Funeral services for Nettie Ann Williams, 88, of Falkville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003 at Bell Springs Missionary Baptist Church, the Revs. Ralph Henderson and Steve Rodgers officiating, with burial in Bell Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams died Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1914 in Marion County to John Lafayette and Lillie Francis Simmons Sullins. She was a homemaker and a member of Bell Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Henry Grady Williams.
Survivors include a son, Cecil Williams of Falkville; two daughters, Lois Via of Hartselle and Joyce Cook of Falkville; three sisters, Mae Cole of Falkville, Mildred Hopper of Hartselle and Estella Pierce of Vinemont; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Sheppard, Brian Hanson, Lynn Lindsey, Tony Harris, Jerry Pierce, and Trainnice Young.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Theodore Kromis, 76, of Huntsville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003 at Holy Spirit Church, Fr. Phil O’Kennedy officiating, with a graveside service at 3 p.m. in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Joppa.

Mrs. Parker died Sunday, Jan. 12 at Woodland Village Health Care. She was born Sept. 15, 1909 in Morgan County to Thomas Madison and Margaret Elizabeth Wildman Hart. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Commodore J. Mechaw and Bascom Parker; three sons, Pete, Billy and Frankie Mechaw; a daughter, Ruby Harris; two daughters-in-law, Irene and Louise Mechaw; a sister, Lorene Drake; and two brothers, Madison and L.P. Hart.
Survivors include four sons, C.J. Mechaw Jr. of Battleground, Herman (Pat) Mechaw of Lantana, Fla., Guy Mechaw of Tampa, Fla., and James (Mary) Mechaw of Romeoville, Ill.; a son-in-law, Roland Harris of Lacon; three step-children, Edra Nell Covey of Wildwood, Fla., Ronald Parker of Eva and Margene Reid of Gardendale; a brother, Guy Hart of Vinemont; two sisters, Gwen McEwen and Mattie Barnett of Falkville; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County.

Marguerite Lorene Rigsby
Graveside services for Marguerite Lorene Rigsby, 93, of Wetumpka Nursing Home will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Cullman City Cemetery.

She died Jan. 13 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. She was born April 25, 1909 in Birmingham, the daughter of Alonza and Lena Higgins Spiegle. She was a teacher in the Cullman County school system from 1931-44, a school principal from 1944-51, teacher in the Cullman City school system from 1952-62 and administrator of the Cullman County Public Library from 1962-73. She was a member of the National Education Association, Alabama Education Association, Cullman Education Association, Parent Teacher Association, Alabama Library Association (vice president and president-elect, Public Libraries Division, 1971 and 1972), South East Library Association and American Library Association.
She also was a member of the Music Concert Series (Board of Directors from 1965-67), Cullman Federation Garden Club (chairwoman of Membership Committee, Civic Project chairwoman, 1964-65), Church Women United (president 1967), Cullman County Historical Association charter member, Delta Kappa Gamma (president 1962-64), Alpha Beta Alpha, Christian Church (stewardness, 1963-64, secretarial board 1964-65, director youth groups 1947-54, choir director 1951-68), and Green Earth Garden Club (president 1963-65).
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert Lynn Rigsby Sr.; and a son, Gilbert Lynn Rigsby Jr.
Survivors include a son, Charles Rigsby; two daughters, Lorene (William Allen) Adams of Auburn and Terry Rigsby of Opelika; a brother, Earnest Spiegle of Arab; a sister, Floelle Filmer of Huntsville; six grandchildren, Tish Pegues of Huntsville, David Parsons of Alpharetta, Ga., Tina Rigsby of Florence and Perrie Elrod, Marnie McClellon and Shawn Rigsby, all of Cullman; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Henderson; a son, Larry Henderson; a granddaughter, Karen Boychi; her parents; a brother, Johnny Scott; and five sisters, Flossie (L.H.) Crumbley, Isola (Bernard) Watts, Corine (U.B.) Shaw, Opat (F.F.) Shoemaker, and Clara (Cleve) Harris.
Survivors include a daughter, Myra Henderson Hendrix of Holly Pond; five grandchildren, Brad (Crystal) Henderson, Kristi (Mike) May, Danette (Keith) Johnson, Theresa (Sam) Benefield, and Ginger (Keith) Garner, all of Holly Pond; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Arthur Clifton Hagood

Mr. Hagood died Saturday, Jan. 11 at Moulton Health Care Center. He was born Dec. 1, 1932 in Lawrence County to Freddie and Louise Sanderson Hagood. He was a retired truck driver for Littrell Lumber Company for 25 years. He was a veteran of the Korean war and a member of Eva Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Hagood.
Survivors include his wife, Deloris Hagood of Decatur; a son, Clifton Hagood of Decatur; a daughter, Rachel Dearman of Decatur; a brother, Dean Hagood of Monroe, La.; a sister, Mary Lou Hillman of Grayson, La.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Childers, Andrew Roper, Aldridge Roper, Chris Hall, Jarret Hall, Phillip Frost and Matthew Frost.

William Thomas Floyd
Funeral services for William Thomas Floyd, 81, of Blountsville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 at Blountsville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Donald Ray Floyd officiating, with burial in Brooksville Cemetery.

Mr. Floyd died Sunday, Jan. 12 at his residence. He was a retired steel worker for Thompson Fabrics, a member of Brooksville Baptist Church and of the VFW at Snead.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Geneva Gaddis Floyd.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Brown Floyd of Blountsville; four sons, William Dan Floyd of Snead, Thomas Michael Floyd of Cullman, Wiley Lee Wallace of Albertville, and Charles David Wallace of Arab; a daughter, Treasa Crawford Smelser of Cullman; two brothers, James Floyd of Cleveland and Sam Floyd of Bell, Tenn.; a sister, Nella Ruth Elrod of Snead; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and special family friend, Larry Jones.
Larry D. Eddleman Sr.
Funeral services for Larry D. Eddleman Sr., 56, of Gardendale will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 at Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, Dr. Rudy Guess officiating, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Eddleman died Saturday, Jan. 11. He was employed with Country Delite Farms based in Nashville, Tenn. He was a member of Gardendale Mt. Vernon UMC, the Alabama Grocers Association, the Executive Food Sale Club and the Alabama Oilman’s Association.
Survivors include his wife, Vanita Eddleman; two sons, Larry Darrel Eddleman Jr. of Mt. Olive and Jason Todd (Debbie) Eddleman of Gardendale; a daughter, Leslie DeAnne Eddleman of Gardendale; a granddaughter, Alayna Jo Eddleman; his parents, Rev. O.D. and Anthonetta Eddleman; two nephews; and three nieces.

Bill Davis
Funeral services for Bill Davis, 74, of Vinemont will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003 at Moss Service Chapel, Jerri Hunt and Randy Makemson officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Davis died Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Morningside Nursing Home. He was born July 28, 1928 to Theodore and Rosie Nix Davis. He was a technician for NASA, a member of Faith Baptist Church in Vinemont where he was a lifelong resident. He and his wife were residents of Morningside.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Terry Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Davis; his son, Steve Davis; his daughter, Deborah Scott of New Orleans; four grandchildren, Paige MacKentepe, Kerri Roberts, Garrett Davis, Justin Davis; a great-grandchild, Mason Roberts; and an uncle, Daniel Nix of Price ville.
Visitation was Tuesday.
