Services for Clifford A. Tucker, 88, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, the Rev. Jack Collins officiating, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.

Mr. Tucker died Thursday, Aug. 1 at Woodland Village Health Care. He was born Oct. 31, 1913 to Willie and Cora Hames Tucker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the European Theater for three years during World War II, was a member of North Side Baptist Church, and worked in the U.S. Postal Service for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Melvin Tucker.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Manning Tucker of Cullman; two sons, Johnny (Carol Robinson) Tucker of Elkmont and Steve Tucker (Dr. Cindy Tucker) Tucker of Palm Harbor, Fla., two brothers, Cecil Tucker of Tuscaloosa and Robert Tucker of Cullman; and three grandchildren, Kristi Tucker of Los Angeles, Calif., Lara Tucker and Aric Tucker of both Palm Harbor, Fla.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today.
Jessie William James
Graveside services for Jessie William James, 31, of Empire will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2002 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mr. James died Wednesday July 31 in Empire. He was born in Jefferson County on Dec. 13, 1970 to J.C. and Elizabeth James. He worked for Tommy Bagwell Farms.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Henderson James.
Survivors include his father, J.C. (Elizabeth) James; his grandmother, Ruth James; two brothers, Jeffery James of Empire and Jimmy (Katrina) James of Cullman; three sisters, Angela (Dewayne) Armstrong of Cullman, Wanda (James) Gibson of Blountsville, Christy Pugh of Brookside.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
William Bryant Peregoy
William Bryant Peregoy, 74, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 at his residence.
The time and date of his memorial service will be announced by Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Peregoy was born in Anne Randel County, Md. on May 8, 1928. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Wilson Peregoy, two sons, David L. (Laura) Ransom of Hartselle, Darin (Leah) Ransom of Cullman; daughter, Denise (Dale) Smith of Cullman; and five grandchildren, Joshua “Smitty” Smith, Bryant “Bubba” Ransom, Jesse Ransom, Brittany Dee Ransom, Jacob Ransom.
Isaac Columbus ‘I.C.’ Priest Jr.
Services for Isaac Columbus “I.C.” Priest Jr., 81, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002 at St. Johns Evangelical Protestant Church, Bill Burkett, Dr. Nielsen and Bob Kurtz officiating, with burial in Cullman Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Priest died Friday, Aug. 2 at St. Vincents Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Jefferson County on May 31, 1921 to Isaac Columbus Sr. and Sarah Helen Webb Priest. He was a retired auto body shop owner and instructor at Wallace State College.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rhonda Priest; greatson, Dylan Anderson; brothers, Edward Priest, Howard Cosper; and sisters, Eleanor Dean Screws, Lucille Tomlinson.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Elene Priest; son, Marlin (Nan) Priest of Hoover; four daughters, Linda (Bill) Schgier, Connie (Don E.) Hale both of Cullman, Brenda Branch of Hoover, Sharyne (Al) Wallace of Birmingham; three brothers, Gilbert Cosper, Hershel Cosper, Jessie Cosper; three sisters, Helen Brock, Bessie Brock, Kathryn Tucker; nine grandchildren, Dee Park, Andrea Anderson, Todd Branch, Dr. Health Hale, Dr. Wendy Christiansen, Justin Hale, Callie Priest, Mera Priest, Kimberly Wallace; and five great-grandchildren, Drave Trevan, Daly Anderson, Austin Nelson and Carson and Amelia Park.

Services for Edna Ruth Burns, 67, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2002 at Northside Baptist Church, the Revs. Etsel Riddle, Jack Collins and Paul Hicks officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Burns died Friday, Aug. 2 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born March 30, 1935 to Earnest and Nodie Smith Fowler. She was a sales clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Junior Fowler; and sister, Evelyn Whitworth.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Burns of Cullman; daughter, Theresa Burns of Cullman; brother, Clomer Fowler of Mississippi; sister, Brenda Bottoms of Chelsea; nine nieces; and six nephews.

Mr. Harris died Friday, Aug. 2 at his residence. He was born July 24, 1954. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Harris; and his father, Raymond F. Harris.
Survivors include three step-daughters, Kim (David) Kelso, Mendy Posey, Geneva Posey all of Hanceville; mother, Helen Louise Harris of Cullman; six grandchildren, and special caregiver and uncle, Robert Harris.

Services for Burlin Harbin, 72, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2002 at New Home Baptist Church, Milford Hayes and Junior Berry officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Harbin died Friday, Aug. 2 at his residence. He was born in Madison County on Oct. 10, 1929 to Conrad and Emma Jane McCormick Harbin. He was a farmer and operated a fruit stand at the Four Way Stop at the intersection of Alabama highways 67 and 69.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Harbin of Cullman; three daughters, Faye Seay, Patty Lang both of Albertville, Peggy McCowen of Arab; four sons, Kenneth Harbin, Junior Harbin both of Arab, Earnie Harbin of Fairview, Norman Harbin of Holly Pond; brother, Dalcomb Harbin of Guntersville; three sisters, Florence Chandler of Albertville, Billy Jean Kinney of Arab, Betty Faye Howell of Forrest Park, Ga.; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pruett died Monday, Aug. 5 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 9, 1936 in Cullman to Harvey Henry and Mary Ethel Stinson Bryant. She was a homemaker and seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Marlin Pruett.
Survivors include a son, Danny Pruett of Cullman; a daughter, Donna (Dennis) Harbison of Cullman; two brothers, Harvey Junior (Catherine) Bryant of Sommerville and Frankie Joe (Sharon) Bryant of Massey; two grandchildren, Travis and Tyler Harbison; two nephews, Larry and Joey Bryant; and a niece, Linda McKenny.

Mrs. Hill died Tuesday, Aug. 6 at her residence. She was born July 25, 1933 to Emmitt and Annie Baldwin Beasley. She was a homemaker and a member of Inner Peace Tabernacle.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Cavendar and Tony (Violet) Hill of Falkville; eight daughters, Gloria (Jerry) Lacey, Renata (Mickey) Boger, Kim (Rickey) Irvin, Jonnie (James) Garrison and Nikki Hill, all of Falkville, Tabatha Hill of Toney, Alisa (Wayne) Hill of Cullman and Teresa (David) Duckworth of Hartselle; a brother, Ottis Beasley of Southfork, Fla.; three sisters, Maxine Taylor, Janice Barbee both of Cullman, Allene Trussell of Addison; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Moody died Monday, Aug. 5 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born Dec. 16, 1914 in Alabama to Chaney and Dicie Oden Pitts. She was a seamstress and worked in textiles.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Jean Roberson; a brother, Amuel Pitts; two grandchildren, Charles Richard “Rick” Roberson and Terrie Renee Abt; and two great-grandchildren, Roberson “Robbie” James Abt and Katie Renee Abt.

Mr. Hogan died Monday, Aug. 5 in Birmingham. He was born Feb. 6, 1925 in Jefferson County to Lawrence S. Hogan Sr. and Lydia Blizzard. He was the former owner of Buck’s Truck Stop.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Hogan of Hanceville; two daughters, Stacey Hogan of Jasper and Tonja Jenkins of Cullman; a son, Chris (Mary) Jackson of Hanceville; a step-daughter, Sandra Rice of Quinntown; a sister, Helen (Edward) Yarbrough of Hayden; and four grandchildren, Jude Campbell, Courtney Jackson, D.J.
