Services for Mary Beatrice McCrelles West, 79, were at 11 a.m. June 23 at K. L. Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with Rev. Chuck Cummings officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
Mrs. West died June 21 at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include two sons, J. T. West of Alexandria and Russell West of Jacksonville; three daughters, Carolyn Bragg of Piedmont and Charlene Vasser and Cindy Gatlin, both of Anniston; a sister, Mildred Parris of Jacksonville; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mark West, Jonathan West, Keith Bragg, Joey Patterson, Chris Patterson, and Rodney Patterson.
Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. West Sr., a daughter, Gloria Patterson, and a son, Eddie West.
Robert Windon Coley

Services for Robert Windon Coley, 79, were at 11 a.m. July 29 at Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. James Lee Brown officiating. Burial was in Nances Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Coley died Aug. 26 at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Coley of Jacksonville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bobby and Patsy Coley of Oxford and Roger Coley of Jacksonville; two step-sons, Ronnie Burns of Anniston and Gary Burns and his wife Sherry of Oneonta; one sister, Annie Lou Smith of Jacksonville; one sister-in-law, Mamie Coley of Breman, Ga.; four grandchildren, Keith Coley and his wife Susan of Rainbow City, Tonya Coley of Eastaboga, Anthony Coley and Carrie Goodson and her husband Craig, all of Oxford; three step-grandchildren, Bradley Burns of Anniston, Emily Hawkins and Casey Hawkins, both of Oneonta; three great-grandchildren, Tanner Coley, Alyssa Coley and Bradey Goodson; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Raymond Coley, Billy Coley, Robert Smith, Keith Coley, James Parris and Stanley Barnwell.
Mr. Coley was a native and resident of Calhoun County. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot, was a U. S. Army World War II veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
Dorothy Nell Johnson

Services for Dorothy Nell Johnson, 60, of Smyrna, Ga., were at 11 a.m. June 19 at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Rev. Joey Abraham and Rev. Claude officiated. Burial was in Thomas Cemetery in Piedmont.
Mrs. Johnson died June 16 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Ellis Johnson of Smyrna, Ga.; two sons, Jay Ellis Johnson of Smyrna and Dennis Grant Johnson of Douglasville, Ga.; a sister, Mary Ann Buck of Indianapolis; a brother, Harold Lee Cox of Indianapolis; her father, Hardin F. Cox of Indianapolis and four grandchildren, Benjamin Lee Johnson, Jane Marie Johnson, Kimberlyn Micaela Johnson and Courtney Hope Johnson.
Pallbearers were nephews.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Bowling Green, Ky., and lived in Calhoun County for seven years. She had lived in Smyrna for 31 years and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga.
Lillian Boozer West

Services for Lillian Boozer West, 99, were at 11 a.m. July 28 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bert Breland, Rev. Jim Wilson and Tom Malone officiating. Burial was at Moore Cemetery.
Mrs. West died July 26 at Jacksonville Medical Center.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Seymour West Jr., and Sara of Jacksonville; a sister, Lois Knight of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Seymour West II and Beth West Johnson, both of Jacksonville; three great-grandchildren, Steve Johnson of Jacksonville, Lauren West of Gadsden and Kathryn West of Gadsden; two great-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Zeke Johnson of Jacksonville and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were nephews and friends.
Mrs. West was a member of First Baptist Church and Jacksonville Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seymour West Sr.

Velma Leo Bragg

Services for Velma Leo Bragg, 102 of Ringgold, Ga., formerly of Jacksonville, were at 2 p.m. Aug. 7 at K. L. Brown Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Rev. Bruce Johnson officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Bragg died Aug. 3 at Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Survivors include two daughters, Clara Wall of Marino Valley, Calif., and Ruby England of Ringgold; two sisters, Eva Knight of Anniston and Fay Dubois of Jacksonville; 35 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren, 35 great-great-grandchildren, and several great-great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gordon Wall, David Bragg, Terry Bragg, Tony McCurdy, Donald McCurdy, Jeff McCurdy and Timothy Jones.
Mrs. Bragg, a Rockmart, Ga., native, had lived in Jacksonville many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bragg.

Services for Dorothy Dotson Hyde, 86, formerly of Maryville, Tenn., were at 2 p.m. June 15 at K. L. Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with Rev. James Cohorn officiating. Burial was in Seven Springs Cemetery with K. L Brown Funeral Home in charge.
Ms. Hyde died June 13 at Jacksonville Health & Rehabilitation.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James Carl and Mary Hyde of Jacksonville and Jess Robert and Pat Hyde of Maryville; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley T. and John Calhoun of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and brother and sister-in-law, Carmon and Velma Jones of Russellville; five grandchildren, Kathy Perkins, Kay Griffin, Lea Kittrell, Jessica Hyde and Nathan Hyde; eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Kenny Griffin, Danny Craven, Roger Angel, Jeff Angel, Gary Angel and Denny Noah. Honorary pallbearers were members of Faith Sunday School Class at Angel Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hyde was a Citico, Tenn., native. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Maryville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess R. Hyde
