Services for Mary Magdalene Vest, 91, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Vest died Wednesday, Jan. 23 at her residence. She was born in Cullman County on Jan. 27, 1910 to Alvin and Lindey Godsby Parker. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mack Vest; son, Mack Vest Jr.; and a daughter, Carolyn Blevins.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Vest of Birmingham, Ray (Christine) Vest, Bill (Beverly) Vest both of Cullman; and one daughter, Frances Connell Smith of Cullman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Annie Rose Deason
Services for Annie Rose Deason, 86, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Dink Lambert officiating, with burial in McDade Cemetery in Carbon Hill.

Mrs. Deason died Wednesday, Jan. 23 at her residence. She was born Nov. 18, 1915 in Walker County to James Bennett and Buelah Laird Rose. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, George Robert Deason; and her son, George T. Deason.
Survivors include her son, Fred (Irene) Deason of Pleasant Grove; two daughters, Bobbie Franklin of Fultondale and Mary E. Gilley of Cullman; two brothers, Raymond Rose of Zion, Ill. and Joe Rose of Jasper; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Elizabeth Ann Agee
Services for Elizabeth Ann Agee, 46, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002 at Vinemont Church of Christ, Brian Hawkins and Joe Shane officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Agee died Wednesday, Jan. 23 at UAB Hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1956 in Jefferson County to Clyde and Jean McGlothin.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Agee of Cullman; her parents, Clyde and Jean McGlothin of Vinemont; a son, Jack Brown III of Fort Hood, Texas; a daughter, Angelia Jean Borders of Cullman; two brothers, James (Emie) McGlothin of Indiana and Leslie McGlothin of Cullman; five sisters, Melissa (Doug) Baughman, Margaret (Charlie) Hufkins and Linda (Rich) Sipes, all of Indiana, Wanda Hefner of Cullman, Rose McGlothin of Vinemont; and five grandchildren, Jordan Borders, Jessica Borders, Austin Smith, Hanna Brown and Bailey Luna.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Louis J. Collins
Services for Louis J. Collins, 89, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Collins died Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Woodland Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1912 to James and Julia Nail Collins. He worked for the city of Cullman sanitation department and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Dessie Leonard Collins.
Visitation was Thursday.
David Wayne Holcombe
Services for David Wayne Holcombe, 43, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, the Rev. Guy Hunt officiating, with burial in Gum Pond Cemetery.

Mr. Holcombe died Monday, Jan. 21 in New York. He was born Dec. 9, 1958. He was a respiratory therapist.
Survivors include his daughter, Emily Marie Holcombe; his parents, Darrel and Gwen Holcombe; and his brother, Dwight Holcombe.
Visitation will be at 5:30 p.m. today.
Capt. Charles R. Bradford, USN (ret.)
Graveside services for Capt. Charles R. Bradford, USN (ret.), 79, of Pensacola, Fla. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002 at Bethsadia Cemetery.

Capt. Bradford died Sunday, Jan. 20. He was a decorated combat pilot, having served in World War II and Korea. He served in Vietnam as the navigator of the USS Ranger and later became an intelligence officer serving in South America. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1969 with the rank of captain after 29 years of service. He returned to his hometown of Cullman and managed the Piggly Wiggly for eight years. He moved to Pensacola in 1977, where he was an officer of National Standard Parts, Inc. He was an avid golfer and a former member of Pensacola Country Club and assisted with local golf tournaments. He was a member of the Gateway Church of Christ in Pensacola.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Copeland; two brothers, Claude Bradford and Clarence Bradford; and two sisters, Ruth Tucker and Edna Brindley.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Bradford of Oakland, Calif., Gregory Bradford of Tampa, Fla. and Steven Bradford of Chesapeake, Va.; one sister, Grace McNabb of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Lauren, Charles and Megan; his long-time companion and best friend, Dottie Celano; and his three devoted cats, Percy, Tigger and Boo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rowe’s Orphanage for Cats and Kittens, 2191 Bush St., Pensacola, Fla. 32534 or to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Willis McAdams
Willis McAdams, 71, of Cullman died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002 at Woodland Medical Center.

Ethelene Allred
Services for Ethelene Allred, 73, of Cullman were held Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Roland Belew officiating, with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Allred died Thursday, Jan. 17 in Cullman. She was born in Alabama on April 14, 1928.
She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Allred; five brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Allred of Cullman and Roger Allred of Hanceville; five daughters, Darlene Allred, Rose Phelps and Janice Stanley, all of Cullman, Judy Elaine Allred of Good Hope, Jacqueline McKee of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Ann Shabrach of Montgomery; and 20 grandchildren.
Miriam White Oliver
Services for Miriam White Oliver, 85, of Redlands, Calif., formerly of Meridianville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002 at Arab Memorial Chapel, Morris Nunnlley officiating, with burial in Baileyton Cemetery.

Mrs. Oliver died Wednesday, Jan. 16 in Redlands, Calif. She was born Sept. 12, 1916 in Meridianville to Fleming and Florence Mae Jones White. She was a retired school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Monroe C. “Vandy” Oliver of Baileyton.
Survivors include two daughters, Lou Long and Alice Oliver, both of Redlands, Calif.; two sons, Fleming Oliver of Cupertino, Calif. and Joseph Oliver of Redlands, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth White of Jacksonville; and three grandchildren, Benjamin Long, Seth Long and Amy Long.
Margaret Diem Jones
Graveside services for Margaret Diem Jones, 64, of Cullman were Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002 at McMinn Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones died Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 16, 1937 to Alexander and Agnes Diem.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mr. McAdams died Thursday, Jan. 24 at Woodland Medical Center. He was born March 21, 1930 to Rufus Avery and Edyth Viola Bone McAdams. He was retired from the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Calloway McAdams; a son, Richard (Annette) McAdams Jr. of Hazel Green ; two daughters, Wanda (John) Huff of Crane Hill and Glenna (Ken) Cornelius of West Point; two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Eloise) Calloway and James (Mary) Calloway; a sister, Nettie Jean Bass; two sisters-in-law, Pat (Jimmie) Moore and Carolyn Hinkle; nine grandchildren, David Huff, Robert Cornelius, Brian Huff, Ben Cornelius, Kevin Huff, Steven Huff, Brittney McAdams, Courtney McAdams, Willis Richard “Trey” McAdams III; and one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Huff.

Una Ruth McKay

She died Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 7, 1912 in Blount County to Samuel Perry and Martha Ophelia Gaither McKay. She was a teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a great-niece, Joy Marsh Salyers; and a nephew, Lenar Keese.
