Services for Elnor Geneva Hicks, 89, of Falkville will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, John Gibson officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks died Friday, Jan. 4 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born June 5, 1912 in Cullman County to John and Nola Gibson Tillerly. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Beulah Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Herbert Hicks.
Survivors include a son, Ray Hicks of Cullman; a daughter, Jackey Lokey of Falkville; and a sister, Allie Stinson of Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Dollie Vest Flanagan
Services for Dollie Vest Flanagan, 93, of Logan will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at Moss Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Greg Story officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Flanagan died Friday, Jan. 4 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 6, 1908 to John W. and Martha E. Vest of Cullman. She was a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Sgt. T.D. Flanagan USMC; daughter, Mary E. Boneta; and one grandson, Charles W. Boneta.
Survivors include on son, Riley (Pat) Flanagan of Crane Hill; one daughter, Martha Flanagan French of Cullman; two grandsons, Joseph Boneta of Vero Beach, Fla., Patrick Flanagan of Grain Hill; one granddaughter, Carol Lynn Flanagan of Cullman; two great-grandsons, Josh and Sam Boneta of Vero Beach, Fla.; two great-granddaughters, Brittney and Courtney Boneta of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one sister, Ruby Vest Hunt of Cullman.

Mrs. McCormick died Saturday, Jan. 5 at Woodland Village Health Care. She was born Sept. 1, 1901 to Charlie and Mary Burfield. She was a member of Vinemont First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Hoyt McCormick; daughter, Opal Louise McCormick; and son, Hubert Lee McCormick.
Survivors include two sons, Buford Ray (Marie) McCormick of Baxter Springs, Kan., Bobby Fred (Eloise) McCormick of Cullman; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services for Joel Elisha Brenley, 87, of Cullman will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Doug Pitts officiating, with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mr. Brenley died Friday, Jan. 4 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Tennessee on July 8, 1914 to Stephen and Ardelia Brown Brenley. He was a retired machine operator from Americold and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Dalliah Brenley.
Survivors include one son, Glen (Joyce) Brenley of Vinemont; one brother, Marshall Brenley of Indianapolis, Ind.; and one granddaughter, Kimberly, and one great-granddaughter, Anissa, both of Price ville.
Visitation was Saturday.

Johnson, Joey, Racheal and Kelly Umphrey, Chris Wilson and Jody Wilson and Bud Kinney; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Basenberg died Friday, Jan. 4. She was born in Cullman County and lived in Gadsden for 54 years. She was a member of Hokes Bluff United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Basenberg Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Robert (Nelda) Basenberg of Gardendale, Thomas Basenberg of Goldsboro, N.C.; daughter, Janey (Phil) Lazenby of Daphne; two grandsons, Derek (Dana) Pentecost, Brian Basenberg; two sisters, Judy Self, Agnes Cobb; and two brothers, Clyde (Mary) Keller, Thomas Burton (Gladys) Keller.
Pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and members of Hokes Bluff United Methodist Church.

Artis Boyd Ray
Services for Artis Boyd Ray, 69, of Decatur were Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. James H. Henderson and Ernest Morris officiating, with burial in Jones Cemetery.

Mr. Ray died Friday, Jan. 4 at his residence. He was born in Cullman County on Jan. 17, 1932 to Rufus Jackson and Vera Pope Ray. He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of Flint Baptist Church in Cullman County.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Ray of Decatur; son, Keith Ray of Decatur; daughter, Raymonda Foote of Falkville; four sisters, Myra Hill of Decatur; Oleta White of Hartselle, Jewell Yarbrough, Marie Moore both of Birmingham; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Keith Ray, Erick Ray, Norman Foote, John Foote, Harold Hill, Corky Hill.
