TALLADEGA - Services for Debra Joyce White, 45, of Talladega will be announced by Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary.
Ms. White died Monday at Baptist Montclair Medical Center in Birmingham.
Williams

ALPINE - Services for John Williams Sr., 82, of Alpine will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. George Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary of Talladega in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.
Mr. Williams died Friday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Cole Williams; three daughters, Marilyn Knight of Wedowee, Deborah Williams of Alpine and Zabrina Zuber of Rosemont, Minn.; four sons, John Williams Jr. of Wedowee, Paul Williams and Stanley Williams, both of Carrollton, Ga., and Danny Williams of Abanda; four sisters, Minnie Johnson of Chicago, and Geraldine Bennett, Alberta Williams and Dollie Williams, all of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Freddie Bush of Anniston, and Aaron Williams and Harry Williams, both of Cleveland; and 20 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
Mr. Williams was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He joined the Army in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, American Theatre Ribbon and the Victort Ribbon. He was a farmer and had been employed at the Bemis Bag Company and Talladega Foundry.

Services for Diane Worthy, 62, of Anniston will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary chapel with Rev. Ronnie Helms officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 tonight.
Mrs. Worthy died Sunday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston.
Survivors include a son, Michael Worthy of Oxford; two daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Jorge Hernandez of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tammy and Shane Mitchell of Ohatchee; a brother, Ronald Bagley of Los Angeles; a sister, Denise Lakeman of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren, Matthew Worthy, Emily Worthy, Joseph Hernandez, Ryan Hernandez, Chris Hernandez, Jasmine Hernandez, Zachary Mitchell and MyKenzie Mitchell; and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Tony Shears, Shane Mitchell, Matt Worthy, Zachary Mitchell, Joseph Hernandez, Ryan Hernandez and Chris Hernandez.
Mrs. Worthy was a Calhoun County native and lifelong resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Worthy; her mother, Pauline Bagley; and a brother, Bobby Bagley.

HEFLIN – Services for Desmer Gore Butler, 88, of Heflin will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Heflin Church of God with Ronnie Williams, Kenneth Howell and Eugene McDowell officiating. Burial will be in Heflin City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Dryden Funeral Home 6-8 tonight.
Mrs. Butler died Wednesday at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Nellie and Kenneth Howell of Heflin; a son and his wife, Eddie and Sue Butler of Fruithurst; two sisters, Ophie Wysner of Heflin and Lula Gore of Muscadine; a brother, Posey Gore of Tallapoosa, Ga.; five grandchildren, Wayne Howell, Debbie Holt, Greg Howell, Gary Howell and Connie Taylor; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Howell, Gary Howell, Greg Howell, Jamie Davis, Jonah Howell, Hulan Gore and Rodney Holt.
Mrs. Butler, a Cleburne County native and lifelong resident, was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Butler; a son, Carroll Donald Butler; a daughter, Barbara Butler Rainey; her parents, Phil and Cora Gore; a sister, Faye Gore; and three brothers, Claude Gore, Ed Gore and Arlin Gore.

LINCOLN – Services for A.C. Cole, 80, of Lincoln will be Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Sims Funeral Service in Talladega with Minister Kirk Mosley officiating. Burial will be Tuesday in Riverside Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Cole died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Cole; five sons; eight daughters; a sister, Rachel Norflert of Bessemer; 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Dempsey

HEFLIN – Services for Sadie Harris Dempsey, 91, of Heflin will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Dryden Funeral Home with Revs. Chris Jackson and Roy Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 tonight.
Mrs. Dempsey died Wednesday at her home.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Louis Edward and Sonja Kent of Germany; a daughter-in-law, Bernice Kent of Heflin; a grandson, John A. Kent and his wife, Iris; and a great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Junior Cates, Garfield Daniel, Jimmy Fordham, Garland McAlpine, Ralph McClure and Billy Jo Willingham.
Mrs. Dempsey, a longtime Cleburne County resident, was a member of Wise Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a seamstress and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by a son, L.A. Kent.
