Graveside services for Leola Bean Nicholas, 76, of Dothan will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Cullman City Cemetery, Dr. Bill Burkett officiating.

Mrs. Nicholas died Saturday, July 6 at West Side Terrace in Dothan. She was an administrative assistant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert W. and Ollie Heard Bean. She was born in Cullman and lived in the Cullman area until 1958 when she moved to Dothan with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Lane Nicholas (Roy Carson Jr.) Pettis of Springfield, Va.; two brothers, Clarence Bean of Eustis, Fla. and R.W. Bean Jr. of Aiken, S.C.
No visitation is planned.
Joyce S. Kirk
Services for Joyce S. Kirk, 66, of Birmingham will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, Stan Prewett officiating, with burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Kirk died Saturday, July 13 at her residence. She was born in Alabama on Feb. 2, 1936 to Jiles W. and Mary Hudson Shelton. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, James C. Kirk of Birmingham; three daughters, Cecilia Kirk and Janice Blanton, both of Birmingham, and Teresa Smith of Arley; a brother, Howard Shelton; three sisters, Juanita Foote, Hazel Adams and Lucy Chamberlain; and three grandchildren, Rachel Blanton, Eric Smith and Wade Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Medical Center East Hospice, 7916 Second Ave. South, Birmingham 35206 or to the American Cancer Society.

Services for Charles Nathaniel Moore, infant, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church, David Stancil officiating, with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

He died Saturday, July 13, 2002 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born that same day.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Douglas Twilley, Charles Moore, Lubbie Smith, John Holmes and Belton Stancil.
Survivors include his parents, Tony Moore and Amanda Twilley; two grandmothers, Anita Twilley and Nancy Moore; five great-grandparents, Beatric Stancil, Jimmy Twilley, Ezell Twilley, Ivalee Holmes and Paul Smith; nine aunts and uncles, Leon and Christy Price, Annie Berryhill, Donald Wood, Tracy Milby, Kenny Moore, Kevin and Melissa Hyde, and Amy Armstrong; and 10 cousins.

Services for Edison C. Alexander, 93, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Tommy Graves officiating, with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mr. Alexander died Monday, July 15 at Cullman Long Term Care. He was born Feb. 21, 1909 in Winston County to Christopher Columbus and Emma Heatherly Alexander. He was a farmer and carpenter. He was a 50 year member of the Cullman Masonic Lodge No. 421, a member of the Trimble Lodge, the Eastern Star, and the Johnson Grove Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Addie Cruce Alexander; a sister, Christine Oden; a half-sister, Peggy Dunn; and a half-brother, G.M. Dunn.
Survivors include a son, E.D. (Jean) Alexander of Cullman; two grandchildren, Connie (Kelley) Baker of Cullman and Christopher (Nancy) Alexander of Chipley, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren, Shaletia Sticker and Myra Turner of Cullman, and Sydney Alexander of Chipley, Fla.

Services for Kenneth Le Royce Bean Sr., 65, of Cullman will be Friday, July 19, 2002 at Pat Riley Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas, with burial in Hooks Cemetery in Koontz, Texas.

He died Monday, July 15 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 2, 1937 in Point Arthur, Texas. He was an assembly operator at Greif Brothers. He was a member of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Elvie Swerigan Bean; and his sister, Joanne Bean.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Jean Bean of Cullman; four sons, Craig Bean of Lake Charles, La., Kenneth “Kenny” Bean Jr. of Grapevine, Texas, Phil Bergeron of Houston, Texas, and Barry Bergeron of Dayton, Texas; four daughters, Cheri Read and Laurie Solkerson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Natalie Chance of Fred, Texas, and Selina Fulghum of Crosby, Texas; seven brothers; one sister; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday in Texas.

Mr. Pope died Sunday, July 14, 2002 at his residence. He was born in Ragland on Oct. 20, 1931 to Frank and Ozella Kelley Pope. He was a laborer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Basinger Pope of Hanceville; two sons, Donald (Sherri) Pope of Hanceville and Fred Jr. (Cindy) Pope of Cullman; a brother, Paul Pope of Bishopville, S.C.; a half-sister, Carolyn Walker of Cullman; four grandchildren, Freda Blanton, Adam Pope, Amy Pope, and Jeremy Pope; and one great-grandson, Jaythan Blanton.

Survivors include two sons, George Buchanan, James (Colleen) Buchanan both of Cullman; daughter, Brenda B. (Steve) Flora of Harvest; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services for James Gordon, 69, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Robert Morgan officiating, with entombment in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mr. Gordon died Monday, July 15 at Cullman Long Term Care. He was born May 7, 1933 in Cullman County to John and Selma Davis Gordon. He was a welder for General Motors.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Wood Gordon of Vinemont; two sons, James Gordon and Marty Gordon; a step-son, Mikel Hamblin; a daughter, Donnette Sue Gordon; a step-daughter, Tracey Hamblin; a brother, E.C. Gordon, all of Michigan; a sister, Margaret Dee of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Livingston died Tuesday, July 16 at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born in Morgan County on March 13, 1910 to Miles Gregory and Ella Holmes Livingston. He was retired from Continental Telephone Company where he worked in maintenance. He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and was a farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Wanza Walling Livingston of Hartselle; three sons, Ronald Livingson of Hartselle, Donald Livingson of Price ville, Monte Livingson of Eva; daughter, Beverly Murphy of Hartselle; three sisters, Freda Livingston, Priscilla Parsons, Rubel Bennett all of Filer, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Services for Lola M. Ingram Moreman, 90, of Edgerton, Wis. were Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Mukwonago Baptist Church in Mukwonago, Wis., with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Moreman died Tuesday, July 16 in Edgerton, Wis. She was born in Athens on March 8, 1912.
Survivors include her husband, Ellington Moreman; a son, Charles (Donna) Hatchett; a step-daughter, Ann (Don) Monroe; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
