Robert ‘Bobby’ Nichols Jr.
Services for Robert “Bobby” Nichols Jr., 39, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Al Barton and John Bishop officiating, with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Nichols died Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Woodland Medical Center. He was born Jan. 1, 1963 in Jefferson County. He was assistant manager of the meat market at Warehouse Discount Grocery in Hanceville, a member of Ole Time Way Baptist Church and the Loretto Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Nichols; and two sisters, Jennifer Nichols and Patricia Nichols.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Davenport Nichols of Cullman; his father, Robert S. (Kathy) Nichols Sr. of Cullman; a daughter, Heather Christine Nichols of Madison County; a brother, Tim Nation of Cullman; and two sisters, Carolyn (Terry) Freeman and Janet (Shane) Willingham, both of Cullman.
Pallbearers will be his brothers in fire service.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Curtis Eugene Lee
Services for Curtis Eugene Lee, 67, of the Sardis community will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002 at Nichols Funeral Chapel, the Rev. David Miller, Jamie Hutcheson and Daniel Lee officiating, with burial in Sardis No. 2 Cemetery in Addison.
Lemley Funeral Chapel of Oneonta is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lee died Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cullman County to Elbert Monroe and Gracie Hopper Lee. He worked as a brick mason for a number of years and then as a truck driver for a logging company.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his son, Gary Lee of Sardis; a granddaughter, Bridgett Lee of Arley; two sisters, Vertis (Dual) Hale of White Oak and Barbara (Phillip) Hutcheson of Sardis; a brother, James (Cheryl) Lee of Sardis; eight nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Hale, Robbie Lee, Chad Lee, Johnny Box, Merle Barnett, Billy Barnett, Greg Durham and Jesse Lancaster.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison.
Lydia Ann Stiefelmeyer
Services for Lydia Ann Stiefelmeyer, 50, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at St. John’s Church, the Revs. Bob Kurtz and Chris Hester and Dr. Bill Callahan officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Miss Stiefelmeyer died Thursday, Feb. 14 at her residence. She was born May 16, 1951 in Alabama to Carl A. and Katheryn Rose Herrell Stiefelmeyer. She was a graduate of Cullman High School and Birmingham Southern College. She took nursing courses at Wallace State College and worked as a charge nurse at Cullman Regional Medical Center.She was a member of St. John’s Church and was a registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a sister, Karen Leffingwell; a brother, Carl (Tedi) Stiefelmeyer; two nephews, Chip Stiefelmeyer and John Leffingwell; two nieces, Heather (Rhett) Mills and Hilary Stiefelmeyer; a grand-nephew, Jacob Mills; and a grand-niece, Reilly Mills.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be the Humane Society of Cullman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Albert Gustave Schmale
Services for Albert Gustave Schmale, 77, of Cullman were Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Vernon Willis and Clenon Shedd officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Schmale died Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cullman County on Dec. 2, 1924 to Louis William and Elenore Boub Schmale. He was a truck driver in the oil industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife and the mother of his children, Loney V Schmale.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie B. Schmale of Cullman; two sons, Craig Lamar Schmale of Hanceville, Ricky Allen Schmale of Cullman; four grandchildren, Kevin Schmale, Daniel Schmale, Michelle Schmale, Wade Schmale; one great-grandchild, Caleb Schmale; and one sister, Olga Louise Schmale of Portland, Ore.
Cordelia Melissa Paris
Services for Cordelia Melissa Paris, 78, of Cullman were Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at Simcoe Baptist Church, Jimmy Baker officiating, with burial in Simcoe Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Paris died Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born Aug. 6, 1923 in Georgia to Green Oscar and Rhoda Lee Stanford Brand. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Alfred Lee Paris and John David Paris Jr.
Survivors include her husband, John David Paris of Cullman; four sons, Lewis (Shelby) Paris, Johnnie (Sharron) Paris, Leroy (Francis) Paris, Jerry (JoAnn) Paris, all of Cullman, and Bennie (Sharron) Paris of Nashville, Ga.; three daughters, Deeda Paris of Wauchule, Fla., Sandra (Tim) Swearingen and Mary (William) Criscoe, both of Cullman; two brothers, Luther Brand of Oxford and Arnold Brand of Ashland; a sister, Myrtle Brand of Michigan; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Flora Irene Wilkins
Services for Flora Irene Wilkins, 77, of Addison were Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at Addison Church of God, the Revs. Parker and Wooten officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wilkins died Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Cullman Long Term Care.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Wilkins; a son, Vic Wilkins of Vinemont; a daughter, Carolyn Hood of Addison; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Chestell Sherbonda and Ruth Durbin, both of Daytona, Fla., Thelma Smith of Arley and Audary Dodd of Okeechobee, Fla.
Robert ‘Bob’ Wunderlich
Services for Robert “Bob” Wunderlich, 70, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fr. Kevin McGrath officiating, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Wunderlich died Friday, Feb. 15 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Alabama on Dec. 19, 1931. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the state of California school system and was an Army veteran. After moving to Cullman, he was employed by Moss Service Funeral Home from 1988 until his retirement in 2001.
Survivors include one sister, Josephine Shipman; two nieces, Mary Garaco, Edna Haymon; one nephew, Robert Hunt; and close friends, Helen Handley and Paul and Ortha Lankford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cullman County.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pauline Estelle Gay
Graveside services for Pauline Estelle Gay, 85, of Blountsville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at Hopewell Cemetery, the Rev. Paul Mohr officiating.

