Graveside services for Helen Hamilton Glasscock, 74, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Cullman City Cemetery, the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating.

Mrs. Glasscock died Saturday, March 22 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1928 in Marion County to Martin Brady and Vester Lee Hadley Hamilton. She was a retired teacher with 30 years of service with Madison County Board of Education. She was a member of Master Gardeners, a partner in the Glasscock Tree Farm, an active member of Magnolia Travelers and a member of the Auburn Alumni Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Glasscock Sr. of Cullman; a son, James E. “Jim” (Beth) Glassock Jr. of Cullman; three daughters, Johanna Lee Glasscock of Huntsville, Susan Jeanine Wells of Cullman and Lara Helen (David) Wallace of Hartselle; two sisters-in-law, Betty C. Glasscock and Mary Nell Glasscock of Birmingham; and nine grandchildren, Matthew Glasscock, Clinton Glasscock, Lisa Glasscock, Lesley Wells, Michael Wells, Hadley Wells, Jessica Wallace, Hope Wallace and Jake Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Roger Dale Pate
Funeral services for Roger Dale Pate, 53, of Susan Moore will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Blountsville Funeral Chapel, James Earl Pate and Don Garrison officiating, with burial in Mt. Joy Cemetery in Cleveland.

Mr. Pate died Sunday, March 23 at his residence. He was born in Blount County to James Alton and Mary Ruth Lochamy Pate. He was in general construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Peggy Pate.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo MacLean Pate of Susan Moore; a son, Roger Wayne (Joy) Pate; a stepson, Thomas (Joie) Moore; a stepdaughter, Angie (Michael) Vaughan; seven brothers, James (McKayla) Pate, Jerry (Delores) Pate, Eddy Wayne (Diana) Pate, Phillip (Marianne) Pate of Blountsville, Jackie (Kathy) Pate; two brothers, Albert (Janice) Pate and Paul (Tina) Pate; a sister, Cynthia (Michael) Martin; and two grandchildren, Kobey and Brice Vaughan.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Pate, Garrett Pate, John Chapel, Jerry Sullins, Norman Burkatee and James Sides.
Hyacinth Marie Livingston Patton
Funeral services for Hyacinth Marie Livingston Patton, 78, of Eva will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, with burial in Oden Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Patton died Tuesday, March 25 at her residence. She was born Feb. 5, 1925 in Morgan County. She was a member of Eva Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert R. and Gatha Hopper Livingston; two brothers, Afton Livingston and Milford Livingston; and a sister, June Shadix.
Survivors include her husband, Howard C. Patton of Eva; a son, Jerriel (Dianne) Patton of Eva; four daughters, Sandra (Ernest) Bailey of Hartselle, Brenda (Jerry) Porter of Addison, Donna (Doyle) Frasier of Attalla and Rhonda Mosteller of Eva; a brother, Roland “Smokey” Livingston of Eva; three sisters, Marigurette Alexander and Gail Childers of Eva and Sharon Hall of Florence; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

James Elbert ‘Buddy’ Dover
Funeral services for James Elbert “Buddy” Dover, 73, of Jones Chapel will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Cathedral of Praise Church of God, the Rev. Jerry Fleming officiating, with burial in Vance Family Cemetery in Jones Chapel. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Dover died Monday, March 24 at his residence. He was born Oct. 29, 1929 to Hughey and Zula Mae Freeman Dover. He was a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Paul Dover; and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Vance Dover of Jones Chapel; a son, Daniel Dover of Birmingham; three daughters, Martha Chandler of Clay; Eva Mae Sherrell of Hayden and Susan Hackney of Cullman; two brothers; six sisters; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was Tuesday.
Carol Marie Myers Sparman
Graveside services for Carol Marie Myers Sparman, 65, of Hayden will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Bangor Cemetery.

Mrs. Sparman died Monday, March 24 at Carraway Methodist Medical Center. She was born in Birmingham on Dec. 11, 1937. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Clarence Myers; her mother, Myrtis Myers; and a daughter, Jennifer Handley.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Sparman of Hayden; three daughters, Jessica Handley of Hanceville, Vicki Spurlin of Hayden and Virginia Yarbrough of Cullman; two sons, Jerry Sparman and Steve Sparman, both of Hayden; two brothers, James Stanley Myers and William “Bill” Myers, both of Birmingham; and 12 grandchildren.

Mr. Kugler died Tuesday, March 25 in Etowah County. He was born Nov. 24, 1947 in Cullman to Othell D. and Cora Bell James Kugler. He was a truck driver for Speegle Contractors and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his parents; his wife, Carol Jean McCollum Kugler of Cullman; a son, Greg (Bobbie Jo) Kugler of Cullman; a daughter, Sandy (Mike) Dye of Cullman; three grandchildren, Jacob Kugler, Colton Kugler and Michael Dye; and a mother-in-law, Ruth Blair of Flint, Mich.

Mr. Boles died Wednesday, March 26 in Cullman. He was born on March 22, 1923 in Trafford to Otis and Frances Collum Boles. He was a broker/owner of Boles Real Estate Office at Johnson Crossing. He was a member of the National Association of Realtors, a decorated veteran of World War II, a charter member of the Cullman Shrine Club, and a member of Hanceville Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Boles; and a sister, Helen Boles.
Survivors include his wife, Elouise Blackmon Boles of Hanceville; two daughters, Susie Creel of Welcome and Becky Wolfe of Hanceville; two sisters, Margaret Biles of Hueytown and Jean Franks of Birmingham; two brothers, Billy Boles of Wetumpka and Bob Boles of Gulf Shores, Fla.; four grandchildren, Julia Creel, Mark Creel, Courtney McCullough and Ivan Wolfe; and a great-grandchild, Jada McCullough.

Bradford of Hayden; a son, E.H. “Brad” Bradford of Hayden; four sisters, Ruby (Roy) Cox, Lola (Wallace) Jolly, Jackie (Greer) Perryman, all of Warrior and Opal (L.C.) Rhone of Morris; a brother, Thomas (Birdie) Hill of Warrior; and a grandson, Zane (Larisa) Bradford of Tuscaloosa.
