Graveside services for Eunice L. Poole, 87, of Hartselle will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001 at Corinth Cemetery, the Rev. Roland Westmoreland officiating.

Mrs. Poole died Thursday, Dec. 27 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born in Lawrence County on Dec. 14, 1914 to George and Sarah Hightower Hampton. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 67 years, Claude Poole.
Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Pearson of Birmingham; a sister, Elma Carter of Hartselle; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mary Perothers
Mary Perothers, 93, of Birmingham, formerly of Cullman, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001.
She was living at Beverly Healthcare - Riverchase. She is survived by her son, Robert Perothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Red Cross, Disaster Relief Fund at 950 22nd St. N. Suite 750, Birmingham, Ala. 35203.
A private memorial service is planned.

Minnie Goodwin
Services for Minnie Goodwin, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, the Rev. Dillion Calvert officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mrs. Goodwin died Friday, Dec. 28 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cullman County on Feb. 3, 1907. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Goodwin; daughters, Vonell Murray and Jane Cobb and son, Carl Goodwin.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Harbinson and Ruth Johnson, both of Cullman; son-in-law, Delmus Murray of Crane Hill; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Saturday.
Hazel Crider
Services for Hazel Crider, 79, of Locust Fork will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2001 at Blount County Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Roy White officiating, with burial in Tabernacle Cemetery.

Mrs. Crider died Saturday, Dec. 29 in Blount County. She was born in Cullman County. She was a retired secretary for the Auburn Extension Service and was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Grover C. Crider; two sons, Lyle (Mary) Crider of Locust Fork, Phillip N. Crider of Oneonta; one daughter, Diann (Eugene) Foster of Algood; two grandchildren, Lori Crider of Madison, Cheri Cedillo of Locust Fork; and two great-grandchildren, Tina and Jesse Cedillo.
Bessie Mae Harris Buzbee
Services for Bessie Mae Harris Buzbee, 96, of Jasper will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31, 2001 at Mount Hope Baptist Church, Wayne Williams and Winfred Owens officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Buzbee died Friday, Dec. 28 at Ridgeview Health Care. She was born in Cullman County on Feb. 7, 1905 to Nathaniel “Nat” and Mary Murphy Harris. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William Roy Buzbee; two daughters, Kathleen Buzbee, Opal Bailey; five brothers, Earl, Virgil, Elbert, Marion and Fred Harris; and four sisters, Allie McCracken, Essie Ballinger, Aude Allen, Maude Light.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Tidwell of Birmingham, Mabel (Alfred) Boyd of Pineywoods; two sons, Joseph M. (Pat) Buzbee, Mike (Dana) Buzbee both of Pineywoods; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Linda Gayle Hinds
Services for Linda Gayle Hinds, 54, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001 at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Larry Brown officiating, with burial in Holly Pond Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinds died Tuesday, Dec. 11 at her residence. She was born in Jefferson County on June 13, 1947 to Andrew and Nola Dean Bailey Polcawich. She was a hairdresser.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Wayne Hinds of Hanceville; two sons, John Scott (Stacie) Baker of Cullman, Joseph Wesley (Tammy) Baker of Bessemer; step-son, Richard Hinds of Cullman; two daughters, Jennifer Dawn Hinds of Cullman; daughter-in-law, Karen Hinds of Holly Pond; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Clara B. Rollo
Services for Clara B. Rollo, 76, of Bremen will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001 at Macedonia Baptist Church, the Revs. Winford Owens and Dale Banks officiating, with burial in McKinleys Chapel Cemetery in Cold Springs.

Mrs. Rollo died Monday, Dec. 10 in Bremen. She was born on Nov. 13, 1925 in Dora to Henry and Ada Franklin Martin. She was a cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Abe Rollo.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Rollo and Glenn Rollo, both of Bremen; three daughters, Betty Calvert, Mary Calvert, both of Crane Hill and Geraldine McCormick of Haleyville; two brothers, Dan Martin of Walker County and James Martin of Quinton; a sister, Etta Phillips of Cordova; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday.
Irvin Herman ‘Hooter’ Benner
Services for Irvin Herman “Hooter” Benner, 83, of Eva will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001 at Eva Methodist Church, the Rev. Billy Mosteller officiating, with burial in the Eva Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Benner died Sunday, Dec. 9 at his residence. He was born in Texas on Oct. 13, 1918 to Otto and Eva Cain Benner. He was a maintenance manager for Chromalloy Company. He was of the Methodist faith and an alumni of the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, Texas. He was a veteran of World War II and saw action in North Africa and European Theater.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Gracie Benner of Eva; one son, Stephen Benner of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Dona K. Benner of Eva, Nada L. Vinson of Ft. White, Fla.; one brother, Hershel K. Benner of Red Oak, Texas; one sister, Geneva Lois Wallace of Eva; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Eva United Methodist Church.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Thornton Chase Lowe
Thornton Chase Lowe, 76, of Dodge City died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1925 to Thornton M. and Jeanne E. Chase Lowe. He graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, Ill. in 1943. He then served in the U.S. Navy until 1946. He married Joyce Marie Fleming in 1949 and graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis. in 1950. He was manager of DuPage Service Company, active in municipal government and retired from Felming Sales, Inc. in Chicago, Ill. in 1990. He is buried in Arlington Cemetery in Elmhurst, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation would be a grateful tribute.
Robert Julian Gamble Sr.
Services for Robert Julian Gamble Sr., 64, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2001 at Damascus Baptist Church, the Rev. Barry Presley officiating, with burial in Damascus Cemetery.

Mr. Gamble died Thursday, Dec. 6 at Veterans Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Cullman County on Feb. 17, 1937 to Charles Verlis and Frances Lou Parson Gamble. He was a member of New Union Baptist Church, a Ham radio operator (W4RJG), and a Private first class in the U.S. Army. He was also a personal bodyguard to President Eisenhower.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Jeana Renea Gamble of Dallas, Texas; son, RJ (Michelle) Gamble Jr. of Prairieville, La.; brother, Charles V. Gamble Jr. of Cullman; two sisters, Brenda Hinkle of Hanceville, Kay Neel of Birmingham; and five grandchildren, Adeana Gamble, Gerrard Gamble both of Dallas, Texas, Kamryn Gamble, Shelby Gamble, Taylor Gamble all of Prairieville, La.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
