Velma Lee Warren
Services for Velma Lee Warren, 86, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001 at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Clatus Nesmith officiating, with burial in New Hope No. 2 Cemetery.

Mr. Warren died Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Woodland Medical Center. He was born in Etowah County on Aug. 27, 1915 to Roland R. and Sara Jane Pullen Warren. He was a farmer. He was a life-time singer and teacher of gospel music in the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Little Warren of Cullman; and a sister, Lola Windsor of Ft. Payne.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today.
Ola M. P. Roebuck
Services for Ola M. P. Roebuck, 84, a long-time resident of Center Point and Huffman, were held Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001 at Ridout’s Roebuck Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
Ridout’s Roebuck Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Roebuck died Saturday, Dec. 15. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and a member of the Sunshine Club. She was a retired cashier and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William L. Pruden and James G. Roebuck; her parents, Wiley Homer and Dora Bean Pike of Cullman; two brothers, Clifford A. Pike, Robert A. Pike; and a sister, Lucy M. Boyd.
Survivors include four sisters, Alline Chandler of Stafford, Va., Dessie Sanders of Athens, Ga., Charlsie (Willis) Hill of Cullman, Mamie (Dave) Humphrey of Vinemont; 18 nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Mary Pike, Iris Pike; and one brother-in-law, Edward Boyd.
Margaret ‘Maggie’ Fromhold
Services for Margaret “Maggie” Fromhold, 71, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fr. Kevin McGrath officiating, with burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fromhold died Saturday, Dec. 15 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1930 to Lee Frances and Louise Barker Schlosser. She was a bookkeeper and she also worked for over 20 years with the auxiliary at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John W. Fromhold Jr.; and her brother, Fred “Buddy” Schlosser.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Rita) Fromhold of Cullman; a daughter, Patricia (Terry) Hogeland of Bremen; a sister-in-law, Florentine Schlosser of California; a sister, Mary Louise Hyatt of Moulton; four grandchildren, Magan Fromhold, Kayla Fromhold, Tyler Hogeland and Kelly Hogeland; and special friend, Glenda Watts.
A rosary was given Monday.

Millard Ellis Brandon
Services for Millard Ellis Brandon, 69, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001 at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel, Tim Stringfellow officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Brandon died Sunday, Dec. 16 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 8, 1932 to T.M. “Bud” and Bermer Haynes Brandon. He was a retired sales rep for General Mills. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a graduate of the University of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Wayne D. Brandon.
Pallbearers will be Cary Bennett, Dwight Bennett, Bill Griffin, Tom Smith, Joe Aldy, Asa Brandon.
Visitation was Monday.
Maybelle Amanda Baker
Services for Maybelle Amanda Baker, 95, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Sherman Bailey officiating, with burial in Duck River Cemetery.

Mrs. Baker died Sunday, Dec. 16 at Cullman Long Term Care. She was born in Cullman County on Feb. 25, 1906 to David Lee and Carrie Cadelia Burnett Batemon. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Cecil Clyde Baker; and her husband, William Floyd Baker.
Survivors include five sons, Charles (Betty J.) Baker of Hanceville; Gleen (Fay) Baker, James H. (Sybil) Baker, Jerry W. (Brenda) Baker, all of Walter, and William R. (Madgie) Baker of Gardendale; a daughter, Nelda (Jim) Grantham of Walter; a brother, Shuford Batemon of Durant, Okla.; a sister, Gaynell Bergeron of Houma, La.; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Glenda Chapman
Services for Glenda Chapman, 64, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Keith Gambill officiating, with burial in Garden City Cemetery.

Mrs. Chapman died Sunday, Dec. 16 at her residence. She was born in Garden City on Nov. 24, 1937 to A. Burnell and Ruby Kelley Hopper. She was a long-time antique dealer and a member of Garden City First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie (Greg) Hancock of Hanceville; two sisters, Jimmie Rolin of Falkville, Leneta (Doug) Pender of Garden City; and five grandchildren, Christopher Michael Howell, Jacob Paul Howell, Haley Jenice Howell, Sera Alana Hancock, Dori Marie Hancock all of Hanceville.
Calvin Eugene Hall
Services for Calvin Eugene Hall, 75, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001 at Fairview Baptist Church, the Rev. Jerome Fields and Hiran Avery officiating, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Hall died Thursday, Dec. 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cullman on Jan. 17, 1926 to Albert and Mary Hall. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Bradford and Annette (Lawrence) Flanigan, both of Hanceville; a son, Calvin Eugene Hall Jr. of Guntersville; a sister, Odie Bell (Levi) Wade of Hanceville; his great-grandmother, Hattie Foster of Hanceville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Elsie Brinkley Clinard
Services for Elsie Brinkley Clinard, 83, of Old Hickory, Tenn., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001 at Nichols Funeral Home, Addison, with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Ms. Clinard died Saturday, Dec. 15 at her residence.

Darrell E. Gill
Services for Darrell E. Gill, 70, of Muncie, Ind. will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001 at Avondale United Methodist Church, Ron Johnson and Keith Davis officiating, with burial in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Meeks Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gill died Saturday at the Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Muncie to Ralph and Beatrice Shipley Gill. He graduated from Muncie Central High School and received his bachelor and master degrees from Ball State University. He taught as Stevenson Elementary and later served as principal there. He also served as principal at Grissom Memorial Elementary and Mitchell Elementary. His memberships include the Avondale Methodist Church, where he served as treasurer, was on the finance committee, taught Sunday school, served as trustee and worked on many committees and special projects; the Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity; Muncie Elementary Principals Association; Muncie Bowling Association; was inducted into the Muncie Bowling Association Hall of Fame and the Delaware County Hall of Fame. Mr. Gill was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Ammon; and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Pearle Harless Gill; one son, Darrin (Tammie) Gill; one daughter, Debby (Hal) Graves; one brother, Rollin (Marjorie) Gill; two sisters, Rosalind Gill Blocher (John) Casey and Bonnie Gill Green ; and four grandchildren, Sacha M. Gill, Devin E. Gill, Bradley Graves, Julie Graves.
