Services for Cornell McMinn, 85, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2001 at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel, Emry Calvert and Dennis Trimble officiating, with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mr. McMinn died Friday, Nov. 9 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 26, 1916 to James and Mary Hinkle McMinn. He was a poultry farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Clara McMinn Day; and three brothers, Jack, Curtis and Adell McMinn.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Inez Trimble McMinn; three sons, Donald (Betty) McMinn, Michael McMinn, Sidney (Connie) McMinn; four sisters, Mable Calvert, Ruby Tubbs both of Cullman, Gladys Chattam of Georgia, Delta Taylor of Decatur; seven grandchildren, Vicki Roberts, Tara McMinn, Chris Lynn, Candy Rushing, Angie Sanders, Laura McMinn, Melanie McMinn; and three great-grandchildren, Justin Youngblood, Leah Roberts, Madison Paige Rushing.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. today.
Cordis E. Williams
Services for Cordis E. Williams, 73, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at Moss Service Chapel with burial in Livingston Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Williams died Friday, Nov. 9 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 13, 1928 to Edward and Modenia Grimmett Williams. He was a truck line freight handler.
Survivors include three sons, Billy, Timmy and Kerry Williams; daughter, Donna Shedd; four sisters, Hazel McSwain, Merle McSwain, Oleta Campbell, Colleen Campbell; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Saturday.
Billy Phillips
Services for Billy Phillips, 68, of Holly Pond will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2001 at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Union Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Phillips died Saturday, Nov. 10 in Cullman County. He was born in Cullman County on March 4, 1933 to A.A. and Annie Shedd Phillips. He was a cabinet maker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Alfred A., Calvin and Wendell Phillips and Eugene Wright; and a sister, Barbara Phillips.
Survivors include two brothers, Thomas Phillips of Cullman, Aaron Phillips of Arab; and two sisters, Sarah Claburn of Madison, Cinda Williams of Union Hill.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Shedd, Ronnie McCormick, Ted Williams, Clay Mayo, Gene Mayo and Dal McGriff.
Garlon Jr. McClendon
Services for Garlon Jr. McClendon, 69, of Bremen will be at noon Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at Cold Springs Baptist Church, Junior Garmon and Marvin Clemons officiating, with burial in Cold Springs Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. McClendon died Thursday, Nov. 8 at his residence. He was born July 11, 1932 to Leonard and Emma Waldrip McClendon. He was a coal miner.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Waddle McClendon of Bremen; two sons, Tim McClendon of Fulton, Miss. and Don McClendon of Cold Springs; a daughter, Wanda Graves of Cold Springs; a brother, Glendol McClendon of Cold Springs; a sister, Azrea Laney of Berlin; three granddaughters; four grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be at 5:30 p.m. today.
Rev. L.E. Talley
Services for Rev. L.E. Talley, 82, of Cullman will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at Spirit Life Church of God, the Revs. Andrew Ball and Rex Taylor officiating, with entombment in Cullman Memory Gardens. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Rev. Talley died Thursday, Nov. 8 at his residence. He was born Feb. 16, 1919 in Cullman County to Sherman Robert and Ida Hardin Talley. He was a Church of God minister for 57 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Orean Brown Talley; and a daughter, Mary Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Lantrip Talley of Cullman; four sons, Glenis S. Talley, David Elmer Talley and Kenneth Talley, all of Cullman and Terry Talley of Tuscaloosa; a daughter, Betty Auston of Crane Hill; three stepsons, Benny Holland of Jacksonville, Fla., Robert A. Holland of Birmingham and Richard D. Holland of Orlando, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Mary A. Farmer of Arley; three brothers, Auther Talley and Leroy Talley, both of Northport and Melvin Talley of Cullman; a sister, Ruby Cleary of Northport; 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
William Hilbert Weaver Sr.
Services for William Hilbert Weaver Sr., 87, of Falkville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at Rock Creek Baptist Church, the Revs. Chuck Hanvey and Jessie Estes officiating, with burial in Oden Ridge Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Weaver died Friday, Nov. 9 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born April 20, 1914 in Morgan County to Virgil Lafayette and Beatrice Holmes Weaver. He was a farmer and a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zona Mason Weaver; a son, Lafayette Weaver; and a sister, Hilda Weaver Pellowski.
Survivors include a son, William H. Weaver Jr. of Mineral Bluff, Ga.; two daughters, Margaret Smith of Eva and Elaine Bennett of Danville; a sister, Wilda Tanner of Eva; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Bennett, Monte Bennett, Teddy Gorton, Dicky Weaver, Gregg Weaver and Ricky Weaver.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Sister Mary Eugenie Veglia
Services for Sister Mary Eugenie Veglia, 90, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2001 at The Chapel of the Sisters of St. Joseph in New Orleans, La., the Rev. Paul Schott officiating, with burial in St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery.

She died Thursday, Nov. 8. She was the former Mae Clothilde Veglia. She was a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center. She taught at St. Ann and St. Rose Schools and the St. Joseph Academy in New Orleans, also the St. Joseph Academies in Baton Rouge, New Roads, La., Bay St. Louis, Mo. and McNicholas High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and was archivist for the Sister of St. Joseph in Baton Rouge, La.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Anthony and Eugenie Duraynaud Veglia; and a brother and his wife, Claude and Ambrose Veglia.
Survivors include a sister, Gloria Stieffel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sisters of St. Joseph Development Fund, 1200 Mirabeau Ave., New Orleans, La 70122.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday.at The Sisters of St. Joseph Chapel.

Services for I.V. Williams Cockrell, 84, of Cullman was Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Elders Rickey Harcrow and Wilkenson officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mrs. Cockrell died Sunday, Nov. 11 at Woodland Village Health Care Center. She was born March 12, 1917 in Clay County to Elmore and Arrie Sasnett Williams. She was an LPN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Cockrell; her brother, Elmer Williams; and her sister, Unia B. Williams Howard.
Survivors include a stepson, Artis Cockrell of Hanceville; and a stepdaughter, Mavis Stover of Warrior.
Visitation was Monday.
Rufus Ervin Blair

Mr. Blair died Monday, Nov. 12 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 7, 1909 in Clay County to Robert and Tansie Hill Blair. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Myrtie Mayhall, Mattie Knighten and Jessie Knight.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby South Blair of Cullman; a son, James M. Blair of Lawrence County; a daughter, Robbie (Noel J.) Mize of Cullman; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday.
