Services for Mary Tinsley Cartwright, 84, of Huntsville will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2002 at First United Methodist Church in Anniston, Dr. R. Laurence Dill officiating, with burial in Forestlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Cartwright died Friday, April 12. She was born Jan. 21, 1918. She was a resident of Anniston for 40 years, a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, and was retired from AmSouth Bank.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Fred S. Cartwright.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne C. (Donald) Davis of Cullman and Linda Spalla of Huntsville; a sister, Nancy White of Cleveland, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Tim and Lisa Davis, Chris and Nancy Parton, all of Birmingham and Matt and Janet Davis and Natalie Spalla, all of Huntsville; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in her memory to Trinity United Methodist Church at 617 Airport Road, Huntsville, Ala. or First United Methodist Church in Anniston.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Elzie Ruth Allred
Services for Elzie Ruth Allred, 74, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Funeral Chapel, Patrick Allred officiating, with burial in Allgood Cemetery.

Mrs. Allred died Friday, April 12 at her residence. She was born in Blount County on Jan. 19, 1928 to Marvin and Parry Wilson Hartley. She was a factory worker at King Edward Co.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James H. Allred.
Survivors include three sons, James G. Allred, Thomas Allen Allred, Roy V. Allred all of Vinemont; two brothers, Marshal Hartley of Pell City, Bobby Hartley of Atalla; four sisters, Vonnie McGlaugn, Jeannette Davis both of Guntersville, Ruby Roberson of Pell City, Lola Mae Thomas of Oneonta; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Maggie Irona Chandler
Services for Maggie Irona Chandler, 96, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Johnny Wayne Jones officiating, with burial in Flint Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Chandler died Friday, April 12 at her residence. She was born Jan. 11, 1906 to Fernando D. and Florence L. Barbee Shikles. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, King Chandler.
Survivors include her son, Casper Chandler of Decatur; three daughters, Betty McClellan, Jo Terry both of Vinemont, Joyce Barbee of Hartselle; and one sister, Velma Wilks of St. Louis, Mo.

Services for Louise Mary Annie Morrow, 83, of Cullman will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Tim Dubberly officiating, with burial in Rice Cemetery.

Mrs. Morrow died Friday, April 12 at her residence. She was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Hulaco to Charles Walter and Essie Stevens Martin. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace Morrow; granddaughter, Megan Maltbie; and son-in-law, Rex Maltbie.
Survivors include four sons, Alvin (Tracy) Morrow of Vinemont, Beedie (Shirley) Morrow of Laverne, Johnny (Connie) Morrow of Alpharetta, Ga., Joe (Vicki) Morrow of Gadsden; two daughters, Martha Maltbie of Alpharetta, Ga., Mary (Mike) Tate of Fresno, Calif.; brother, Will Joe Martin of Cullman; sister, Betty Wilkes of Arab; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Jackie Lanier Kennemur
Services for Jackie Lanier Kennemur, 63, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2002 at St. John’s United Church, the Rev. Bob Kurtz and Fr. Leonard Giardina officiating, with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the service.

Mr. Kennemur died Friday, April 12 at Woodland Medical Center. He was born in Bear Creek on Sept. 17, 1938 to Fleming Alfred and Autie Lurley Kennemur. He was a machinist for NASA and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Kennemur of Cullman; son, Matthew Kennemur of Cullman; daughter, Caprice Wilson of Cullman; sister, Patty Gail Choat of Tennessee; two brothers, Dale Kennemur of Oklahoma, Joel Kennemur of Hanceville; and three grandchildren, Kaitlon Kennemur of Hodges, Mary Catherine Wilson, Megan Wilson both of Cullman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Bernard Fredrick Schaefers Sr.
Services for Bernard Fredrick Schaefers Sr., 80, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fr. Kevin McGrath officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Schaefers died Friday, April 12 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1922. He was retired from production at National Screw, was active in the Farmer’s Market, worked for Evers Humple and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Edward Schaefers.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Josephine Graveman Schaefers; three sons, Bernard (Susan) Schaefers Jr. of Eva, Robert (Betty) Schaefers of Remlap, John (Judy) Schaefers of Argo; two daughters, Margaret (Gary) Teichmiller of Vinemont, Theresa Stevens of Cullman; four brothers, Theodore (Rachel) Schaefers, James (Nancy) Schaefers, Thomas (Hulda) Schaefers, George (Sue) Schaefers all of Cullman; two sisters, Cecilia Kinney of Cullman, Helen (Othell) Davis of West Point; one sister-in-law, Elna Jean Schaefers; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home with a 7:30 p.m. rosary.

Mrs. Tekulve died Friday, April 12 at Woodland Village Nursing Home. She was born June 14, 1909 to Adolph and Freda Leigeber Herfurth. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben Tekulve; and sister, Mabel Henke.
Survivors include her son, Robert B. Tekulve of Mt. Olive; two daughters, Betty Clos Hoffman of Cullman, Dorothy Jackson of Homestead, Fla.; two brothers, Clifford Herfurth, Charles Herfurth both of Cullman; 12 grandchildren, Jim Clos, Joe Clos, John Clos, Joyce Sellers, Rob Tekulve, Karen Casey, Pat Tekulve, Ron Tekulve, Heather Arthur, Dana McCoy, Keith Perry, Gina Cardillo; and four step-grandchildren, Michael Jackson, Aaron Hoffman, Andy Hoffman, Adam Hoffman.
Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. today with a 5:30 p.m. rosary.

Mr. Smith died Friday, April 12 at his residence. He was born in Cullman County on May 15, 1954. He was a truck driver.

Mr. Thomason died Friday, April 12, at his residence. He was born in Cullman on April 16, 1910. He was a farmer and a bricklayer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Pesnell Thomason; two daughters, Shirley Thomason, Linda Fae Campbell; and one son, Buford Earnest Thomason.
Survivors include four sons, Ethredge (Betty) Thomason, Charles R. (Kathy) Thomason, Milton (Shelia) Thomason all of Cullman, Othel (Susan) Thomason of Hartselle; four daughters, Betty (Larry) Strickland, Gwendolyn Rodgers both of Cullman, Barbara (Larry) Phillips of Hartselle, Lynette (Ronald) Parrish of Horton; brother, Arthur (Ruth) Thomason of Eva; sister, Jessie Moore of Hanceville; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Ruby ‘Vilene’ Shoemaker Lynn
Ruby “Vilene” Shoemaker Lynn, 63, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., formerly of Cullman, died unexpectedly at her residence Wednesday, April 10, 2002.
Mrs. Lynn was born in Cullman on Dec. 3, 1938 to Robert and Ruby Shoemaker and lived in Florida for the past 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lynn; a son, Derek Lynn; daughter-in-law, Simca Lynn; two grandsons, Damian and Devin Lynn; three sisters, Joyce (James) Pigg, Reba Rooks, and Gail (Virgil) Dotson; and three brothers, Robert (Doll) Shoemaker, David (Vetra) Shoemaker, and Charles Shoemaker.
In accordance with Mrs. Lynn’s wishes, she will be cremated. No funeral services were planned. She also requested no flowers or donations.
