He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and retired from Maxwell Air Force as Chief of the Civil Engineering Planning Section. He was also a member of Heritage Baptist Church of Montgomery. A funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with P. John McDaniel officiating. Special music will be provided by Don Lingel, soloist. Burial will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Camp Smile a Mile, P.O. Box 550-155, Birmingham, Ala., 35255.
