Services for Edith Perkins Shaddix, 75, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, Buddy Perkins and Barbara Trussell officiating, with burial in Duck River Cemetery.

Mrs. Shaddix died Friday, Aug. 9 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cullman County on Feb. 17, 1927 to Leonard and Cora Perkins. She was a retired restaurant owner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Shaddix; and two brothers, Earl Perkins, Herman Perkins.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Shaddix of Leeds.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Gardner, Ronald Perkins, Jeff Shikles, Tommy Shaddix, David Shaddix, Jason Dunagan. Honorary pallbearers will be Debbie Morris Shikles, Deborah Scott Phillips, JoAnn Miller Edwards.
Visitation was Saturday.
Leldon Bradford
Services for Leldon Bradford, 82, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Scott Oatsvall officiating, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.

Mr. Bradford died Monday, Aug. 12 at his residence. He was born in Blount County on June 24, 1920 to D.B. and Martha Cox Bradford. He was a grocery store owner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Jerry Bradford.
Survivors include his wife, Clemmie Freeman Bradford of Hanceville; son, Gary Bradford of Odessa, Texas; brother, Everett Bradford of Blount Springs; three sisters, Mattie Ruth Henderson of Hanceville, Evelyn Bright of Smyrna, Tenn., Dorothy Smith of Birmingham; five grandchildren, Carla Spann, Dustin Bradford both of Arab, Justin Bradford, Faith Bradford both of Blountsville, Kaylee Bradford of Odessa, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Kaleb Spann, Justice Bullard, Tyer Bradford.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
David Elbert Hale
Services for David Elbert Hale, 86, of White Oak were held Monday, Aug. 12, 2002 at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. Randall Edmondson officiating, with burial in White Oak Cemetery.

Mr. Hale died Saturday, Aug. 10 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cullman County on March 11, 1916 to William Clifford and Julia Etta Crider Hale. He was a farmer and served as a deacon at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Mae Tucker Hale of White Oak; three sons, Wiley Dual (Vertis) Hale, Ronnie (Loudell) Hale, Eugene (Janice) Hale all of White Oak; four brothers, George Hale of Tennessee, Buel Hale of Cullman, Marvin Hale of Decatur, Fred Hale of Gardendale; two sisters, Eddith Lee Hassett of Vincent, Eva Mae Law of Mt. Olive; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Floy Parker
Services for Floy Parker, 88, of Logan will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002 at Logan Baptist Church, Kenneth Wren and Randy Sellers officiating, with Masonic graveside service at Logan Cemetery. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the service.

Mr. Parker died Sunday, Aug. 11 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Alabama on Aug. 24, 1913 to Olen and Willie C. Bryant Parker. Hew was a farmer. He was a deacon at Logan Baptist Church for 58 years and choir director for 40 years. He was a member of the Logan Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Mae Duke Parker; three daughters, Betty Rae (Bobby) Wren, Myra Fave (Jerry) Lee, Bertha Wynona (Jerry) Woodard; brother, Raymond Parker; nine grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today.
Mary Ford Hyde
Services for Mary Ford Hyde, 92, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, Alan Yeater officiating, with burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Mrs. Hyde died Saturday, Aug. 10 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1910 in Morgan County to Walter Franklin and Mary Annie Cobbs Ford. She was a long-time employee of Bonds Store and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar Ervin Hyde; a daughter, Norma Sue Martin; an infant daughter; an infant son; a grandson, Eddie Hyde; three sisters, Pearl Hawkins, Myrtis Hollaway and Sarah Hollis; and four brothers, Thurman Ford, Prince Ford, Garvis Ford, and Robert Ford.
Survivors include three sons, Oscar Hyde of Birmingham, Odean E. (Rebecca Sue) Hyde of Hueytown, Jack R. Hyde of Merritt Island, Fla.; a daughter, Glenda (Newman) McClellan of Cullman; a brother, J. D. Ford of Michigan; two sisters, Flossie Holmes of Morgan County and Jewel Hollaway of Cullman; 13 grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation was Monday.
Dakota Ray Leak
Funeral services for Dakota Ray Leak, 6 weeks, of Holly Pond were Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002 at Brooklyn Presbyterian Church, Johnny Waldrop officiating, with burial in Brooklyn Cemetery.

He died Tuesday, Aug. 13 at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Jefferson County on July 2, 2002 to Bobby Ray and Amanda Charlene Sivils Leak.
Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Glenn Leak and Richard Sivils of Arab, Jeannie and Harold Teaster of Northport, Ricky and Judy Thomas of Holly Pond; and great-grandparents, Curt and Earlene Thomas of Holly Pond and Betty Sivils of Arab.

Veonia Unice Fowler

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Ann Lilje and Patricia Ann George; a son, B.C. Fowler; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Scott died Thursday, Aug. 15 at his residence. He was born June 29, 1949 in Cullman to Jack and Edith Amos Scott. He was a machine operator for Loparex and was a member of Redan Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Kimbril Scott of Holly Pond; a son, Craig (Belinda) Scott of Glencoe; a daughter, Bridget (Michael) Chambers of Holly Pond; a brother, Ronnie (Sheila) Scott; three sisters, Gail (Jim) Holcombe of Holly Pond, Pat (Aaron) Johnson of Gadsden, Lynn Tankersley of Birmingham; his mother, Edith Scott of Holly Pond; and six grandchildren, Corey, Erica and Tyler Chambers, Isiah, Jeremiah and Lydia Scott.
John Christopher ‘Chris’ Bush
Graveside services for John Christopher “Chris” Bush, 36, of Hartselle will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002 at Cullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Bush died Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Jan. 27, 1966 in Cullman to Elvin Henry Jr. and Johnny Diane Teichmiller Bush.
Survivors include his parents; his grandparents, John and Dorothy Teichmiller of Cullman; and a brother, Elvin Henry “Hank” Bush III of Hartselle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Angel Fund at North Alabama Cat and Bird Clinic in Hartselle.
