Services for Duel Ray Tolbert, 62, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Timothy Davis officiating, with burial in Bethany Cemetery.

Mr. Tolbert died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Carraway Methodist Medical Center. He was born Oct. 1, 1939 in Cullman County to Calvin and Iva Alexander Tolbert. He was a drywall hangar for Leigeber Drywall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Lee L. Tolbert.
Survivors include a son, Mike (Melissa) Tolbert of Cullman; two daughters, Shanna (Tony) Turney and Kathy (David) Meherg, both of Cullman; a stepbrother, Darrell Tolbert of Cullman; five sisters, Athlene (Junior) Crawford and Burdean (Billy) Burdette, both of Hanceville, Jean Higgins of Foley, Margie Tolbert of Shelby County and Linda Boyd of Trimble; and six grandchildren, Brandon Tolbert, Kayla Tolbert, Aaron Turney, Dezirai Turney, Brock Meherg and Cahil Meherg.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Omia Wynelle Day
Services for Omia Wynelle Day, 81, of Walter will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Sherman Bailey officiating, with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Day died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 4, 1920 in Cullman County to Matthew Ezekiah and Tressie Hinkle Sinyard. She worked for the United States Department of Agriculture.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, James A. Day of Walter; two sons, Errol C. Day and James Noel Day, both of Walter; a daughter, Myra (Danny) Lane of West Point; three brothers, Milton Sinyard and Milford Sinyard, both of Walter, Mancel Sinyard of Vinemont; three sisters, Mavis Nuss and Margie Bice, both of Walter and Wilene Franklin of Good Hope; four grandchildren, Vicky Dean, Vancessa Day, Micheal Day and Jason Day; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Day and Lee Dean.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Margie Ritschard
Services for Margie Ritschard, 79, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mrs. Ritschard died Wednesday, Oct. 31 at Woodland Village Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 3, 1921 in Morgan County to Evie and Thersa Speegle Pruett. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Norbert Ritschard.
Survivors include a son, John Thomas Ritschard of Cullman; a daughter, Carolyn Marie Burns of Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Newton Pruett of Good Hope, Marlin Pruett of Vinemont and Billy Ray Pruett of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Mozell Swann of Cullman, Aline Nunnelly of Baileyton and Claudree Twilley of Hanceville; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Gussie M. Stidham
Services for Gussie M. Stidham, 74, of Holly Pond will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001 at Duck River Baptist Church, the Revs. Bunk Stidham and Andrew Chambers officiating, with burial in Duck River Cemetery.

Mrs. Stidham died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 30, 1926 in Cullman County to Wamon and Matilda Burrow Farr. She was a homemaker and a member of Plainview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Stidham; and her two sons, James and Jessie Stidham.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald (Cindy) Stidham and Jr. Stidham, both of Holly Pond and Oren (Pat) Stidham of Cullman; three daughters, Shirley (Paul) Whitehead of Holly Pond, Shelby Moore and Belinda (Joey) Loyd, both of Baileyton; a brother, Tommy Farr of Altoona; two sisters, Opal (James) Floyd of Altoona and Cleo Cornelius of Guntersville; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday.
Walter Anderson Bennefield
Services for Walter Anderson Bennefield, 66, of Decatur will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001 at New Home Baptist Church, Nathan Childers officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Bennefield died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 22, 1935 in Cullman County to Riley Wallace and Dora Lee Isbell Bennefield. He was retired from the maintenance department at Industrial Uniform Co.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janie Marie Bennefield.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Bennefield; five sons, Tim Bennefield of Tanner, Paul Bennefield and Wayne Bennefield, both of Athens, Joseph Bennefield of Cullman and Ray Bennefield of Decatur; two daughters, Patsy Sain and Sue Roy, both of Falkville; five sisters, Viola Clemons of Hartselle, Wyomie McGee of Decatur, Ruthie Blankenship of Moulton, Mageline Hardin of Cullman and Berta Mae Wilson of Georgia; a brother, Carl Ray Wilson of Florida; 22 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Bennefield, Adam Bennefield, Bobby Roy Jr., Noah Reed, Michael Bennefield and Walter Ray Bennefield Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Bennefield’s grandsons.
Visitation was Wednesday.
Patricia Holmes
Services for Patricia Holmes, 63, of Baileyton will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001 at Etha Baptist Church, Lonnie Skinner and Wayne Vincent officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Holmes died Sunday, Oct. 28 at her residence. She was born June 2, 1938 in Cullman County to Arthur and Bertha Creel Anderton. She was a seamstress for Wrangler Jeans Co.
She was preceded in death by her father; and her sister, Phyllis Anderton.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Holmes of Baileyton; her mother; a son, Keith Holmes of Cullman; a daughter, Kathy (Phillip) Hood of St. Marys, Ga.; a brother, Max (Betty) Anderton of Locust Fork; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Hood and Rachel Hood.
Visitation was Monday.
Bobby Joe Duffie
Services for Bobbie Joe Duffie, 64, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Frs. John O’Donnell and Kevin McGrath officiating, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in Hanceville.

Mr. Duffie died Monday, Oct. 29 at his residence. He was born in Hanceville on Nov. 28, 1936. He was a master sergeant (air defense artilleryman) in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Teddy Duffie; and his brother, Jack Elwin Duffie.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Duffie of Hanceville; his mother, Lottie G. Duffie of Hanceville; a son, Bobby Joe (Kim) Duffie Jr. of Hanceville; three daughters, Sylvia (Dennis) Edmondson and Ollie (Donald) Trussell both of Hanceville; Lottie (Tim) Nuss of Austin, Texas; a brother, Doyle Duffie of Hanceville; a foster son, Pete (Margaret) Contreras of Hanceville; eight sisters, Gladys Talley of Cullman, Dorothy Nail of Hanceville, Billy Sue Smellcer of Dandridge, Tenn., Betty Miller of Hayden, Shirley Walker of Bradenton, Fla., Barbara Lipps, Carol Hanner and Judy Joiner, all of Arab; and 12 grandchildren, Sabine Duffie, Frazier Edmondson, Shauni Edmondson, Sara S. Duffie, Ryan Duffie, J.L. Duffie, Mariah Duffie Celine Duffie, Luke Duffie, Amanda Nuss, P.J. Contreras and Wesley Contreras.

Mr. Harris died Monday, Oct. 29 at his residence. He served eight years as Winston County Commissioner.
Survivors include two daughters, Djuna Harris (Phillip Earl)Wilson and Denita Harris (Randy Morgan) Lee, both of Houston; three grandchildren, Lowell Cleteus Earl Wilson, Heather Lee (Brian) Denson and Tiffany Lashae Lee; a great-grandson, Peyton Alan Thompson; and special loved ones, Gaynell White and children.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dale Harris, Larry Harris, Lowell Van Camp, Tony Hamrick, Clete Wilson, Michael Rooks, Gregory Rooks and Tim Goddard.
