Graveside services for F. Milton Parker, 88, of Bremen were Monday, Dec. 23, 2002 at Ryan’s Creek Cemetery, the Revs. Ron Foshee, Bobby Parker and James Parker officiating.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Janie Calvert Parker.
Mr. Parker died Saturday, Dec. 21 at his residence. He was born Jan. 10, 1914. He was a farmer.
Survivors include a son, Tommy (Bobbie) Parker; two daughters, Carolyn (Bill) Jett and Sharon (William) Thornton; a brother, Jimmy (Olene) Parker; six grandchildren, Jennifer Glover, Austin Jett, Lindsey Jett, Janet Moody, Brad Parker, and Bruce Parker; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday.
Flossie Mitchell Harbison
Funeral services for Flossie Mitchell Harbison, 96, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, Doug Matlock and Wayne Williams officiating, with burial in Bethesda Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mrs. Harbison died Sunday, Dec. 22 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 20, 1906 in Arkadelphia to Jack and Martha Mitchell. She was a school teacher. She was a member of Bethesda Church of Christ for more than 80 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernie Harbison; five brothers, William Mitchell, Bobby Mitchell, Talmadge Mitchell, Asa Mitchell and Woodrow Mitchell; and seven sisters, Ida Mitchell, Mattie Rice, Janie Rice, Bertha Baggett, Stella Joiner, Nellie Griffith, and Lillian Attaway.
Survivors include a son, Vernie Lee (Jackie) Harbison of Bremen; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Maurice Drummond, Mark Knight, Darryl McHann, Rocky Montgomery, Conard Rice, and Donnie Rice.
Visitation was Monday.
Minnie Hathcock
Funeral services for Minnie Hathcock, 94, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2002 at Moss Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Kenneth Hester officiating, with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Hathcock died Sunday, Dec. 22 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 20, 1908 to William and Claudina Gerkin Schlichting. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace Hathcock; a daughter, Mary Huffstutler; a son, Fred Hathcock; three sisters, Louise, Annie and Hattie Schlichting; and a brother, Henry Schlichting.
Survivors include a son, James Rayburn (Anne) Hathcock of Auburn; two daughters, Vivian (Charles) Nash of Hanceville and Kathryn (Cleon) Calvert of Crane Hill; a daughter-in-law, Mary Hathcock of Cullman; two sisters, Marie Peinhardt of Cullman and Eda Schlichting of Good Hope; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Billy J. Finley
Funeral services for Billy J. Finley, 68, of Hanceville will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Randall Waldrep officiating, with burial in Cullman Heritage Cemetery.

Mr. Finley died Dec. 23 at Carraway Methodist Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Bertha Elm Finley.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Cook Finley of Hanceville; brothers, Winford Finley and Alvis Finley of Cullman; sisters, Irene Gann of Cullman and Annie Mae Landers of Indiana; nine step-children and 27 step-grandchildren.

Dennis Case
Funeral services for Dennis Case, 77, of Ypsilanti, Mich., formerly of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2002 at North Prospect Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, Mich., the Revs. Mike Jernigan and Roger Luther officiating, with burial in Oak Grove East Cemetery in Chelsea, Mich.

Mr. Case died Saturday, Dec. 21 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born July 25, 1925 in PIkeville, Ky. to Maynard and Gracie Bartley Case. He moved from Detroit to Ypsilanti in 1964. He was a member of North Prospect Baptist Church in Ypsilanti and retired from General Motors in 1990. He married Evelyn McGriff in Detroit on Aug. 31, 1957.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn McGriff Case; a son, Richard (Cynthia) Case of Chelsea, Mich.; three daughters, Tina L. Case of Ypsilanti, Mich., Dana (Robert) Davis of Stockbridge, Lisa (Robert) Greca of Canton, Mich.; two brothers, Phinis (Billie) Case of Pikeville, Ky. and Cas (Shirley) Case of Grass Lake, Mich., three sisters, Katherine Doerr-Ellenwood, Maudie (Chester) Branham, and Ella (James) Branham all of Chelsea, Mich.; and five grandchildren, Daniel, David and Stephanie Case, Taylor and Trevor Greca.
Memorial contributions be made to North Prospect Baptist Church or the American Lung Association.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church on Friday.

