Funeral services for Paul Joseph Carroll, 88, of Cullman will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Sacred Heart Monastery, with burial in the Catholic cemetery.

Mr. Carroll died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2003 at Cullman Long Term Care. He was born Aug. 3, 1914 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Coleman and Mary Wade Carroll. He was a member of the U.S. Army and a veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Velma Ballard Moore Weldon
Funeral services for Velma Ballard Moore Weldon, 91, of Homewood will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Marvin Bryan officiating, with burial in Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville.

Mrs. Weldon died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003. She was born on Oct. 13, 1911 to Louis and Sally Sullins Ballard.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a son, Edgar M. Moore of Homewood; two nephews, Jimmy Waynes Jones and James Quick; and a niece, Jean Clingan.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Earline Carver
Funeral services for Earline Carver, 82, of Arab will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2003 at Gober Funeral Chapel, Max Roden, Kenneth Hester and Gary Carver officiating, with burial in Arab Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Carver died Wednesday, Feb. 26 at her residence. She was born in Marshall County on Nov. 20, 1920 to Joe D. and Lela E. Parker Black. She was a homemaker, and a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church and the Amanda King Chapter of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. H.S. Carver; and her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (Kermit) McCollum of Arab; a sister, Rosalie Jetton of Guntersville; and three grandsons, Stephen, Timothy and David McCollum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gilliam Springs Baptist Church Mission Fund, 1351 North Brindlee Mountain Parkway, Arab, Ala. 35016.
Dyrel Cone
Graveside services for Dyrel Cone, 55, of Hanceville are at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Fairview West Cemetery, the Rev. Marvin “Doc” Bryan officating.

Mr. Cone died Thursday, Feb. 27. He was born in Cullman on March 14, 1947. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Lodusky Cone of Hanceville; three sons, Jason Dyrel (Kathy) Cone, Thomas Whaley Cone and Zachary Byrd Cone, all of Hanceville; a sister, Elsie Bailey of Cullman; three brothers, Donald Cone, Earl Cone and James Cone, all of Hanceville; five sisters, Esther Kannaday, Jeanette Pitts, Lela Mae Whaley, all of Hanceville, Bea Phillips of Forestdale and Ellen Russell of Fultondale; and two step-grandchildren, Ashley and Christoper.

Mr. Robertson died Thursday, Feb. 27 at his residence. He was born Aug. 23, 1976 in Cullman County to Larry and Madelyn Carroll Robertson. He was an auto body specialist and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Craig Wesley Robertson; and his grandparents, Ethelene Robertson and Mary and Doug Carroll Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda James Robertson; his parents, Larry and Madelyn Robertson of Holly Pond; a sister, Shannon (Beau) Judkins of Navarre, Fla.; a grandfather, Wesley Robertson of Holly Pond; aunts and uncles, Sharon and Doug Carroll and Danny and Amy Robertson, all of Holly Pond; and a niece, Stephanie Judkins of Navarre, Fla.
Pallbearers will be Matt Carroll, Brian Carroll, Trent Loyd, Chris Loyd, Ricky Gibbs and Gary Gibbs.
Roy Wendell Speegle

Mr. Speegle died Friday, Feb. 28. He was born on Jan. 23, 1930 to James Garren “Uncle Jim” and Gertie Speegle. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cullman, an auto body instructor at the Cullman County Vocational School for 25 years and a member of the Cullman National Guard Unit for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Troy Speegle, Loys Speegle and Clyde Speegle; and two sisters, Margarette Calvert and Lillian Pope.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Jo Quattlebaum Speegle; a daughter, Judy (Bobby) Shannon; a grandson, Chad (Misty) Shannon; three brothers, James (Ethel) Speegle of Cullman, Eugene (Estelle) Speegle of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Calvin (Margaret) Speegle of Fairbanks, Alaska; and two sisters, Helen Calvert and Nona Mae Phillips of Cullman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County.
Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Speegle.

Mr. Anderson died Saturday, Feb. 22. He was born in Cullman but lived in Madison County for more than 40 years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Anderson.
Survivors include two sons, David Anderson of Cullman and Curtis Anderson of Meridianville; a stepson, Wayne Pridmore of Birmingham; three daughters, Linda McClendon of Cullman, Darlene Tielking of Meridianville and Lisa Anderson of Ardmore; three brothers, Lowell Anderson of Huntsville, Dan Anderson of Cullman and Donald Anderson of Albertville; three sisters, Ruby Petcher and Faye Shelton, both of Huntsville, and Sharon Tucker of Pasdena, Md.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sandifer died Friday, Feb. 28 at his residence. He was born Oct. 30, 1942 in Burbank, Calif., to Emmett and Edith Lorene Cowan Sandifer. He was a truck driver for Williams Petroleum.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gaston Paul Sandifer; and a sister, June Sandifer.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Sandifer; four sons, Danny (Pam) Sandifer, Jim (Carol) Sandifer, John (Sue Ann) Sandifer and Greg Sandifer; his daughter, Dawn (Jeff) Collins; and two step-daughters, Laura Case and Marla Johnson.

Mrs. Holland died Sunday, March 2 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born July 1, 1913 in Garden City to Jay and Mary Jane Edwards Fannin. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert Emmitt Holland.
Survivors include a grandson, Bob Holland of Garden City; a granddaughter, Cindy (Tommy) Thomas of Morris; three great-granchildren, Bryson Holland, Elizabeth Thomas and Nicholas Thomas; and a daughter-in-law, Pat Holland of Hanceville.
Visitation was Monday.
