denson, a Clay County native and lifelong resident, was a member of Barfield Baptist Church. A Korean War Army veteran, he retired from Higgins Manufacturing Company with 40 years of service and was a farmer. He was a member of VFW and Woodman of the World. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Ursula Denson; and three brothers, Robert Denson, J.W. Denson and Elvert Denson.
Gentry

Graveside services for Steve Wayne Gentry, 49, of Anniston will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pine Grove Cemetery with Leroy Austin officiating and Miller Funeral Home of Oxford in charge. The family will receive friends after noon today at 914 Patterson Street in Anniston.
Mr. Gentry died Tuesday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Garlene Gentry; two stepchildren, Ashley Nikai Holand and Anthony Michael Gentry, both of Anniston; his mother, Betty Lou Gentry of Anniston; two sisters, Emily Gentry and Patricia Gentry, both of Anniston; and four brothers, Stoney Gentry, Gene Gentry, Michael Gentry and Grady Lee Gentry, all of Anniston.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ray O’Brien, Allan Michael Gentry, Anthony Michael Gentry, Lamar Champion and Robert Talley.
Mr. Gentry, a lifelong Anniston resident, was Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father, James Stoney Gentry; and a sister, Sudie Gentry.
Guilford

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Graveside services for Linda T. Guilford, 63, of Newport News, Va., formerly of Anniston and Randolph County, were Nov. 29 at Green lawn Cemetery in Newport News with Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel of Newport News in charge.
Mrs. Guilford died Nov. 23 at Riverside Medical Center in Newport News.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Guilford; four daughters, Suzanne McKinsey, Wendy Guilford, Kim Guilford and Annette Guilford; two sons, Horace Eley and Orrace Eley; two sisters, Delores Trammell Jones of Anniston and Margie Trammell of Oregon; three brothers, Marvin Trammell and Ronald Trammell, both of Oakland, Calif., and Arthur Trammell of Houston; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Guilford was an instructional assistant at Watkins Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Susie Trammell; and a brother, John Morris Trammell.
