Funeral services for Anthony Childers, 48, of Falkville will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002 at Peck Funeral Home, the Rev. Keith Whitley officiating, with burial in Cook Cemetery.

Mr. Childers died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002 in Fulton County, Ga. He was born in Morgan County on Oct. 8, 1954 to Brady and Vanell Turney Childers. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Cullman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Steven Lynn Childers and Greg Childers; and one sister, Suzanne Childers.
Survivors include his wife, Selena Childers of Falkville; a son, Joseph Myles Childers of Falkville; a daughter, Felisha Vanell Childers of Falkville; a brother, Johnny “Keith” Childers of Hartselle; a half-brother, Lewis Childers of Sanford, Fla., and two half-sisters, Betty Eastham and Dorothy Childers of Florida.
Pallbearers will be Terry Henderson, Randy Childers, Johnny Childers, Connie Walling, Rev. Steve Smith and Ray Miller.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Treecie Viola Thompson
Funeral services for Treecie Viola Thompson, 82, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002 at Northside Baptist Church, Etsel Riddle and Jack Collins officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Thompson died Monday, Dec. 9 at her residence. She was born Feb. 4, 1920 in Cullman County to William Abbie and Alice Smith White. She was a homemaker and a member of Walter Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Henry Thompson; two brothers, Ted White and Roy White; and three sisters, Eunice Rowell, Dorothy Baker and Eula Key.
Survivors include two sons, Harlon “Stanuel” (Joan M.) Thompson of Hanceville and Athel “Ted” (Janice L.) Thompson of Cullman; four daughters, Joyce (Doug) O’Brien, Glenda (Lester) Duncan, Charlotte (Wilbur) Miller and Imogene (Larry) Galin of Cullman; a brother, Raymond (Dollie) White of Winston County; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Thompson of North Carolina, Evelyn Thompson of Columbia, Tenn. and Edna Marshon of Cullman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Helton died Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1922 in Cullman County to Clarence J. and Lucy Caroline Hunt. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her a daughter, Beverly Hunt Evans; three brothers, Arley Hunt, Louis Hunt, and Robert Hunt; and her husband, Cleon Helton.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Abts of Birmingham; three sons, Jearel Helton of Dalton, Marlin Helton of Stone Mountain and Morris Helton of Falkville; three brothers, Bobby Hunt of Arkadelphia, Jim Hunt and Seburn Hunt of Cullman; a sister, Reanie Moore of Arkadelphia; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Dennis Hamilton Johnson
Funeral services for Dennis Hamilton Johnson, 53, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002 at First United Methodist Church, the Revs. Bob Murry and Roger Whitley officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 21, 1948. He was an accountant. He was the A.I.C.P.A. student of the year, class of 1974 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, was an original member of the Round Up program through the Power Board, was on the Advisory Committee for the Cullman County Area Vocation School. He and his wife attended First United Methodist Church in Cullman. He was currently serving on the Regions Bank Board of Directors. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1971. Mr. Johnson and his brother, Randy, were the first to join the Navy under the Brother program and both served on board the USS John F. Kennedy. He also served on the Alabama Education Commission and Reform under former Gov. Jim Folsom.
Survivors include his wife, Xonnie Miller Johnson of Cullman; a son, Jaythan Ryan (Melissa) Johnson of Cullman; a daughter, Taylor Le Ann Johnson of Cullman; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland C. Johnson and Nelva June Johnson of Cullman; a brother, Randy C. (Johanna) Johnson of Cullman; two sisters, Cynthia Ann Johnson of Cullman and Jennifer Johnson (Greg) Smith of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Sydnee and Kacey; a nephew, Tyler Smith; and a niece, Clancy Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sonshine Preschool at the First United Methodist Church.

Charles Eldridge Brown

Mr. Brown died Tuesday, Dec. 10 at his residence. He was retired from the Alabama Farmers Co-op in Oneonta. He was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and the Blountsville Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mason Washburn; and a brother, Verbon Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Brown; twin sons, Delane (Vikki) Brown, Wayne (Vanessa) Brown; two daughters, Angie (Jay) Washburn, Debra (Larry) Goble; two brothers, Roger (Pat) Brown, Alvin Brown; and four grandchildren, Matthew Goble, Benny Brown, Whitney Brown, Nikolas Brown.

Betty Jean Reynolds

Mrs. Reynolds died Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born May 8, 1933 to Carl and Minnie Creel Brasher. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Homer Reynolds of Vinemont; five sons, Roger Reynolds, Larry Reynolds, Ricky Reynolds, Robert Reynolds, Darrell Reynolds, all of Vinemont; two daughters, Linda Reynolds Shadrix of Hayden and Brenda Reynolds of Vinemont; and five grandchildren, Scotty Reynolds, Amy Reynolds, Steven Reynolds, Wesley Shadrix, and Cody Shadrix.

Mr. Hathcote died Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 31, 1953 to Claude and Hazel Persall Hathcote. He was a carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; and a brother, R.W. Hathcote.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Dorsey Kilgore.
Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Kilgore of Joppa; a nephew, Donald Tanner of Ruskin, Fla.; two brothers, Nevil Tanner and Puccle Tanner of Cullman; and a sister-in-law, Myrtle Kilgore of Powder Springs, Ga.

Mrs. Woodard died Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Birmingham Health South. She was born in Arkansas on April 10, 1918 to Miles Henry and Rosaetta Worley Bramlett. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Silas Leonard Woodard of Arley; a son, Danny Dean Douglas of Arley; two daughters, Alma Faye Fenk of Hanceville and Rosaetta Shockley of Arley; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A special light lunch will be served on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