Mrs. Yates died Monday, Dec. 23 at her residence. She was born Aug. 17, 1935 in Franklin County, Ala. to Alvin E. and Arvina Logan Bohannon. She was a homemaker, a floral designer and bookkeeper for Kesslers Florist and Gift Shop for more than 20 years, a member of Northwood Garden Club, a member of Northside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and the Acteens.
She was preceded in death by biological mother, Arvina Logan Bohannon at the age of three; stepmother, Vera McGriff Bohannon; and her father, Alvin E. Bohannon.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Vandel Yates of Cullman; a sister, Anne Bohannon Stansell; and brother-in-law, John Carlton Stansell, both of College Station, Texas; a niece, Cynthia Stansell Lucas; a newphew, Mark E. Lucas; a great-niece, Taylor Christin Lucas, all of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers-in-law, James Marvin Yates of Hanceville and Glenn Kelso of Daytona Beach, Fla.; seven sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hestla Yates of Hanceville, Alyne Yates Sibemaler, Jo Ann Yates Nelson and Sharon Yates Kelso, all of Daytona Beach, Fla., Hellon Yates Reed of Pinson, Jacqueline Yates Carey of Chicago, Ill., Delora Yates Baggett of Guntersville; eight nephews, eight nieces; and two great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Joe E. Miller; a brother, Joe Phillips; two nieces; one nephew; and three great-nieces.

Funeral services for Irene Woerz Basch, 83, of Cullman will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. Kevin McGrath and Abbott Cletus Meagher officiating, with burial in the Catholic cemetery.

Mrs. Basch died Thursday, Dec. 26 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 6, 1919 in Cullman to Peter Paul and Anna Leibacher Woerz. She was retired after 35 years of service with Bell South and also worked with her late husband and son at Basch Bros. Hardware. She was an active member of Sacred Catholic Church, Alter Society and Bell South Telephone Pioneers, North Division.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Ralph Basch Sr.; and her sister, Katherine Woerz.
Survivors include a son, Ralph (Melody) Basch Jr. of Cullman; a daughter, Nancy Basch Harrison of Cullman; a brother, Ervine Woerz of Cullman; two sisters, Marguarite Woerz and Marie (Herbert) Hollaway of Cullman; five grandsons, Benjamin (Cheryl) Harrison of Chattanooga, Tenn., Ross Harrison (fianceé, Jade Hipp), Nathan Basch, Jared Basch and Trent Basch; and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Elizabeth Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ralph G. Basch Memorial Christmas Fund at Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Life Care Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Ben Harrison, Ross Harrison, Nathan Basch, Jared Basch, Trent Basch, Edgar Veigl and Paul Harrison.

Mrs. Calvert died Tuesday, Dec. 24 at her residence. She was born on July 18, 1919 in Cullman County to John H. and Roxie Smith Wilson. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louie Leldon Calvert; her son, Marion Donald Calvert; and her granddaughter, Cassandra Dawn Freeman.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Ferrell) Williams of Crane Hill and Sheila Barbee of West Point; a sister, Lydia Goodwin of Brushy Pond; five grandchildren, Franklin Adam Barbee, Max Williams, Banita England, Scott Lee Freeman and Ramona McGehee; and five great-grandchildren, Alesia Mickle, Coty Mickle, Amber Williams, Nikki Freeman and Brandon Freeman.

Arthena Gale Griffin

Mrs. Griffin died Wednesday, Dec. 25 at her residence. She was born Jan. 9, 1938 in Winston County. She was a retired poultry farmer, a member of the Cullman County Cattlewomen’s Association and the Alabama Egg and Poultry Producers Association.
She was preceded in death by her father, George T. Pigg.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby R. Griffin of Vinemont; her mother, Avis Veron Pigg; a son, Skip (Chris) Griffin of Cullman; two daughters, Sharon (Mark) Fox and Karon McKelvy of Cullman; two brothers, Gordon “Billy” (Kay) Pigg of Cullman and Byron “Joe” (Sharon) Pigg of Jefferson County; and four grandchildren, Zach Neely, Chad McKelvy, Jake Griffin and Jeb Griffin.
Pallbearers will be Mike Buckelew, Rowdy Carden, Phillip Mann, Johnny Laney, Paul Roberts and Nathan Thompson.
