Funeral services for Eura Smith, 89, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002 at Center Hill Baptist Church, the Rev. Bobby Crawford officiating, with burial in Center Hill Cemetery in Hanceville.

Mrs. Smith died Thursday, Sept. 19 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born July 10, 1913 in Morgan County to Glover and Pearl Johnson. She was a machine operator for Cullman Lingerie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Elbert Smith.
She is survived by three sisters, Fay Cotton of Birmingham, Marcille Strang of Hanceville, and Elloween Webb of Cullman.
Visitation was Friday.
Pauline Elizabeth Ratterree
Graveside services for Pauline Elizabeth Ratterree, 79, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002 at Cullman Memory Gardens, Gary Sartain officiating.

Mrs. Ratterree died Thursday, Sept. 19 at her residence. She was born July 6, 1923 in Arkansas to Henry Earl and Elle Pearl Mahurine Knepper. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Roy Van Ratterree.
Survivors include six sons, Frederick Henson of Arizona, Gene (JoAnn) Henson of Trafford, John E. Henson of Nevada, Paul W. Henson of Culman, Jerome (Dennie) Henson of California, and Bill (Denise) Ratterree of Florida; three daughters, Mary J. (Glenn) Gilley of Cullman, Betty Forbito of Oregon and Janette Henson of Nevada; a brother, Fred (Nita) Knepper of Lineville; a sister, Edith (James) Mallacove of California; 28 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Robert Henderson Mathews
Funeral services for Robert Henderson Mathews, 86, of Cullman will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Phillip Young and Bill Prickett officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Mathews died Friday, Sept. 20 at Gardendale Nursing Home. He was born Jan. 13, 1916 in Littleton to Robert Henry and Ada Virginia Saylors Mathews. He was a postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include three nieces, Susan (Johnny) Dollar of Gardendale, Charlene (Gary) Smith of Decatur and Francis (Don) Williamson of Cullman; and three nephews, Dale Tidwell, Jim (Susan) Tidwell and Robert (Ruden) Tidwell, all of Cullman.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Clifford J. Shoemaker
Graveside services for Clifford J. Shoemaker, 81, of Sunnyhills, Fla. were Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 at Flint Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Vinemont.
Brown Funeral Home of Chipley, Fla. was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shoemaker died Wednesday, Sept. 11 at his residence. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Elks and Amvets.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Shoemaker of Sunnyhills, Fla., two brothers, Ron Shoemaker and Les Shoemaker, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and a sister, and Mert Van Rhee of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Charles E. Junkins
Funeral services for Charles E. Junkins, 55, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. John Jankins officiating, with burial in Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Junkins died Friday, Sept. 20 in Birmingham. He was born in Cullman on Oct. 23, 1946 to Hezzie Evon and Winnie Athalee Speegle Junkins. He was a former manager for Animal Health and Vet Supply as well as Brock Milling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Wayne Junkins.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Junkins of Cullman; two sons, Terry (Jenny) Junkins, Tommy (Shauna) Junkins both of Cullman; two brothers, Dennis (Linda) Junkins of Warrior, Kenneth (Brenda) Junkins of Sommerville; sister, Sandra Tucker of Hartselle; and sister-in-law, Becky Junkins of Cullman.
Visitation was held Saturday.
Daisy Millwood Gunter
Funeral services for Daisy Millwood Gunter, 87, of Blountsville will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at Calvary Baptist Church near Blountsville, Clatus NeSmith, Johnny Hudson, Jimmy Wadsworth and Drennen Alldredge officiating, with burial in Rock Springs Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Gunter died Saturday, Sept. 21 at Beverly HealthCare in Oneonta. She was born in Blount County to John Franklin and Margie Mead Millwood. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Lillie Mae Privett.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Edward Gunter of Rock Springs; daughter, Peggy Gunter of Oneonta; two brothers, Tilman Millwood of Rock Springs, Clifford Millwood of Holly Pond; four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Betty Chambers Key
Funeral services for Betty Chambers Key, 62, of Danville were Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at Mt.Vernon Primitive Baptist Church, Guy Hunt and Darrel Chambers officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Key died Saturday, Sept. 21 at her residence. She was born Aug. 27, 1940 in Cullman County to Homer Lee and Mettie Talley Chambers. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Billy Chambers and Pat Chambers.
Survivors include her husband, Martin Key of Danville; a son, Greg Key of Arab; two daughters, Julie Johnson of Moulton and Angela Egli of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Hulen Chambers of Huntsville; a sister, Helen Hunt of Holly Pond; and two grandsons, Chase Egli and Cody Key.

Barbara Elizabeth Federer
Funeral services for Barbara Elizabeth Federer, 70, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Ray Latham officiating, with burial in Mt. Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Federer died Sunday, Sept. 22 at her residence. She was born June 30, 1932 in Warrington, Va. to John and Mary Taylor Shifflett. She was a processing line worker at Golden Rod Broilers. She was one of 16 children and the only surviving sibling is Mary Watts of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 14 brothers and sisters; and her husband, Melvin J. Hines.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Hines of Hanceville and Roger (Michelle) Hines of Dodge City; a step-son, Jerry Lee Federer Jr. of Birmingham; two daughters, Linda (Gary) Collins of Texas and Mary Winfrey of Hanceville; two step-daughters, Bonnie Beck and Sharon Federer of Birmingham; a sister, Mary Watts of Florida; eight grandchildren, Bobbie Mosley, Tammy Mosley, Phillip Ray Jr., Adam Ray, Tonia Winfrey, Cherra Hines, Joshua Beck and Paul Hines; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday.

Dutha M. Martin
Funeral services for Dutha M. Martin, 77, of Boaz will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at Blountsville Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rock Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin died Monday, Sept. 23 at Medical Center East Hospital in Oneonta. She was born in Alabama to John Ligon and Willard Neal Craft. She was retired after working at Dwight Mills, as an insurance agent for Independent Life and Accident Ins. Co., and at Fant’s Department Store in Guntersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Edgar Martin of Boaz; son, Glen (Jan) Nelson of Gadsden; sister, Mary (Carl) Alldredge of Blountsville; granddaughter, Larissa (Jeff) Bockenek; grandson, Michael (Melanie) Nelson; and five great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Jessica and Benjamin Bockenek and Dalton and Madison Nelson.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
