Mae Hudson
Services for Mae Hudson, 89, of Hanceville, formerly of Cullman, were Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, Phil Young officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.
Moss Service Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hudson died Saturday, Jan. 5 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 11, 1912 to John and Evelyn Lee Richardson. She was a homemaker and active in Eastern Star and the American Red Cross as well as serving as a Cullman Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cullman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack A. Hudson; a son, John H. Hudson; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Freeda Hudson of Cullman; two grandchildren, David Hudson and Wayne (Sherri) Hudson, both of Cullman; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday.

Othelia ‘Audie’ McCormick
Services for Othelia “Audie” McCormick, 92, of Vinemont, were Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, with burial in Fellowship Cemetery of Spring Hill.
Moss Service Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McCormick died Saturday, Jan. 4 at Woodland Village Health Care. She was born Sept. 1, 1909 to Charlie and Mary Burfield. She was a member of the Vinemont First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Hoyt McCormick; a daughter, Opal Louise McCormick; and a son, Hubert Lee McCormick.
Survivors include two sons, Buford Ray (Marie) McCormick of Baxter Springs, Kan. and Bobby Fred (Eloise) McCormick of Cullman; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday.

Martha Hazel Davis
Services for Martha Hazel Davis, 88, of Valley View Nursing Home in Madison will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Carlos Whilhite officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.
Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Davis died Sunday, Jan. 6 at her residence. She was born April 11, 1913 in Joe’s Branch, Tenn. to Charlie Walker and Clara DePriest Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
She served 25 years as a grey lady for the Red Cross at Cullman Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Marvin Curtis Davis.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca (Otis) Henderson of Madison and Ramona (Fred) Merrell of Cullman; a sister, Mary Ellen Blanchette of Old Hickery, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Lee Henderson of Madison, Steve Merrell and Sandra Carpenter, both of Cullman; and five great-grandchildren, Adam Carpenter, Kevin Carpenter,, Feribah Merrell, Nathanuel Merrell and Claire Merrell.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the Diabetes Foundation.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today

Verbie Jane Sellers Gay
Services for Verbie Jane Sellers Gay, 86, of Hanceville, were Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Jerry Lawson officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gay died Saturday, Jan. 5 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 17, 1915 in Winston County to Samuel and Nancy Jane Hill Sellers. She was a custodian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Taylor Gay; and two sons, Thermon E. Gay and Johnnie S. Gay.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Mike McCroy of Cullman, Sharon Stansberry of Hanceville and Nancy Waldrop of Baileyton; one great-grandson; four great-granddaughters; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation was Monday.

Mary Eleanor Pichelmayer
Services for Mary Eleanor Pichelmayer, 77, of Harvest, were Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Robert Sawyer officiating, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pichelmayer died Saturday, Jan. 5 at Windsor House Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 24,. 1924 in Blount County to Percy and Ethel Alldredge Putman. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Beth (Jerry) Perkins of Harvest and Christy (Sonny) Young of Birmingham; a sister, Bobbie Sawyer of Montgomery; five grandchildren, Billy Hawkins Jr. and Eric Perkins, both of Harvest, Becky Johnson of Alabaster, Todd Key of Bay St. Louis, Miss. and Laura Young of Birmingham; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday.

Margaret L. Lewis
Services for Margaret L. Lewis, 85, of Hanceville, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Robert Bromley officiating, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lewis died Saturday, Jan. 5 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 14, 1916 in Hanceville to Daniel and Lucy Quick. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Gail Roberts.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie (Donna) Lewis and Marlin (Betty) Roberts, both of Hanceville; a sister, Nora Meadows of Brighton; 10 grandchildren, Pam Bourgoin of Madison, Renae Carden, Nick and Nathan Lewis, Savannah Lewis, all of Hanceville, David Howard of Bessemer, Shannon Johnson of Florence, Brandon Lewis of Laramie, Wyo., Randall Roberts of Guntersville and Ashley Wilson of Cullman.
Visitation was Monday.

Dorothy Ojean Cook Kilpatrick
Services for Dorothy Ojean Cook Kilpatrick, 71, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002 at Holly Pond Funeral Chapel, Wesley Watts officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kilpatrick died Sunday, Jan. 6 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 27, 1930 in Cullman County to George and Margaret Burgess Cook. She was a retired nurse’s aide.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Kilpatrick; and a son Howard Kelly.
Survivors include a son, Roger (Teresa) Kelly of Cullman; a daughter, Bonnie (Harold) Kelly of Fairview; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday.

Mazola Robinson
Services for Mazola Robinson, 80, of Arley, were Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, the Revs. Steve Rodgers and Terry Phillips officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Robinson died Saturday, Jan. 5 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born June 15, 1921 in Winston County to Walter Brandon and Winnie Legg Cutcher. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James Robert Robinson.
Survivors include three daughters, Evelene (Carlton) Blackwood of Arley, Linda (Joe) Marlow of Sebring, Fla. and Sue (Glenn) McCain of Addison; two sisters, O’Bera (Homer) Meigs of Sebring, Fla. and Athalee McCurley of Cullman; six grandchildren, Amy Colburn, James Marlow, Clint Marlow, Stacy McCain, Kelly Horton and Amanda McCain; and seven great-grandchildren, Carley Colburn, Caitilyn Colburn, Allen Marlow, Brooke McCain, Dalton McCain, Laken Horton and Isaac Horton.
Visitation was Sunday.

Dova A. Tucker
Services for Dova A. Tucker, 91, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002 at Jones Chapel Church of Christ, Larry Pruitt and Dewey Sims officiating, with burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She died Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born July 31, 1910 to James S. and Naomi Guthery Tucker. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a brother, Nolan Tucker of Cullman; and three sisters, Dona Chandler and Dorthy Skinner, both of Jones Chapel, Martha Lee of Tuscaloosa.
Visitation was Wednesday.
