Services for Ervin Walter Michelfelder, 80, of Gainesville, Fla. will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, John Jankens officiating, with burial in Bethlehem East Cemetery.

Mr. Michelfelder died Friday, Jan. 25 at his residence. He was born July 8, 1921 in Hanceville to Otto and Rosa Mueller Michelfelder. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Michelfelder of Gainesville, Fla.; a daughter, Shirley (David) Pridgen of Youngstown, Fla.; four grandchildren, Adam Miller of Gainesville, Fla., Susan Miller of Lincoln, Mass., Brian Pridgen and Mike Pridgen, both of Youngstown, Fla.; and a great-grandchild, Elijah Miller of Gainesville, Fla.
Visitation was Monday.
John Fred Poole
Services for John Fred Poole, 68, of Falkville were Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002 at Union Hill Baptist Church, the Rev. Phillip Sessions officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Poole died Friday, Jan. 25 at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born July 8, 1933 in Cullman to Charlie Dewey and Ruth Odesa Foster Poole. He was retired from working maintenance at Wayne Farms and was a member of Unity Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charlie Poole Jr.; and a daughter, Dawn Poole.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldean Poole of Falkville; a son, Dwight Poole of Falkville; three daughters, Ramona Eargle of Vinemont, Rebecca McCleskey of Hartselle and Racheal Smallwood of Decatur; two brothers, Ezra Poole of Snead and Kenneth Poole of Oneonta; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his nephews.
Carol Hyde Hart
Services for Carol Hyde Hart, 59, of Hoover, formerly of Blountsville will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at St. Marks Methodist Church in Hoover, Dr. David Wells and the Rev. Ben F. Padgett officiating, with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Hart died Sunday, Jan. 27 at her residence. She was born in Blount County to Edward and Freda Young Hyde. She attended J.B. Pennington High School and was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church in Hoover. She worked for the CardioVascular Associates in Brookwood.
Survivors include a son, Nathan Hart of Hoover; a sister, Patsy Hyde Cargo of Trussville; four brothers, Ned Hyde of Blountsville, John Hyde of Arab, Charles Hyde of Holly Pond and Mark Hyde of Birmingham; and a previous husband, Harold Hart.

William Lester Dooley
Services for William Lester Dooley, 90, of Cullman were Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, the Rev. J.W. Hicks officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Dooley died Monday, Jan. 28 at Cullman Healthcare Center. He was born March 5, 1911 to B.E. and Alice James Dooley. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bershie Williams; and three brothers, Joe Dooley, Jack Dooley and Milton Dooley.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Seckfort Dooley of Cullman; two sons, Paul Dooley of Hanceville and Douglas Dooley of Stoneham, Mass.; a daughter, Margaret Bailey of Cullman; a brother, Hewett Dooley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Iva Carver and Windolene Jordan, both of Birmingham; and three granddaughters.
Visitation was Tuesday.
Willie Cate Hill Cook
Services for Willie Kate Cook, formerly Willie Cate Hill, 85, of Moundville will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, Kenneth Bailey officiating, with burial in Rocky Branch Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Cook died Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 6, 1916 to Ray and Lela Carpenter Jean. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include four sons, Buddy (Rose) Eskew of Foley, Donald (Betty) Eskew of Fresno, Calif., Bobby (Dita) Hill and Bill Hill of Moundville and his special friend Linda of Northport; two sisters, Mrs. U.V. Red Haynes and Mrs. Gwen (Dorsey) Ussery; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rocky Branch Baptist Church in Wedowee or the church of your choice.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today.
James Edwin Randall
James Edwin Randall, 68, of Cullman died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Randall was born Oct. 18, 1933 in Oklahoma to Aubrey L. and Celestia Evans Randall, who preceded him in death. He was a financial planner in insurance. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps.
He was survived by friends and his church family at Cullman First Baptist.
James Marce Cox

Mr. Cox died Saturday, Jan. 26 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Sept. 20, 1921 to Lewis Jasper and Edna Dean Cox. He was a farmer and a member of New Union Baptist Church in Hanceville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby (Carolyn) Cox and Keith (Audrey) Cox; a grandson, Heath Cox; a granddaughter, Heather Cox; and two brothers, Robert Cox and Roy Cox.
Visitation was Wednesday.
Macie A. Wilson
Services for Macie A. Wilson, 75, of Hanceville were Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hanceville, the Rev. John Jankins officiating, with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.

Mrs. Wilson died Saturday, Jan. 26. She was born in Coshocton, Ohio on May 20, 1926 to Arthur and Edith Wortley Lemon.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include six children, Damarius Hope McGee and Donovan A. Wilson, both of Hanceville, Charles Mark Wilson of Oneonta, Andrew Alan Wilson, Joseph Lee Wilson and Benjamin A. Wilson, all of Trussville; l7 grandchildren, John and Amy McGee, Shane Guillbeault, Carolyn Butler, Tina Stanford, Beverly Davis, Regina Mires, Debbie and Andrea Perry, Kristi Thompson, Jennifer Vaughn, Luke, Sarah, Adam, Macie Jo, Abraham and Noah Wilson; 22 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Alise Darr, Wilma Porter, Faith Keyser, all of Ohio.

Mrs. Motes died Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born May 19, 1923 in Cullman County to Henry J. and Susie Smith Milligan. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester L. Motes; and her daughter, Ona Lee Dunn.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Melinda) Dunn of Cullman and Doyle (Pamela) Dunn of Decatur; two sisters, Rosie Bryant and Dora Stuckey, both of Cullman; four grandchildren, Phillip (Valerie) Dunn of Cullman, Chris Dunn of Albuquerque, N.M., Daniel Dunn of Denver, Colo. and Lisa (Mark) Sellers of Birmingham; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Brittni Dunn and Shelby Leigh Sellers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Alford Paskel Black
Services for Alford Paskel Black, 66, of Blountsville were Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002 at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, Glen Bynum officiating, with burial in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Mr. Black died Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Medical Center Blount Hospital in Oneonta. He was born in Blount County to Wellington E. “Boss” and Lois Neal Black. He was a self-employed construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Curtis of Remlap; his mother, Lois Black of Blountsville; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Amanda; and a great-grandchild, Star.
Pallbearers will be Carl Curtis, Keith Bullard, Jerry Floyd, Joe Floyd, Grady Pate and Jeff Roberts.
H. Ray Steele
Services for H. Ray Steele, 71, of Gulfport, Miss., formerly of Gadsden, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002 at Riemann Memorial Chapel in N. Gulfport, Miss., with burial in Biloxi National Cemetery.

Mr. Steele died Monday, Jan. 28 in Gulfport. He was a Master Chief Steel Worker. He served three tours in Vietnam and also served in the Navy Seabees.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Bice and Grace Tittle Steele; and his wife, Brenda Hall Steele.
Survivors include three sons, Arthur Raymond Steele of Little Rock, Ark., John Arthur Steele of Atlanta and Alan Keith Young of Denver; a daughter, Suzanne Renee Redman of Washington, D.C.; and six grandchildren, Ricky Lane Steele, Shane Ray Steele, John Michael Steele, Samuel Steele Redman, Maxwell Edward Redman and Michael James.
Visitation was Wednesday.