Mrs. Gay died Friday, Feb. 15 at Medical Center Blount. She was born in White City on April 11, 1916 to Joseph and Tillie Latta. She was an inspector.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Arnold C. Gay.
Survivors include one son, Douglas (Virginia) Gay of Blountsville; two daughters, Betty (Chuck) McCormick, Deanie (Ron) Parsons both of Pelham; three brothers, Buck Latta of Panama City, Fla., J.D. Latta, Jackie Latta both of Gardendale; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Rachel L. Crocker
Rachel L. Crocker, 83, of San Jose, Calif. died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at Bessemer Carraway Methodist Medical Center.

She was born in Alabama on July 18, 1918 to Warner and Jimmy Cosper Gibbs. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Larry Norman of San Jose, Calif.
James Harvey Charles
Services for James Harvey Charles, 67, of the Hulaco community in Joppa will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at Arab-Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Bud Wilkinson, Willis Hill and Roger Latham officiating, with burial in Ryan Cemetery.

Mr. Charles died Friday, Feb. 15 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Marshall County on Sept. 8, 1934 to Samuel Carl and Vivian Camp Charles. He was retired from Eaton Corp. where he worked in craft maintenance. He was a a founding member of the Tri-County Fire Department at Hulaco and was instrumental in starting the Joppa, Hulaco, Ryan Water Authority. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Madelyn Green Charles of Hulaco; son, Alan (Kathy) Charles of Hulaco; brother, T.D. Dyane Charles of Arab; two sisters, Johnnie Latham Thomas, Cherry Sue Bowen both of Hulaco; and three grandchildren, Kevin, Kristen and Kasey James Charles.
Pallbearers will be Tony Latham, Dennis Latham, Harry Bowen, Kenny Hawkins, Mark Hawkins, Mark Easterwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Latham, Kerry Hawkins, Perry Latham, Danny Latham.
Visitation was Saturday.
Alice Marie Dahlke Duett
Services for Alice Marie Dahlke Duett, 84, of Meridian, Miss. will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Philip Wottrich officiating, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Duett died Friday, Feb. 15 at Rush Hospital. She was a homemaker and retired owner of Dahlke Motors. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Dahlke.
Survivors include her husband, Johnnie J. Duett of Meridian, Miss.; daughter, Mary Alice (Terry) Dubose of Meridian, Miss.; son, Robert (Sharon) Dahlke of Meridian, Miss.; and four grandchildren, Phillip Dubose, Katie Dubose, Robby Dahlke, Ashley Dahlke.
