Funeral services for Brady Glenn Hampton, 23, of Helena, are at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 at Seventh Street Baptist Church, Jerry Hall and David Platt officiating, with burial in Center Grove Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Hampton died Saturday, Feb. 1 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1979 in Birmingham to Randy Glenn Hampton and Myra Jean Smith. He was a minister.
Survivors include his father, Randy Glenn Hampton of Cedartown, Ga.; his mother, Myra Jean Smith of Cullman, his wife, Jennifer Brooks Hampton of Helena, Ala.; his sister, Shelly (Kevin) Johns of Cullman; his grandparents, Willie Ray (Joan) Smith of Cullman and Ethel Lynn Hampton of Baileyton.

Mrs. Song died Saturday, Feb. 1 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born Dec. 23, 1926 at Pussan, South Korea. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lilly Bales.
Survivors include her daughter, Chun Hui (Dan) Jones of Hanceville; three grandchildren, Christopher Jones of Hanceville, Christina Mason of Hanceville and Danny Song of Atlanta, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Bales, Hope Mason, Derreck song and Drake Song.

Melva Geneva Hood
Funeral services for Melva Geneva Hood, 75, of Cullman are at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, Michael Williamson officiating, with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Mrs. Hood died Friday, Jan. 31 at Woodland Village Health Care. She was born Nov. 20, 1927 in Morgan County to William Thomas and Sarah Francis Hardin Byars. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Monroe Hood.
Survivors include her son, Roger (Melody) Hood of Georgia; her daughter, Martha Hood of Scottsboro; two brothers, James Byars of Birmingham and Joel Byars of Arley; two sisters, Frances Peak of Huntsville and Willene Allison of Knoxville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Joelle Hood, Shona Hood, Derrell Hood and Dorenda Hood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Paul T. Horsley.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Horsley Doyle; two sisters-in-law, Esther Hosey and Charlotte Hosey; and eight nieces.

Mr. Griffin died Thursday, Jan. 30 in Tampa. He was born in Cullman County on Aug. 3, 1929. He was the owner and operator of C.J. Griffin Trucking Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Authur and Audie Mae Maner Griffin; two brothers, Doyle Griffin and Steve Griffin; and a sister, Opal Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Youvon Rainey Griffin of Ft. Lauderdale; a daughter, Rebecca Diann (Fred) Jenkins of Coral Springs, Fla.; seven brothers, Dawson Griffin and Scott Griffin of Cullman, Dewey Griffin of Sylacauga, Eugene Griffin of Tampa, Verlie Griffin and Monroe Griffin of Pell City, and Horace Griffin of Oklahoma; two sisters, Wilma Jo McCravy and Gladys Smith of Cullman; two grandchildren, Katie Born and Lynn Baker of Coral Springs, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cooper died Saturday, Feb. 1 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cullman County on March 13, 1923 to Leon and Edith Weeks Scott. She was a lunchroom worker for Cullman County School System and the oldest member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis J. Cooper; a brother; and a sister.
Survivors include a son, James (Charlotte) Cooper of Cullman; two daughters, Janette (Rayburn) Cupp of Cullman and Fay (Johnny) Nail of Good Hope; three sisters, Betty Jean Hinkle of Cullman, Pauline Bridges of Birmingham and Hilda Curvin of Vinemont; three grandchildren, Robin O’Berry, Brian Cooper and Amanda Cooper; and three great-grandchildren, Miles O’Berry, Magen O’Berry and Kennedy Cooper.

Mr. Hood died Monday, Feb. 3 at Cullman Long Term Care. He was born Oct. 23, 1930 in Cullman to Lewis and Bertha Ann Burnette Hood. He was a restaurant cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Cecil Hood and Mitchell Hood.
Survivors include three brothers, Fred Hood and Doyle Hood of Cullman, and Vernon Hood of Florida; and three sisters, Atha Lee Irvin and Velma Story of Welti, and Ozelle Weddle of Indiana.
