Gertrude Pough
Gertrude Pough, 91, of Phenix City, formerly of Searight, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, in a Phenix City nursing facility.
A funeral will be held Tuesday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev., Alan Cassady officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Avis McPherson of Smith; two grandchildren, Alan McPherson of Phenix City and Dennis McPherson of Waverly, Ga.; and four great-grandchildren.

Al Boyett
Al Boyett, 55, of Andalusia, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at his residence.

Mittie Huggins Brooks
Mittie Huggins Brooks, 85, of Somerville community in Morgan County died Wednesday, May 8, 2002.
She lived most of her life in the Carolina community, for the past 13 years she had been a resident of Somerville community. For several years during her work career, she was cafeteria supervisor for all city schools in Andalusia. Mrs. Brooks was a Christian all her adult life and attended Central Church of Christ while living in the Andalusia area.
A memorial service was held on Monday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at the Twickenham Church of Christ in Huntsville. A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 14 at 10 a.m. in the family plot in the Cedar Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with minister George Herring officiating.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Jesse C. Brooks of Somerville; two sons, Lehn Brooks of Huntsville and Lloyd Brooks of Somerville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dr. Linda Brooks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any desiring to designate a memorial gift may make a charitable contribution to the Dr. Linda Y. Brooks Endowment Fund, President’s Office, Faulkner University, Montgomery, AL 36109.
Jack Wyndall Cannon
Jack Wyndall Cannon, 71, formerly of Atlanta and Montgomery, died Sunday, May 5, 2002, in Richmond,Va.
He was the son of Mary Gay Williamson and Add Cannon of Red Level.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Cannon Vogt of Wake Forest, N.C. and Sally Cannon Whitlock of Richmond, Va; a son, Patrick Baker Cannon of Atlanta; four grandchildren Jeremy Baker Vogt of Raleigh, N.C., Ruthanna Hanson Vogt of Wake Forest, N.C. and Virginia Ruthven Whitlock and Windsor Rose Whitlock of Richmond, Va; two sisters, Amelia Grace Cannon Curry of Red Level and Montgomery and Mary Jean Cannon Tauch of Flatonia, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Edna Rae Cannon Pouncey.
The family received friends at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11. Graveside services followed at 11:30 a.m. at Fairmount Baptist Church in Red Level.

Florence Williamson
Florence Williamson, 93, of Andalusia, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002 in a local hospital.
A funeral was held Friday, May 10 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. J.T. Castleberry officiating. Special music provided by the Oak Grove Baptist Church Choir. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include children and spouses, Lorretta and Desi Manning of Andalusia, Mary Lou Jackson of Dozier, Marvin Williamson of Canton, Miss., Mancy “Shorty” and Carolyn Williamson of Dozier, Roxie Bracewell of Gantt, Endia and Buddy Jeter of Andalusia, and Betty and Clayton Terry of Red Level; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bealie Williamson.
Pallbearers were Tim Odom, Scott Bracewell, Jerry Williamson, Mark McGinnis, Lawrence Chandler, Chris Harris.
James Ray Dye
James Ray Dye, 77, of Andalusia, died Saturday, May 11, 2002 at his home in Andalusia.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 3 p.m. at Antioch Congregational Church with Rev. John Maust officiating. Burial will follow at the Antioch Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include wife, Addie G. Dye of Andalusia; son, Mark Dye of Andalusia; daughter, Sherry Conner of Andalusia; a sister, Ruth Nall of Evergreen; three brothers, Ted Dye of Andalusia, Charles Dye of Dothan, and Carl Dye of Tenn.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Max Dye. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday at Foreman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Dye, Scott Dye, Benji Jordan, Joey Jordan, Mitch Conner, and Meremy Melvin. Honorary pallbearers will be Rufus Duncan, Ray Cunningham, and Bill Crowell.

Robert L. Elmore, 30, of Andalusia, died Friday, May 10, 2002 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. hospital.
A funeral was held Sunday, May 12 at 3:30 p.m. at Judson Baptist Church with Rev. Hank Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Foreman Funeral Home and 30 minutes prior to services at the church.
Survivors include parents, Margie and Wayne Elmore of Andalusia; two brothers, John Wade of Destin, Fla., and Clay Elmore of Andalusia; two half-brothers, Steven and Billy Hall of Mississippi; and grandfather, Virgle McGlaun of Andalusia. The pallbearers were Jason Elmore, David Elmore, Daniel Bulger, Ben Clark, Todd Inabinett, and Chad Long.
Joseph Scott Marino Hudson
Joseph Scott Marino Hudson, 22, of Opp, died Monday, May 20, 2002 at Andalusia Regional Hospital.
A funeral will be held Friday, May 24 at 2 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Denny Couturie officiating. Burial will follow at Kinston Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Hudson; two daughters, Lillian Nicole Hudson and Breanna Michelle Hudson; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hudson; maternal grandparents, Martha and Jessie Jerkins, all of Opp; maternal grandfather, Alden Marino of Crestview, Fla.; one brother, Christopher Harold Hudson of Andalusia; one sister, Tammymae Michelle Hudson of Opp.

Lizzie Bradley Bundy, 89, of Red Level, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 an Andalusia hospital.
A funeral was held Thursday, at 2 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. William Goodson officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Ray Bundy. Burial followed at River Falls Cemetery with Eastern Star Rites by Red Level Chapter # 450.
Survivors include one son, Jim Bundy of Andalusia; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-children; two sisters, Nora Lee Turner of River Falls and Nobie McAllister of Taxoma, Wash.
Glenda Dewrell Miller
Glenda Dewrell Miller, 79, of Andalusia, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 in a local hospital.
A funeral will be held Saturday, May 25 at 3 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Ganus and Rev. LaVon Butler officiating. Music will be provided by Zion Hill Baptist Church Choir. Burial will follow at Sanford Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Dewrell, Harold E. Dewrell, and William F. “Poochie” Dewrell, all of Andalusia; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Jesse C. Howard of Arkansas; one sister, Kathleen Woodruff of Baton Rouge, La. She also had a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Billy Prowell, Curtis Prowell, Benny Williamson, Bruce Douglas, Monty Stewart, and Junior Woodruff.
