Inez Grissom ‘Granny’ Kelley
Services for Inez Grissom “Granny” Kelley, 77, of Hartselle will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2001 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, Brent Colee officiating, with burial in Bethel Baptist Cemetery near Eva.

Mrs. Kelley died Saturday, Dec. 15 at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born in Colbert County on Dec. 2, 1924 to William Z. and Laura B. Ferguson Grissom. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Richard Mark Kelley.
Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Kelley Howard, Sheila Kelley Booth, Kathi Kelley Jenkins all of Hartselle; two brothers, John David “Ham” Grissom, William Dixon “Peanut” Grissom both of Birmingham; two sisters, Mildred Grissom “Boots” Goodwin of Hartselle, Ellen Grissom Dempsey of Birmingham; five grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
William Earl Lawrence
Services for William Earl Lawrence, 58, of Hartselle will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2001 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Michael Gunter, Faron Davis, Stanley Reeves and Grad Tanner officiating, with burial in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Mr. Lawrence died Friday, Dec. 14 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Morgan County on Sept. 2, 1943 to William Hobert and Leatha Lee Lawrence. He was an engineer for Automatic Screw Machine Products, Inc. He was a member of Westside Community Church and a member of the Morgan County Cattleman’s Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Depreast Lawrence of Hartselle; son, Johnny Lawrence of Hartselle; daughter, Kim Lawrence Tanner of Hartselle; two sisters, Marie Lorance of Decatur, Dora Jean Clark of Lacey’s Spring; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Curbow, Glenn Free, Rayford Luter, Jeff McMinemon, Jim Newman, Chris Pike, Wayne Ward and Gerald Yeager. Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers and former co-workers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Addie Rodgers Sinyard
Services for Addie Rodgers Sinyard, 90, of the Trimble community will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001 at Moss Service Chapel, with burial in Shedd Cemetery.

Mrs. Sinyard died Tuesday, Dec. 4 in Franklin, Tenn. She was born Sept. 30, 1911. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Sinyard.
Survivors include two nieces, Vassie McMinn of Franklin, Tenn. and Flora Wensell of Carbon Hill; and two nephews, Roy Wooten of Crane Hill and Forrest Wooten of Naples, Fla.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Ellard Laney
Graveside services for Ellard Laney, 68, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001 at Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Laney died Monday, Dec. 3 in at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 12, 1933 to Walter and Burmie Brown Laney. He was a sawmill worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory Ellard Laney and Danny Ellard Laney; a sister, Zelma Emerson; and five grandchildren, Emily Laney, Collean Laney, Cody Laney, Shyann Laney and Mitchell Laney.
Visitation was Tuesday.
Howard Lee Posey

Mr. Posey died Sunday, Dec. 2 at his residence. He was born Aug. 21, 1928 in Cullman County to Jessie W. and Lillie Mae Snow Posey. He was a millwright for Buettner Bros.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Alice E. Blankenship Posey of Cullman; three sons, Daniel (Doris) Posey of Huntsville, Bobby (Mary) Posey and Randy (Joquitta) Posey, both of Cullman; a daughter, Marilyn (Tim) Thomas of Metamora, Mich.; a stepson, Danny (Beverly) Bates of Hartselle; three stepdaughters, Anita Hensley of Somerville, Melissa (Paul) Knighten of Bremen and Sue (John) Metcalf of Cullman; two brothers, Harold Posey and Sherman Posey, both of Margaret; two sisters, Ruth Jones of Guntersville and Sarah Buck of Springville; nine grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Worth, Texas; sister-in-law, Dorathy Reese; and one grandson, Daniel Cullpepper of Corpus Christie, Texas.

Melvin Eugene Willis

Mr. Willis died Sunday, Dec. 16 at his residence. He was born in Cullman County on Feb. 11, 1929 to David Graham and Emma Hyatt Willis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Grafton Willis; brother, Judith MacDonald.
Survivors include three brothers, Oscar (Moselle) Willis, Jerry (Christine) Willis both of Cullman, James Willis of North Carolina; and three sisters, Barbara Taylor, Della (Lyle) Absher both of Cullman, Angie Wilhite of California.
