Services for Helen Loraine Kendrick, 82, of Jasper, formerly of Baileyton, will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at Kilgore-Green Chapel, Harold Walton, George Barrera and Ronald Earwood officiating, with burial in Gilliam Springs Baptist Cemetery in Arab.

Mrs. Kendrick died Thursday, Nov. 1 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edom J. “Whiz” Kendrick; a daughter, Nancy Kendrick; her parents, Joe and Minnie Young; a brother, Glen Young; and a sister, Mildred Young.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia (Tom) Reed of Knoxville, Tenn. and Terri (Mark) Rutledge of Jasper; a son, Tim Kendrick of Jasper; a brother, James Young of Harriman, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today.

Services for Thomas G. Merrill, 71, of Hanceville will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001 at Messmer-Goodwin Chapel, Jimmy Hammock and Dennis Lott officiating, with burial in Providence Cemetery in Hayden.

Mr. Merrill died Thursday, Nov. 1. He was a member of the Assembly Church of God and a life-long resident of Hayden.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Merrill of Hanceville; a son, Roger (Michelle) Merrill of Hanceville; five daughters, Wanda (Stephen) Fulton and Pamela (Mike) Wilcutt, both of Birmingham, Brenda (Dennis) Lott, Janice (Steve) Stewart and Rebecca (Todd) Selessman, all of Hanceville; a brother, Ellie Merrill of Hayden; 11 grandchildren, Matthew Stewart, Carla Vess, Adam Lott, James Hamilton, Daryl Hamilton, Megan Selessman, Tanner Selessman, Erin Merrill, Lacy Merrill, Kimberly Fulton and Greg Fulton; and two great-grandchildren, Elissa Vess and Sydney Vess.
Visitation was Friday.

Clara B. Knight, 91, of Dunnellon, Fla. died Wednesday, Oct. 31 at Harbor Breeze in Carabelle, Fla.

She was born in Savannah, Ga. and was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Woodmen of the World, Telephone Pioneers and PTA.
Survivors include a daughter, Beatrice G. Thomas of Dunnellon, Fla.; a son, Michael M. Knight of Destin, Fla.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services for L.C. Roberts, 75, of Brookwood will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001 at Duck River Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ozell Bearden Roberts; his parents, Luther and Jenny Roberts; and a son, Lawrence Edward “Larry” Roberts.

Mrs. Ritschard died Wednesday, Oct. 31 at Woodland Village Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 3, 1921 in Morgan County to Evie and Thersa Speegle Pruett. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norbert Ritschard; her brother, Sterling Pruett and her grandson, Clois Dale Burns.
Survivors include a son, John Thomas Ritschard of Cullman; a daughter, Carolyn Marie Burns of Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Newton Pruett of Good Hope, Marlin Pruett of Vinemont and Billy Ray Pruett of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Mozell Swann of Cullman, Alene Crawford Nunnelly of Baileyton and Claudree Twilley of Hanceville; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sivils died Thursday, Nov. 1 at Woodland Village Health Care Center. She was born Feb. 22, 1926 in Cullman County to Joseph and Lonar McCormick Trussell. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Walker Jackson; her son, Michael Edwin Jackson; and her daughter, Linda Gale Sullins.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny (Melissa) Jackson of Vinemont and George (Barbara) Jackson of Addison; a daughter, Mary Louise Robinson of Nesmith; five brothers, Oscar Trussell of Texas, Kenneth (Dessie) Trussell of Cullman, David Trussell of Blountsville, Robbie (Joan) Trussell of Anniston and T.J. (Jody) Trussell of Albertville; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Daniels died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Monroe County on Dec. 28, 1910. She was a postal clerk for Pine Hill Post Office and a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Charles E. (Janet) Daniels of New Burn, N.C. and Bobby L. Daniels of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Peggy A. Day of Cullman; four grandchildren, Robin S. Funderburk and Barbara S. Daniels, both of Dothan, Matthew Daniels of Albany, Ga. and John L. Day of Cullman; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stewart died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at her residence. She was born Oct. 12, 1921 in Alabama to Sidney and Dunreath Frost Ryan. She was a secretary at TCI Steel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Stewart; two brothers, Trumon and Auburn Ryan; and a stepson, Carl Stewart.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Ann Cameron of Harpersville; four sisters, Datchel Ryan Holmes, Luetta Crider Kinney, Juanita Ryan Burdick, all of Eva and Gaynell Ryan King of Cullman; and a brother, Gafton Ryan of Falkville.

Graveside services for Jewel Brock Tucker, 94, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001 at Cullman City Cemetery, the Rev. Mark Hinds officiating.

Mrs. Tucker died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Cullman Long Term Care. She was born March 1, 1907 to L.O. and Sally Travis Brock. She was a homemaker and a member of Fourth Street Church of Christ for 75 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.L. Tucker; son, John M. Tucker; two sisters, Melba B. Eidson, Erma B. Jacobs; and two brothers, Delton Brock and Hayes Brock.
Survivors include two sons, James A. Tucker, L. Perry Tucker both of Cullman; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cullman County or Cullman Regional Medical Center.
