Gracie Stewart Gay, 82, of Andalusia, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, in an Opp hospital. A funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in the Rose Hill Community. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Wyatt Funeral Home.
Jake C. Maloy
Jake C. Maloy, 76, of Florala, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, in a Birmingham hospital. A native of Covington County, he was the son of the late A.J. and Mattie Lewis Maloy. He was a retired farmer. A funeral was held Thursday, Sept. 28 at Evans Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Lewis Cemetery.
John W. Boggan
John W. Boggan, 81, of Orlando, Fla., died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000. Born and raised in Andalusia, he was the son of John J. Boggan and Sarah Caroline Dozier Boggan. A veteran of World War II, he was a retired teacher of Conway United Methodist Church. A funeral was held Monday, Sept. 2, at Conway United Methodist Church in Orlando, Fla. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Conway United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
John Wesley “Teamon” Clark
John Wesley “Teamon” Clark, 83, of Andalusia, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, in a local hospital. Born in Covington County, he was the son of the late Oliver C. Clark and Mary Lizzy Clark. He moved to Niagra Falls, N.Y. in 1953 where he worked for many years at Great Lakes Carbon. He was a member of Gantt Baptist Church. A funeral was held Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Andalusia with Rev. Wayne Sharpe and Rev. Melvin Kilpatrick officiating. Burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Carolyn Folmar Johnson, 76, of Goshen, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, in a Montgomery Hospital. A funeral will be held at Goshen Baptist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. with Rev. W.O. Sanders and Rev. David Zorn officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest cemetery in Goshen. Memorials may be made to the Goshen Baptist Church Bus Fund.

Dr. Steven Russell Price, 50, of Scottsboro, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2000, in Scottsboro. He practiced medicine in Opp from 1989 to 1998, when he moved to Scottsboro and continued practicing General Surgery until his death. A funeral will be held Thursday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Peaceful Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4. A veteran of WWII, he served in the U.S. Marine Corp., and worked 29 years at General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant as a line worker. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. in Fairmount Cemetery with Rev. Woodrow Plant officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.
