Pruitt

Services for Daniel O. Pruitt, 53, of Anniston will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Moore Avenue Church of Christ with Bro. Willie Ivey officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery with Ervin Funeral Chapel in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Pruitt died Monday at his home.
Survivors include two sons, Jermelle Pruitt and his wife, Kerri, of Birmingham and Querin Pruitt of Anniston; three sisters, Flora Harris of Anniston, Doris Wallace and her husband, Harry, of Atlanta and Carol Pruitt of Kankakee, Ill.; two brothers, Everett Pruitt and Kenneth Pruitt, both of Chicago; and a grandchild, Jehme Leslie Pruitt.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Pruitt was a member of Moore Avenue Church of Christ. He worked at the Anniston Army Depot and served in the Army and Army Reserve for 26 years. He was preceded in death by a son, Danon Pruitt; and his parents, Willie Pruitt and Ressie Parker.
Ross

Services for Ronnie Ross, 30, of Anniston will be announced by Goodson Funeral Home.
Mr. Ross died Saturday at University Hospital in Birmingham.
Sanders

TALLADEGA – Services for F.L. Sanders, 80, of Talladega will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby J. Welch officiating. Burial will be in Lane Chapel Cemetery with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Sanders died Friday at his home.
Survivors include a son, Archer Chatman of Talladega; two sisters, Remie N. Christian of Buffalo, N.Y. and Viree Curry of Chicago; two brothers, Solomon Sanders of Chicago and Mark Sanders of Irvington, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews and family friends.
Mr. Sanders was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church and sang in the choir. An Army veteran who was honorably discharged, he received several medals including the World War II Victory Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with one Bronze Star, the American Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He had been employed at the Anniston Army Depot and retired from Talladega Pipe Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Christian Sanders; his parents, Efful Sanders and Tinnie Cook Sanders; a sister, Ruth Dennis; and four brothers, Aaron Sanders, Samuel Sanders, Joseph Sanders and John Amos Sanders.
Shealy

ATTALLA – Services for Thomas Randall Shealy, 54, of Attalla will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Attalla with Rev. Tom Holt officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Shealy died Wednesday in Jacksonville.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Shealy; three stepdaughters and their husbands, Lisa and Rob O’Day of Hokes Bluff, Meg and Mike Marty of Warrior, and Kerry and Dudley French of Birmingham; a brother, Lowell Shealy of Georgia; three grandchildren, Deven O’Day, Trevor O’Day and Macon Marty; and several nieces and a nephew.
Mr. Shealy, a Calhoun County native, had lived in Attalla the past 1 _ years. He was a member of Attalla First Methodist Church. A Vietnam Veteran, he was employed by Stevens Plumbing Company and had worked at several funeral homes in Calhoun and Etowah counties. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union 498. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Alex and Imogene C. Shealy; a sister, Juline Shealy Brown; and a niece.
Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to First Methodist Church of Attalla.
Smallwood

Mr. Smallwood died Thursday at his home.
Spurling

TALLADEGA – Services for Mary F. Spurling, 87, of Talladega will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Talladega Funeral Home with Rev. Ottis Graves officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Spurling died Thursday at Talladega HealthCare Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Holmes and Mary Johnson, both of Talladega; eight sons, Grady Spurling, Tony Spurling, Charlie Spurling, Danny Spurling and Dewayne Spurling, all of Talladega, Benny Spurling of Anniston, Leslie Spurling of Lincoln and James Spurling of Roanoke; several grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Spurling, a Clay County native and longtime Talladega County resident, was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Talladega. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Spurling.
Truss

TALLADEGA – Graveside services for Dorris Cohill Truss, 73, of Talladega will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Rev. B.E. McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends 6-7 tonight at Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary.
Mrs. Truss died Sunday at Talladega Healthcare Center.
Survivors include her husband, Milton Judson Truss; a stepdaughter, Andrea Voncille Truss of Talladega; two sisters, Essie Carr of Anniston and Dyquita Meadows of Marietta, Ga.; and two brothers, Charles Cohill of Anniston and Willie R. Cohill of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mrs. Truss was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. She owned Dot’s Beauty Shop and was a beautician for 58 years.
Cash

FRUITHURST – Services for James Ollie Cash, 88, of Fruithurst will be 3 p.m. EDT Sunday at Camp Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Pike officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home of Tallapoosa, Ga. in charge. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Cash died Thursday.
Survivors include his wife, Paulette Pesnell Cash; two daughters, Sharon Taylor and her husband, Toby, of Muscadine and Deborah Cash of Fruithurst; a stepdaughter and her husband, Linda and Keith Cooper of Blue Mountain; three sons and their wives, G.W. and Diane Cash, and Bruce and Benita Cash, all of Fruithurst, and Donald and Sherry Cash of Piedmont; two stepsons, Johnny Brimer and his wife, Tracy, of Fruithurst and Lewis Brimer of Calhoun County; a sister-in-law, Ann Williams of Fruithurst; a daughter-in-law, Glynda Cash; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff Cash, Tommy Cash, Heath Cash, Tony Cash, Lane Cash, David Cash, Alan Taylor and Chad Shierling. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cash, a Cleburne County native, retired from Dixie Steel Company. He was also a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary H. Cash; two sons, Gene Cash and Doyle Cash; a brother, Hoyt Cash; and a sister, Myrtle Cash.
