Virgil Haynes
Services for Virgil Haynes, 71, of Vinemont will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2001 at Bethlehem West Baptist Church, Tim Aris and Wintford Haynes officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Haynes died Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 15, 1930 to Jay and Verla Farley Haynes. He was a member of Bethlehem West Baptist Church. He medically retired as a machinist from Dura Automotive Division in Michigan in 1970.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Weston J. Burnham.
Survivors include a son, Jay Virgil (Suebrena) Haynes; two daughters, Lavonda (Tom) Waldrop and Jackie (Jon) Burnham; two brothers, Wintford Haynes and Jack (Jr.) Haynes; three sisters, Theola Russell, Irene Zugaro Smith and Lorene Wilson; seven grandchildren, Trina, Patrick, Nathaniel, Julianna, Conner, Danielle and Jamie; and three great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Cody and Shyanne.
Visitation was Thursday.
Harold Wayne Lawrence
Services for Harold Wayne Lawrence, 57, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001 at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Dennis Reeves officiating, with burial in Battleground Cemetery.

Mr. Lawrence died Thursday, Dec. 27 at Meadowwood Nursing Home in Bessemer. He was born Jan. 21, 1944 in Cullman County to David and Clara Mae Pierce Lawrence. He was a brick layer and a member of Soul’s Harbour Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Bridgett (Sandy) O’Neil of Cullman and Alicia Lawrence of Eva; two brothers, Troy Lawrence of Cullman and Thelene Lawrence of Hanceville; and two grandchildren, Rashawna O’Neil and Justin O’Neil.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Codie J. Russell
Services for Codie J. Russell, 58, of Somerville will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2001 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. James Wray officiating, with burial in Center Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Russell died Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born in Cullman County on April 26, 1943 to J.T. and Virginia Campbell Russell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Russell of Somerville; six sons, Tim Simmons, Triston Russell and Joseph Matthew Russell, all of Somerville, Cody J. Russell and Terry Joe Champion, both of Hartselle, Dustin Russell of Hulaco; a daughter, Cindy E. Parker of Decatur; two brothers, Harold Russell of Price ville and Jimmy Watts of Hartselle; two sisters, Lynda Seed of Midland, Texas and Patricia Gilbert of Hartselle; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Simmons, Cody J. Russell, Terry Joe Champion, Joseph Matthew Russell, Dustin Russell,Triston Russell and Donnie Gilbert.

Huell B. Brindley
Services for Huell B. Brindley, 83, of Birmingham will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001 at Jefferson Memorial Trussville Chapel, the Rev. James Long of First Baptist Church of Trussville officiating, with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home of Trussville is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brindley died Sunday, Dec. 23. He was a member of Huffman United Methodist Church and was in the U.S. Navy for two tours from Dec. 10, 1935 until Feb. 3, 1946. He was aboard the USS Saratoga (CV3) and was retired from Weir-Kilby.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Brindley Hogue.
Survivors include his wife, Winnie Mizell Brindley of Birmingham; two sons, Larry B. (Melina) Brindley of Griffin, Ga. and Van (Shari) Brindley of Birmingham; a sister, Florence Simmons of Birmingham; two brothers, Parker T. Brindley of Birmingham and Gary Brindley of Panama City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Lena B. Hall
Lena B. Hall, 73, of Danville died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001 at Huntsville Hospital.

Lorah Boyd Waddle
Services for Lorah Boyd Waddle, 75, of Lake Wales, Fla., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001 at Marion Nelson Funeral home of Lake Wells, the Revs. Kelly Galati, John Hodge and Earnest Hodge officiating, with burial in Lake Wells Cemetery.

Mrs. Waddle died Monday, Dec. 24 at her residence. She was born in Morgan County on April 7, 1926. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God, Frostproof. She and her husband owned James Maintenance.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Boyd.
Survivors include her husband, R.L. Waddle of Lake Wales, Fla., two daughters, Leigh Nelda Kemmitt of Huntsville, Laquetta Leal of Lake Wales, Fla.; sister, Olean Bailey of Cullman; three brothers, Tineth Boyd of Decatur, Lenis Boyd of Vinemont, L.D. Boyd of Eva; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Ethel Mae Walker
Services for Ethel Mae Walker, 88, of Holly Pond will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001, at New Home Baptist Church, the Revs. Milford Hays and Donald Floyd officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Walker died June 6 at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville. She was born Sept. 10, 1912 in Georgia to Charlie and Mary Elizabeth Lee Lambert. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Bernard Walker; and two sons, Jessie Walker and Boyce Walker.
She was the oldest member of her church.
Survivors include a son, J.T. (Evelyn) Walker of Lincoln, Ill.; two daughters, Annette Walker Bates of Vinemont and Jannette Walker (Leon) Morrow of Holly Pond; two brothers, Horace Lambert of Gadsden and Floyd Lambert of Blountsville; a sister, Leona Stone of Holly Pond; two daughters-in-law, Jenette Walker and Charlotte Walker Blankenship;14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Norman Jr. of Decatur, Dennis McClure of Hanceville; three daughters, Oppalene Standefer of South Roxana, Ill., Reba Norment of Ledbetter, Ky., Linda Ridgeway of Cullman; a brother, Hershell Hunter of Cullman; three sisters, Ester Cruse of San Jose, Calif., Bonnie Burk of Lake Wells, Fla., Gerry Kidder of Kissimie, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
