Mrs. King died Monday, Aug. 5. She was retired from Loreman’s Dept. Store after 37 years and was a member of East Lake United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda K. (Leland) Corn; three grandchildren, Randy Green, Jeffrey Green, Leland Corn; four great-grandchildren, all of Birmingham; and a sister, Vivian Hamilton of Hanceville.
Ruby Lucille Chappell Bomar
Funeral Services for Ruby Lucille Chappell Bomar, 71, of Hartselle will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Herbert Smith and Dallas Johnson officiating, with burial in Center Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Bomar died Monday, Aug. 19 at her residence. She was born in Jones County, Miss., on April 13, 1931 to O.B. and Ollie Mae Cecil Chappell. She was a seamstress and a member of Jesus Name Church - Barnetts Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Lanny and Danny Bomar; and eight brothers and sisters, Stanley Chappell, Don Chappell, Jimmy Chappell, OB Chappell, Millage Chappell, Myrtis Smith, Lizzie Chappell, Leona Brown.
Survivors include her husband, Milton Bomar of Hartselle; six daughters, Loretta Swords of Cullman, Shirley Reeves, Dianne Dumas both of Hartselle, Donna Bomar of Eva, Myra Mayfield, Dana Ferguson both of Falkville; one brother, Ronnie Chappell of Falkville; three sisters, Ella Dean, Ponnie Maze both of Hartselle, Louise Smith of Cullman; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Reeves, Jeremy Reeves, Shane Dumas, Jason Dumas, Tim Taylor, Craig Riddle.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Carol Ann Harding
Graveside services for Carol Ann Harding, 55, of Vinemont will be at noon Friday, Aug. 23, 2002 at Central Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Harding died Tuesday, Aug. 20 at her residence. She was born Nov. 8, 1946 in West Virginia to Ballard and Norma C. Spencer Cogar. She was a cook for a restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Al Harding; four nieces, Heather Smith, Jessica Martin, Julie Martin, and Nicole Smith; and a nephew, Tyler Smith.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
William W. Cheatwood
Graveside services for William W. Cheatwood of Cullman will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 at Baldwin Heights Baptist Church Cemetery, the Rev. Marvin Brock officiating.

Mr. Cheatwood died Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Baptist Medical Center - Montclair. He was born in Cullman County on Feb. 5, 1931 to Felton and Aurella Cheatwood. He was a retired claims investigator for the state of Alabama. He was a member of the Army and the National Guard for 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Cranston Cheatwood, Wayne Cheatwood and Bill Cheatwood.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Rowell Cheatwood of Cullman; a daughter, Jan (Ricky) Grissom of Cullman; a brother, Rudy (Linda) Cheatwood of Vinemont; two sisters, Mildred Spear and Shirley Judkins of Cullman; and a granddaughter, Julie Grissom.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
Willie Dwight Harris
Funeral services for Willie Dwight Harris, 49, of Geneva, Ill. will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at Mill Creek Baptist Church, the Rev. David Hale officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Falkville. The body will lie in state at the church from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Harris died Friday, Aug. 16, at Delnor Community Hospital. He was born April 14, 1953 in Cullman to Leonard and Eva Smith Harris. He was a member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama and was a participant in Native American Dancing for the tribe. His tribal name was White Cloud.
He was employed at American Eagle Airlines at O’Hare Airport for 13 years. He started Local No. 571 Union and was president of the union for many years. While living in Chicago and Wood Dale he worked as a paramedic in Schiller Park for 10 years. In 1997 he was invited to attend the inauguration of President Clinton in Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a sister, Sue (Richard) Forbes of Geneva, Ill.; 10 nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Agnes Lavada Posey
Funeral services for Agnes Lavada Posey, 87, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Vernon Willis officiating, with burial in Emeus Cemetery.

Mrs. Posey died Thursday, Aug. 22 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born on July 11, 1915 in Cullman to James Allen and Rhoda Linear Sims. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Odes F. Posey; her grandson, Justin Posey; four brothers, Levi Sims, Miles Sims, Henry Sims, and Albert Sims; three sisters, Myrtle Pearson, Maybelle McTyre and Minnie Easterwood; and three infant siblings.
Survivors include two sons, Sammie (Rosalind) Posey of Powder Springs, Ga. and Stanley (Cindy) Posey of Cullman; three daughters, Jane (Tony) Sellers, Alinda (Danny) Perdue and Betty (Tim) Gregory of Cullman; two sisters, Gladys England of Cullman and Adell Dotson of Dacula, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Annette Ponder, Kim Still, Cassie Condra, Jennifer Posey, Jarrett Perdue, Joseph Perdue, Amanda Posey, Allison Gregory, and Leslie Gregory; and five great-grandchildren.

She died Wednesday, Aug. 21 at Medical Center East Birmingham. She was a resident of Pell City for nine years and lived most of her life in Holly Pond. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Kitty Tadlock McCay; her husband, William Stanley Bullard; and a sister, Lillie Bell McCay Hill.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou (James) Nelson of Brooksville, Fla. and Dorice Wilkerson of Pell City; two sisters, Dorothy Hill of Holly Pond and Gladys Vaughn of Chalkville; a brother, J.S. (Betty) McCay of Canton, Miss.; four grandchildren, Tommy Dewayne White of Brooksville, Fla., Bobbie Moore of Inverness, Brian Endfinger of Phoenix City, and Mary Ann Nelson of Birmingham; six great-grandchildren, Melinda Chrystie, Matt White, Chris Phillips, Michael Phillips, Emily Endfinger, and Alex Endfinger; and three great-grandchildren, Summer Buchanan, Jordan Chrystie and Mattaha White.

Mrs. Gray died Monday, Aug. 19 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. She was born in Cullman County to L. Dewitt and Annie Leola Dorrough Howell. She was a retired seamstress for K and D Industries at Blountsville and a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray V. Gray; and her son, Glenn Ray Gray.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Kimberly Ann (Michael) Lanzillotti of Thompson’s Station, Tenn.; a grandson, Glenn Russell (Suzanne) Gray of Tuscaloosa; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann “Patsy” Gray of Tuscaloosa.

Mr. Fowler died Friday, Aug. 23 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cullman County on March 9, 1939. He was a retired construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Robert Fowler.
Survivors include his mother, Nettie Louise Fowler; son, Gary (Janice) Lane of Albertville; brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Fowler of Hanceville; four sisters, Rachel Briscoe, Betty Joyce Fowler, Gaynell Parker all of Cullman, Regina Black of Jackson; brother-in-law, Leon Briscoe of Hanceville; two grandsons, Bradley Lane, Brandon Lane; one granddaughter, Misty Reno; and two great-grandchildren, Allison Reno and Deqlyn Lane.
